Disjointed and weird
Even though the cast did a good enough job, the storyline was extremely disjointed and it's like they ran out of money, threw their hands in the air and said what the hell, just stop now - there is no ending - after 54 it went back to ep 1, so I rechecked the synopsis to see how many episodes it was meant to have - the story just .... ends, and makes no sense at allVond je deze recentie nuttig?
More beauty trap than strategy
Love short series, and the Chinese seem to excel in them. This one wasn't disappointing at all - the storyline was different to recent series but still used the abused women ingredient, it's about time this was fazed out. When it came up with THE END I thought, nice ending - then they did a Marvel on us and included a cut scene - which now implies the possibility of a S2 as she contemplates leaving him for her clan - or is this a trap by the ex Consort 🤔Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
