UPDATE: Started strong, but fizzled out.
Original review after 4 episodes: I wish Disney listed it as ongoing. At least where I am however many episodes are up, look like they that's all there is. I thought it was complete and watched the four released episodes in a night and was left so mad at myself, because I wanted more. And now I have to wait until November to see it all play out. 😭Honestly though, it is good. The main female character reminds me of Sim Eun-Seok from Juvenille Justice or Koo Ryeon from Tomorrow, but at an unhinged level. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about how it would be. I hadn't thought much of Park Shin-Hye as an actress. It isn't that I thought she was bad, it just didn't seem like she had a lot of range based on what I'd seen her in. Apparently that was the writing or direction, because she has shown much more range in these first four episodes than I can really recall from most of the dramas I'd seen her in previously.
I can't wait to see where this goes. I do worry a littttle bit that it might try to do too much. Like I see threads for different plots it could follow popping up and like...if it tries to grab all of them I think it will end up more a knot than a braid. Not my best metaphor, but my point still stands.
Side note, I do feel like spider guy should cut her a little slack. I mean, the guy confessed to killing three people. How was she supposed to know that was more of a childhood guilt thing than an actual confession? She's not psychic, she's just a demon sent to torture and kill murderers and there was a guy in front of her telling her he was a murderer.

UPDATE: after the first like 7 episodes of supernatural revenge it fizzled out into a forced romance. Whole subplots seemed like they were dropped and the world building was lacking.
A-rong's whole purpose of being a demon punishing demons who fall in love came up once when she killed that random demon from the demon support group. But the group never comes back and her purpose quickly fades to the background in favor of the romance. She went from having her own purpose to apparently just tagging along as Justitia's underling. Man-do's whole thing about him attending church was never expanded on. A high-level angel who apparently was able to just peace out on his heavenly responsibilities to babysit a detective, though mainly in the form of vague warnings. The ultimate evil was scrunched pretty easily once they tracked him down. Honestly, her peer and co-second-to-Bael seemed more threatening than Lucifer in the end. Bael's character confused me entirely since it seemed like he wanted her to fail. I thought it would end up being the big twist/villain situation (since Lucifer was a little underwhelming) that Bael set her up because he was her worried her "I'm the demon of all demons" attitude meant she might try to challenge him and he wanted to basically smack her down before she rebelled. But, no it kind of went nowhere and ended with him being like "I'm glad you're my successor and would be disappointed to lose you". Her being a serial killer leaving bodies of criminals the justice system didn't punish branded with "hell" just kind of get dropped from the plot.
I liked the parts where she made the killers suffer the same fates as their victims. It was not only kind of satisfying (though I personally liked the psychological aspect of them having to feel what their victims did more than the just-straight-beating them up), especially the stalker who almost drove his ex to take her own life, but it really showed off how talented an actress she is when given the right scene. Honestly, I would have preferred to drop the romance and have it be more like Youth Justice where each episode is a different case and then her balancing being a human judge and demon judge to give them justice. Maybe still keep her paired up with a detective to balance the justice vs. vengeance aspect.
As for the romance...I mean, I don't get it. He was drawn to her first from their first trial but then was pretty quickly against her and only following her in the hopes of taking her down and proving her a killer. He wasn't even like trying to be nice to get the information, he made his suspicion 100% clear. He also accused her of killing the other demon after she had basically stepped in to save his life from being killed by that demon. And lectures her about like "oh, just 'cause you're a demon, you think you get to demon things". So, other than his looks, I'm not sure what she saw in him to become so obsessed with him that she was basically ready to risk everything to keep him around. And then he goes from being all "killing killers is bad and makes you bad" to "kill this killer for me" in less than 24 hours. And he then transitioned from capable cop a bit over his head in a supernatural situation to just kind of being a damsel in distress.
I feel like it tried to so much from the start and then had to let things go. Like, if they dropped the whole Lucifer thing and all the moments of Man-do going to church, that would have given them time to establish the romance more.

If you're looking for angst, drama, or spice this isn't for you.
This is a mellow drama. I would say it is kind of comparable to We Are in tone, but with fewer couples and less making out. So, if you are looking for the angst of something like A Tale of Thousand Stars or Until We Meet Again, the drama of Bad Buddy or Love in the Air, or the spice of KinnPorshe or Venus in the Sky. You won't find it here. If you're looking for the catchy tunes of My High School President, you will also not find it here. What you will find is a chill, slow burn relationship between an introvert with extreme social anxiety, relationship trauma and a tense family situation being slowly healed by the unending affection, patience and positivity radiating from his golden retriever in human form neighbor.
Overall, it was cute. The friend group was great. I love when the friend groups are actually good friends. They also don't disappear as soon as the couple forms and are actually also supportive of Diew. And there were really great moments where they picked up when someone in the group (or even God) was making Diew uncomfortable and someone would step in to change the subject or help. It was such a small scene, but I loved it so much when they were on a trip together and it was clear Diew was feeling a little smothered by God. And yes, him and God talk it out pretty quickly and peacefully, but when they rejoined the group, one of the friends also brought Diew to sit next to them instead and when he was gone another friend told God that he was being too much. So, they may not have known God and Diew talked it out already, but they were still willing to step in on Diew's behalf.
There was a huge emphasis on communicating and while they both had moments where they tripped up and didn't do it, they did eventually talk things out. And again, with the big misunderstanding, God's friends came in clutch. He's sulking and all "I don't get why Diew said/did that" and they're just like, "well, I don't have the answers. Stop talking to me and go talk to him."
Also shout out to the product placement, 'cause it took multiple episodes before it clicked that the phone was being marketed. And it was genuinely working on me. Like some of the features it showed off (which were a little weird in context, but not unbelievable) had me curious about the phone and wishing my phone had them.
The acting felt a little awkward at times and it was hard to parse out if that was the character or the actor, since I'm not really familiar with these actors in other things. With God being in a band, I do wish there had been more music.
Also, the vet was a jerk and I just feel like there should have been some karma going his way. Especially since he didn't change. His whole apology was still totally focused on himself and occurred after he basically stalked and cornered Diew into talking to him. Like dude didn't even consider Diew's feelings in his apology to Diew for previously hurting his feelings.
And I feel like social media could have been used to develop them and their relationship more. Like we get little insights at how Diew is feeling from what he posts on social media and God seems to start posting more when he sees Diew posting, but I feel like it could have been used more to like...show them growing closer together in little "this made me think of you" ways that are not in the form of a giant stuffed turtle. Like if God posted a picture with a quote from the book thing bonded over. Or if Diew posted about like having a headache and so God left him a bag on his door with medication. Or even text message conversations. Like the post-it notes to each other were cute. It would have been cute to keep up that kind of thing (as post-its on each others doors or reading space, or changing it to texts/social media posts instead) even after they got together.

Cute and light, if not a bit scattered
It was cute and sweet. The main couple were good together and overall there were no real angst or big dramatic misunderstandings that went on for long.....That said, it wasn't really an angst free situation, it's more like they were hinted at then immediately dropped? Like Nhai was shown to have nightmares a couple times. But we don't really see any of them but one later in their relationship. So, there is no real explanation as to why. I also feel like with Nhai, it's very clear he has issues. And like I understand why, it sounds like from his intro and what we see that girls see him and think he's cool and sort of get this idealized view of him and then pursue/date him and are immediately disappointed by how goofy, scatter-brained, and messy he really is and then leave him. So, he's afraid of Ai doing the same. But like...other than him having a few freak outs, it doesn't go too much into it or resolve it. And then the same happens with Ai's mom and sister and bio-dad situation. They come up...then fizzle out without any real resolution or closure. Like the sister seemed to like Ai and want to be family, but then had basically no reaction at all to her mom physically hurting and insulting his boyfriend right in front of her. Like she didn't even look upset or shocked? And then mom made all these threats only to just...leave and not come back. Also, got to say it got a little weird how often it came up that Ai was originally drawn to Nhai because Nhai looked like his step-dad.
I liked that the female character that was pursuing one of the leads didn't become a villain. She pretty quickly realized where his interests were and then basically decided to tease them and be friends instead.
I also liked the friend group. They felt realistic. Like the right mix of insults and supportiveness. Like you could imagine them driving for hours to track Nhai down when he got lost, but you also know the entire drive back is going to be them teasing him for it. Also I was laughing so hard when after he accidentally drank all that alcohol they were immediately like "okay, what was the best tasting thing here? We need to move it away from you so it doesn't end up in your bag". And they were right too.
And frankly, they're just as thick as Nhai. They literally heard Ai say, "are you mad I won't let you drink soda?...if I see you in pain in bed tonight, I'll ignore you". Like he really just admitted to both restricting his diet and sharing a bed and they were still like "nah. they're just friends :)".
Speaking of Nhai's ability to get lost, I think Nhai has ADHD. Because I relate very strongly and a lot of these could be symptoms. The getting lost, the easily distracted, food obsessions, misplacing items, special interest in travel, pocketing things that you might want later from the rubber band and shell to food (though never just loose in my bag like the sausages were, but he was drunk), etc.
The two things that I think were my biggest issues were the timing and the whole reluctant bottom/"straight" partner trope. It wasn't as much of an issue when I first watched as it was one of the first BL dramas I'd seen. But now it's just kind of...annoying having so much time when it could be developing their romance spent on internal debates about positions (as if switching wasn't a thing) and sexuality (often with a "I'm straight, my boyfriend is just an exception" conclusion). Also maybe it's just me, but I don't want to see a "romantic" scene where one person seems to be begrudgingly going along with it. I'd prefer two people in love actually seem like they're in love and want to be together.
For the timing, I couldn't quite pick up what the timeline was in terms of how much time was passing between scenes. Especially in the first few episodes. It almost seemed like official meeting, having lunch together, and hanging out at the dorms where Ai played guitar could have been the same day as Nhai seeing his crush had a boyfriend. It could also have been a month later, it's not super clear. The day after Nhai saw his crush with her boyfriend, Nhai got drunk at Ai's place and they slept together. The next day Nhai freaks out and tries to ghost Ai. And then, it's not clear if him ghosting him is all the same day before Ai tracks him down or if it's been days. Ai confronts Nhai and they decide to live together. The next day they go out on a date (and to get Nhai's bike). It seems like later that same day their friends are together and make a comment like "since Nhai got his heartbroken, he's spent all his time with Ai". Which suggests that he didn't ghost him for very long as they would have seen them apart, but also seems weird since it seems like it's been like less than 48 hours since he got his heartbroken. And then after when Nhai says he is going home for the weekend like he usually does, Ai is surprised and says he didn't know that he did that. But it's already established that he's been tracking his location since like that first day they had lunch as friends, so he likely would have known if the events had happened over more than a week or so. So like, the entirety of the events of the series seem like they could have happened in like a few weeks or the course of a full year.

One of the worst cases of 2nd male lead syndrome I’ve ever experienced.
The male lead repeatedly did things he knew would hurt her and then would just show up and expect her to be fine and stay friends with him. And she did. Like I don’t even care that his parents got divorced or whatever for someone who claims to care about her, he didn’t seem to care that he hurt her by fake dating someone else (someone he knew was doing it to hurt her, like mean girl straight up told him that was her motive) because he knew the female lead liked him and instead of just telling her he wanted to stay friends he decided breaking her heart was a better solution apparently, making out with her and confessing and then ghosting her for over two years, coming back and acting like nothing happened, continually hanging out with the fake friend he fake dated and letting her hang off him knowing it would hurt the female lead, he literally didn’t even correct the fake friend when she said they were on a date after he had JUST bailed last minute on his plans with the female lead (so it really seemed like they were going to meet and catch up and he chose to go have a date with the ex friend who is constantly being condescending and mean to her instead). And then again something big happens and he GHOSTS HER. And she just waits around for him to finally get his act together and goes running when he calls. I don’t even think he ever explained to her why he acted the way he had. Or clarified that he and fake friend had never dated. I’m pretty sure he just was like “sorry I’ve been a butthead, but I love you. So let’s move on and be together. And I probably won’t ghost you again.”Like nope. No, thank you. She is surrounded by self-centered backstabbers. From the coward male lead, the fake ex-friend, to her current saboteur of a roommate. The second male lead is basically the only exception, as he is supportive and just wants her to be happy. And even while knowing she likes someone else still goes running whenever she needs help and just wants to stay by her side even as just a friend. Like, why didn't she pick him? (To be fair to her, he wasn't like super assertive about his feelings, but I think that was because it was pretty clear she was still hung up on ML and so he knew he was in the friendzone without having to try to force his feelings on her). But still, he would never intentionally hurt her to protect himself, hurt her then ghost her, or even just ghost her. He was so much better! Ugh. You know what, it's probably for the best. He's not a second choice. So, I'm counting it as a win because clearly this female lead prefers to be the main lead's doormat and he deserves someone who will put him first.
In that regard, I was VERY glad the roommate did NOT end up being the love interest for the second male lead. Because she definitely doesn't deserve someone as good as him until she makes amends and grows up. We didn’t get too much about the future for him other than he chose to do his military service to get some time away from the female lead now that she’s officially with the male lead. Which is understandable since it would be hard to see up close. But when he comes back on leave he seems okay with their PDA and is still a good friend.
Frankly, by the end, I only really cared and kept watching for him.

OK, I guess. I'm just bitter about what could have been.
It had its moments, but falls short in execution for me. For a South Korea-Thailand "collaboration" it was missing any real sense of collaborating. The Thai male lead communicates solely in Thai and that is the extent of the Thai-related anything and him being Thai doesn't influence the plot really at all. It would really change nothing about the story to have him be from somewhere else, even just somewhere else in Korea. Like it is resolved so quickly with the ear pieces that it doesn't even take advantage of the potential misunderstandings that could come from not speaking the same language. And it never really seemed to explain how/why his assistant and manager apparently both understood Thai, but didn't speak it. Just as he understood Korean, but didn't speak it. Overall, it just felt half-baked. There was so much missed potential, it's hard to just focus on viewing it for what it is and not what it could have been. Also, this feels like a weird complaint, but their traumas both felt fairly light for the amount that it seems to affect them. Like a stray dog that used to be friendly, growled and snapped at him once and that's why Piuno is terrified of dogs. I mean, it was a stray. It could have been hurt or protecting its puppies. It's not even like it even actually bit him. He also saved the dog in the beginning because it reminded him of that dog, so he clearly still cared about it. And then Dae is afraid of love because he and his ex got outed as being a couple and his ex thought it would be better for them to break up. It was giving "Nobel Idiocy" trope, not betrayal. I mean, if it was ex's idea to come out and then he bailed rather than dealing with the circumstances that would be different. But this felt like the ex saw that Dae loved to sing and might want to pursue that career and didn't want to stand in his way. But, maybe I've just seen too many of the more angsty dramas where you have people who were SAed by someone they should have been able to trust (stepparent/friend/partner/etc), born and raised in a secret room with nearly no human interaction for like 20 years, watched one or both parents die, been kidnapped (at least once), almost been murdered by relatives, etc.
The reality TV show seemed a bit odd to me. And the woman was frustrating, but also seemed incompetent. When she saw the dog come back and they were reunited the other woman in the van was in tears and she was really like "ugh this won't get views" like...are you dumb or just clueless? And then she proved she was both by ignoring the contract they'd signed which could get her fired/sued.

So bad, it's good.
This show was weird. It kind of reminded me (though loosely) of Atashinchi no danshi. Basically he ends up living with three brothers that are all quirky and weird in their own way. Luv ends up living in their house under false pretenses searching for his destiny. And honestly it was a funny and wild ride. Like it was so ridiculous and nonsensical that it was good. It was so consistently over-the-top that it somehow worked. What didn't work was the dubbing. It was just too much. And it wasn't really done...well? Like the audio dubbing sounded kind off at times. As if the microphone died and they couldn't get a new one so just used like a phone. And there were times where it was hard to tell what was meant to be someone's thoughts versus what someone said out loud. Especially when the person's mouth didn't seem to be moving, but then it seemed like someone else responded to what they had "said". But it was hilarious to me in one of the fight scenes when one of the guy's was thinking "hya...hya..." as he was like hitting.
Because of how crazy some things were the plot not being super logical/consistent wasn't really too much of a detriment since it seemed like it really wasn't meant to be taken that seriously.

UPDATED: cute, but ending was rushed
UPDATE Jan 8: I think my initial concerns proved valid. There was a lot happening and the pacing wasn't spaced out to properly address everything. The ending for one couple ended up rushed, a few plot lines were not really resolved and left open ended, and the one that was actually closed felt forced with a main antagonist getting a personality/motivation flip after one conversation. Still it was cute and I did like the main couple. I just think it could have been better if it had more time. Or better used the time it had.I am glad there was no sign of the noble idiocy trope. 🙏
ORIGINAL REVIEW AFTER EPISODE 7: Let me start with what I like. I like both main characters. They're both pretty competent and their motivations make sense. I like that while one ML is deaf/nonverbal, he is not weak or bitter. And while it shows the obstacles someone might face with a hearing impairment, it also isn't really made out like we should pity him for it either. Like, it's not a sob story. He is working hard to find his niche and he knows what he wants to do. Like, it's not really portrayed as an obstacle for him. He isn't letting it interfere or prevent him from doing anything, it's just that the mindset of others that is getting in the way.
I also like that while the other ML seems like he would be the typical spoiled, rich guy we've seen more depth to him. I actually feel like he's sort of the opposite of the other ML. Zixiang had so much more opportunity and people were willing to set up him up to succeed, but he had no sense of direction or purpose. While Shaopeng didn't have the same opportunity or connections, but had a clear purpose. So, it's kind of interesting to see them together and it feels like it will be nice to watch them grow. I love it when couples basically bring out the best in each other and I feel like this couple could do that.
The second couple I don't like as much. Their first meeting/"time" was suggested to be like Kla/Techno's first "hookup" in Love by Chance (i.e. Kla SAing Techno while Techno was wasted, then basically lying the next morning and saying Techno assaulted him). Though, he hasn't confirmed it, so it might just be him lying to mess with his head. I don't know. It's a bit cat and mouse, but the mouse is too dumb at the moment to recognize he's a mouse. It has potential, but will it actually get to reach it with so little screen time left? And that leads to my biggest issue.
To sum up my biggest issue so far, it feels like we're going nowhere slowly. I'm 7 episodes in and I feel like we could have gotten through the same amount of material in 3 episodes, without even really cutting any major content.
Kind of but not really spoilers up to 7: Episode 1 could have had everything from their first meeting to hiring him as a caregiver. Episode 2 could have had him seeing it was nice to have someone take care of him, but still sneaking away and ended with him getting caught. Episode 3 could have been him sharing his back story and them starting to bond as he learns sign language to communicate with him. Meanwhile, that's basically where they are at in episode 7. And the second couple didn't even meet until episode 4.
These things would be fine if this was like 20 episodes. Or even 16 hour-long episodes. But at 13 episodes at approx. 25 minutes each, we're already more than half way through and while like half an episode was just showing one of the MLs involved in community theatre, we haven't had a confession yet from either couple. And next episode shows some random woman showing up and buzzing around Zixiang. and we already have Shaopeng's childhood friend who may or may not like him (I lean towards no, seems a bit sibling or former couple turned friends, but she is inspiring jealousy either way). And aside from the romance itself, the cousin/brother guy is still mostly unknown, there are people actively trying to kill one of the MLs (one of which seems to now be living with him), and he still has to work out his issues with his dad and he has to follow through on his promise to get other ML hired. Like, it took 2 episodes to hire Shaopeng, 2 episodes to lose him, and then 2 more to get him back and that is just as his caregiver. How is everything going to be resolved in that same amount of airtime?
I'm worried they'll like get together at the end of episode 10, have one cute episode (11) before we get the classic noble idiocy ("I'm breaking up with you for your own good") break up in 12, then everything will magically resolve in episode 13 without any real explanation. Everyone just changes their mind and decides to be a better person instead of a villain. Like in Why R U, how dad goes from threatening him to breaking up with his son and then one brief angry conversation with his son later and dad's on a video call like "psych! It's all cool. Sorry I threatened to like ruin your life or whatever. Have fun dating my son. I approve now." I just don't see how (with the time left and current pacing) they can resolve everything cleanly.
The pacing feels a little soap opera, but the length is like a mini-series. And I feel like one of those needs to change.

Excited to see where this goes
I wasn't going to write a review but I've seen some comments on various platforms (though seems like less on here) that have said some things that I think are missing some kind of crucial points. I saw a couple that basically said that Kant and Bison's relationship was too insta-love. That Kant seemed too over-the-top in love and Bison was stupid for trusting him and falling for him so quickly. But like...I don't think either of them are even really starting to be in love until like episode 4 (bonding over helping Kant's brother). They are both attracted to each other from the beginning. But Kant is faking anything more. That's the point of his job. He is honey-trapping him. So, of course he's going to seem over-the-top. But I think First does a good job of adding nuance between moments where his character is putting on an act of being in love versus actually starting to fall for him. Like in the last episode (6), his face when he saw Bison walk in the bar and the way he took his hand and looked at him while they were first talking versus him pulling the hand that was holding Bison's back to take a drink and the way his demeanor changed and he snapped back into his "madly in love" boyfriend role when Bison asked if there was anything weighing on his mind. Even the way he took/held his hand after was different (i.e. instead of his original kind of casual affection holding it between them, he went more over-the-top cliche romantic and pulled it to him, kissed it while making eye contact, sniffed it, and then held it with both hands in his space). And while I don't think Bison is faking being in love, I think that at the start he was more in love with love than he was Kant. I wish I could come up with a better example, but it's like Anna and Hans from Frozen. Anna wasn't really in love with Hans. She wanted out. She wanted freedom and companionship and love. And Hans showed up offering her all that so she jumped in feet first, even if she didn't really love him. Bison is tired of this life. He wants to form connections. He wants companionship, even just in the form of a stray cat. He wants freedom. And here comes someone claiming to be so smitten with him, he'll risk his brother's wrath to be with him. Someone who is offering to take him to all the places he dreams about going, complimenting his artistic skills, and encouraging him to fully be himself (in and out of the bedroom). And again I think Khao has done a good job of expressing moments where Bison is like clearly just enjoying the situation and the kind of fun adrenaline rush of being courted by someone attractive versus moments where he is feeling drawn towards Kant specifically.
I also like the way that Bison seemed mostly unmoved by Kant showing up to tell the guy to back off. Like he wasn't put off, but it wasn't the big gesture Kant was intending when he hired the guy to make a move. But dancing with him after? Or Style telling Bison that he'd never seen Kant fall like that before? Those definitely did more to get Bison's affection and they weren't planned. Honestly, I think even Bison talking to Kant's sort-of-ex/stalker and finding out the guy was basically following him because Kant was supportive when he was in a bad place, even though they weren't in a relationship helped Kant's mission more than some of the fake gestures he puts on. And the thing that really drew Bison to Kant the most was Kant's loyalty and affection for his brother, Babe. (Also Kant basically losing all reason and planning to just charge into the school with zero plan, probably made it hard to believe he was capable of conning anyone). So, it's interesting because basically, Kant is falling for the real Bison, while faking being in love with who Bison pretends to be. While Bison is falling for the real Kant, while being courted by who Kant is pretending to be.
Also, like people are mad at Kant, but other than not being up front with Style sooner (which he wanted to do but was told not to), I don't fully understand why. Bison is literally a hired killer and Kant was blackmailed into this (he also wasn't told, "oh, he's a killer but he only kills bad people." Kant doesn't know what these guys are being killed for, just that they're rich and dropping like flies). He didn't really know Bison when he first agreed and when he got to know him more he tried to pull out of it. And then dragged his feet and gave excuses to prolong his time with him. Because I feel like he was capable enough that he could have gotten the information sooner if he really wanted to. Like, he had their address. He knew they both typically worked at the diner at the same time. He could have just had Style watching the diner to see if either left and then broken in while they were busy. He could have bugged the dance trophy or a gift to Bison. Like, he could have wrapped this up sooner if he had really wanted to.
On to Style and Fadel. Style is an interesting character that I hope they explore more. Like him crashing the support group wasn't cool, but at the same time the way he did it I think makes his character interesting. His mom died. The little that he says about it later makes it seem like it was a really big blow to both him and his dad. But instead of sharing something real, he makes up a story about a dog. Finding out his mom died and hearing how he talked about it and thinking back on that meeting felt like a big deal. Him talking about his mom might have helped him earn sympathy from Fadel. It might have actually helped him win him over, which was his whole plan. But it would have meant sharing something real and being vulnerable. The same way some people hide their pain by making jokes, Style seems to hide his vulnerability by being shameless and acting like he doesn't take anything seriously. Fadel, I think is similar, but instead of acting out, he just is very reserved, acting like he isn't affected and doesn't really care, when he cares deeply.
I also have questions about the detective and their "mom". She seems shady. Like right off the bat, she seems like she might be using them to take out her business rivals more than actual bad people. But detective seems shady too. Like he had all those photos to show Kant in that first meeting. And he clearly had some information he didn't share already because he didn't just think they were suspects, he was acting like he knew it was them. So why did he need Kant involved if he had someone tailing them already and knew they were guilty? Did the person tailing the brothers get pictures of Kant and Bison at the bowling alley and that's why he specifically is pressuring Kant? And how did he connect them to the crimes in the first place? I feel like he knows more than he is letting on. Could be a twist if "mom" was using the cop to clean up loose ends and take them out, maybe that's also how she was getting some of the intel on the crimes the victims were accused of committing.
Honestly, I'm really liking the different facets of all the characters and how they are developing. I'm excited to see where it goes.

I have 0 sympathy for the ML.
The first three episodes were one of the wildest rides of a drama I've ever experienced. But that's all I made it through. It started as a weird but funny, then got just weird, then got creepy...and then creepier. Basically starts by saying they dated in middle school, he drops that he hasn't had an erection in two years but got one when he hugged her and wants to sleep in the bed with her to get a morning stiffy, then it flashbacks and basically he SAed her. Like, they were dating (I think in like jr. high), she felt he didn't care because he was kind of emotionless. They went to his house and she asked if he wanted to kiss her and he did, but then he pushed her down on the bed and they had sex. And she doesn't say it was r*pe or SA but she also didn't consent and describes it basically that she just didn't resist because she was so surprised and felt she didn't even understand what was happening. After he was done, he immediately got up and told her to go home. She felt small, stupid, and embarrassed and also kind of afraid of him so she avoided him after that. It is also what caused her to completely lose confidence in herself and withdraw from social life.
And he's the romantic lead apparently.
Anyway, I guess she doesn't hold a grudge as he keeps basically emotionally blackmailing her into sleeping in bed with him like his life might end because he can't get an erection. He even describes himself as a corpse. I have no sympathy for him. But she did. And then the final straw that had me stop watching is when he was lying behind her and accidentally came on her back and was just like "oops". Like nope. She didn't consent to that. And frankly, if he wasn't pulling such a dramatic "woe is me, I can't write without a boner, and if I can't write, I will lose my job and my livelihood and my life will be over and only you can help me get it up and save my life" as he dramatically sulks about lying on the floor and the stairs, she wouldn't have agreed. Like sorry you can't get it up, but that's not her fault or her responsibility. See a doctor. Get therapy. Leave her alone.
I have no doubt he will get some kind of redemption arc. But I don't care. His actions derailed her life, whether he meant them to or not. And it shouldn't take a chance encounter with the person who hurt her in the first place, to "fix" her. And I just feel like that's where this is going to go.

IMO the show does NOT match the description
I don't know yet if I will continue. I find her kind of obnoxious (and sometimes bordering on delusional in her thought process). I also don't understand how she's so incompetent? How did she get into the school if she can't even pass a middle school level test on the subject she's taking? I don't think this would annoy me as much if it seemed like she was like even trying. But she shows up late to class, doesn't pay attention, and is busy checking out the male athletes rather than studying. And if the school has such low standards, why is the male lead attending there when he is so smart? From the description I think I was just expecting something different. It sounded like it would be like a grumpy/sunshine thing where he was just really smart but cold and distant, and like he'd eventually be won over by her positive attitude and perseverance (like Lighter and Princess). But so far he seems to have a crush on her already while she doesn't like him at all, he's done more to help other people than she has, and she keeps getting so quickly discouraged even though she seems to be putting in the bare minimum of effort.
I'm not that far in, but the only person that "spreads chaos and fear" so far is her. And she doesn't "always look for the good in people" considering she assumed he was a scammer when he said she accidentally took his forms. And like she even assumed he was a pervert and started TELLING OTHER PEOPLE he was without even checking her bag to see if he was telling the truth. He helps keep her from getting caught and she accuses him of trying to get revenge. Actually, she repeatedly assumes he is trying to get revenge or out to get her for like no reason. Like he didn't try to catch her once when she fell on the bus and she has basically decided that makes him a bad person and practically acts like he's an enemy.
Also her whole reason for going to this University seems a bit ridiculous to me. TWO YEARS AGO someone wearing a #7 jersey saved her life...instead of going to the school to find him TWO YEARS AGO, she waited to attend the school and just like...assumed he couldn't possibly graduate, change schools, leave the team, or just change numbers in that time? She didn't even need to attend the school to meet him, she could have just gone to campus? And there was absolutely no reason to break into the guys' locker room/lockers at night to check their numbers. They would wear them eventually. She waited two years (for some reason), she could wait two days to actually see them wear them. And frankly, it was such a violation of their privacy. Like she even read the note on the gift that was in one of their lockers.
