You've got the whole "lakorn to go" set in this one: possessive ML, secretes behind FL actions, plotting evil female, confused characters, mentor characters.. all well rounded up in a story that has enough energy to push you across the finish line. And we all end up cheering for our OTP (darn, I cheered for them from day 1, but it took them a sweet while)
WHY I LIKED IT?
I picked this one up because it had a good idea behind the story: while trying to help her friend get out of a forced wedding, our FL ends up messing it up so had, and they are now BOTH married. The good thing is: the marriage is only the beginning of the plot.
There is dramatic moment in every episode. That said, there are times the ML is a cold-blooded and vengeful guy, but the good thing is how he melts away in duration of a single episode. There are times FL is a scheming nuts (well, actually, that is her BEST feature) and she makes mistakes that aggravate not only ML, but it's cute how she warms up to every apology.
I liked it for the two of them.
And Mr. Writer knew how to give us the "fan service". Even when they were seemingly having fights, we were joyful, because that would lead to another cute/shy/*I'm rolling on my sofa laughing* kind of reconciliation.
Hats down for FL and her ability to do makeup: from re-creating fake bruises to drag-queen-gone-wrong, she did them all.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
As a matter of fact, I didn't like the rest of the cast. :)
I didn't mind the second leads story, because it had some value to it. It's about how bad it is to lie about your baby-daddy and make a whole world of mess for everyone. Then, we get to see the actual reasoning behind this, and as we peel more layers, we get to understand everyone's action in that *backstabbing!* family.
The family itself is on a high level on insane. I can forgive the intensity of their madness. However, I didn't get the answer on what in the world happened to Pink's mom?! Where's my "who's done it" moment?! nothing? Fine.. live us in the dark.. it's not like this is the only drama that left me stumbling for answers and making up my own stories just to tie it all up.
And: it got a bit too draggy on all "let's not tell anyone about our secret mission" thing. Sure, fine, keep FL crying for a good long while (just so you know: I'd slap your face so hard for that.. you'd fall over!)
THE MUSIC
Good.
It has followed the story.
The couple theme was appropriate.
But, let us give applause the special sounds producers added in conversations, emphasizing the intensity of some looks. That was a nice touch! I approve it :)
RE-WATCH VALUE
Some parts, some funny/adorable moments - yes
The entire Mad Family Plotting scenes - heck, no!

The Cupids Series: Kamathep Online

This is the third pars in the Cupid Series, all about 8 young women and the order they've all got from their boss: to get a boyfriend within a year! Turns out to be easier said then done. Each and every girl here has a reason why they are still single, and they will have to overcome those.
In case anyone's following the chronology, it's this:
Part 1 : Kammathep Hunsa
Part 2 : Kammathep Ork Suek
Part 3 : Kammathep Online
Part 4 : Loob Kom Kammathep
Part 5 : Sorn Ruk Kammathep
Part 6 : Kammathep Sorn Kol
Part 7 : Kammathep Jum Laeng
Part 8 : Kamathep Prab Marn
This part is giving us the lecture in finding love without losing focus on what really matters. The Show is about falling in love without seeing the other side's physical presence, accepting their true selves, buck-teeth and everything.
WHY I LIKED IT?
Slow, step-by-step opening up to the world around her, seeing everything thru the eyes of someone who still harbors bad memories of being Ugly Duckling - that is the story of our FL. As we watch it unfold, we learn that some people appear distant because they fear to get close. We also learn that some appear tough because they fear being weak again. And it's all about connecting with others, to help ourselves get up and move on.
Secondary story. I liked it; i knew I would like it the first second they appeared on the screen - there's just something "not told" behind the Termite Face and Tomcat, and I was quite satisfied with what I've been shown. Layers upon layers of things untold, that made sense in the end.
Needless to say: OTP smiling at each-other. Rarely do you get the depth of romance by just focusing on couple's faces as they look upon one another. I liked how the show handled it.
Background sounds! Again: thumbs up to production team, those noises and animal sounds were delightful.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
Crazy is TOO crazy! I've been working on a deadline, under pressure, long hours in front of the screen just to see a project fail horribly; I have seen a lot of people handle loss badly, but I have never every seen such "arrrrghhhhh" coming from someone using keyboard for living. That was my first.. and I didn't like the sight.
Cindy and the entire screen-time she took. However, this could be due to my cultural disharmony, people.. but I do not find that character ether funny of helping the story line in any way. I do feel sorry for the girl, actually. Poor thing always chooses the unavailable men.
THE MUSIC
There's a main theme, playful and light. Listening to it for the duration of the series, it gets catchy.
RE-WATCH VALUE
With some serious jumps (because I don't want to see that much "crazy" again), there are some lovely parts to come back to (bare male upper bodies, anyone?). But, entirely: not really.
OVERALL
There's no R warring, no cringe-worthy scenes, no face-palming yourself. and as a bonus, you get to see ML being genuinely nice guy. Give it a go.

That said, you don't really have to follow the "order of appearance", but, for those who like to keep things chronological, this it the order:
Part 1 : Handsome Cowboy
Part 2 : Gentle Vet
Part 3 : Lovely Geologist
Part 4 : Bad-ass Baker
Part 5 : Absolute Economist
Part 6 : Foxy Pilot
Part 7 : Playful Comm-Arts
Part 8 : Extroverted Humanist
Part 9 : Single Lawyer
Part 10 : Crazy Artist
Part 11 : Badly Politics
Part 12 : Ambitious Boss
Generally, these are ALL cute stories, made to make you smile.
..as for this part:
I have taken this series without giving it much thought. I went into it as "anything goes".. oh, and it went! The Show took me to a nice adventure, with good pace, just the right amount of couple's interaction.
(but, you can read that anywhere)
Shortly: it's a tale of misunderstanding and not being ready to trust the other side; rather trusting the echoes of gossips from those around. This one teaches us, that, if people leave our lives.. we need to let other people come in our lives and stop the rain in our hearts. Also, it teaches us that love does not come in a shape & form we might expect, but more like: it's love that makes us stop caring about messy hair or over-use of disinfectant. :)
I find our OTP strangely paired-up, and yet somehow matching each-other.
The "fear of rain" as the synopsis states is not exactly that, it's more of a trigger for some unpleasant memories that usually results in uncontrollably tearing-up no matter where she is.
Also, I got to say: you GO Show, for showing us girls that attend engineering department, and are capable of taking a course on robotics. Yes, yes.. and playing football with friends, More of that, please; until it spreads all over, and people realize that is's OK to do whatever you like, no matter the "gender role".
Thumb up to this part, for showing diversity in a good light.
What I specifically noticed here is the delicate touch it gave the "third gender", introducing a character of one delightful aunt, a caring, understanding and a bit teasing person, who brought light to world of adults. These are the characters I like seeing poping up in this Show.
The Show also touches the subject of stalking.. but, literally just TOUCHES it, since we never really got to see much of it, and it remained in the cloud of mystery, ending in a quite anti-climatic way.
Also, aside from our OTP, there is another couple, quite unconventional, even for a Thai series, and without spoiling anything I'll put it in just two letters: GL. But, it's a side story, so don't expect much, ok?
Most memorable sentence:
"LOVE HAS NO GENDER".
Mind blowing.. wait, now I need to give this one a 9,00. :)

Most realistic presentation of how manga's a re made.. plus an adorable leads that take you on a wonderful and heartwarming journey - one of the reasons why I first started watching Jdrama, and why I keep coming back for more.
And, yes: I am a HUGE fan of the art!
Seeing "How it's made" was an honor.
WHY I LIKED IT?
The premise is an easy one: our FL is no longer able to compete in judo and therefore was pushed into blue collar world, yet somehow (oh, and you'll see HOW exactly, that was delightfully done!) ended up in a world of manga editors. From there, we're embarking in a journey of episodic tales of "how manga is made", and for me - that was a great ride!
I loved how Show portrayed each and every character, not leaving anyone behind, giving all the backstory, and made everyone push toward an end goal (also the title of the Show): "additional printing". Both sides are covered elaborately: the mangakas and the editors, even the sales department.
Hey, and I absolutely LOVE that they actually WORK in this Show (unlike a lot of kdrama, where ML, thought he is a chaebol working in a million dollar company spend 90% of time chasing FL, where does he get the time?!). This is a Show about WORK and work it gives us - the struggles to get the "name" (something like a "blueprint" for the following issue), the personal issues, the reasoning behind decisions that are being made to push the sales up.
You learn from this Show: about some terms you never knew, and never bothered to know - not many of the fans of manga actually care to know HOW exactly they are made - this Show gives us that. Just that.. plus, the quirkiness of Bear Cub. :)
(ehmmm, yeah, *caugh, caugh* and there's Odagiri Joe, so... yeah)
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
I'll leave this one empty.
I wouldn't give this a 10,0 unless I was purely amazed by it. And moved. And inspired to give myself another push toward doing my own job better.
THE MUSIC
The song is called "Echo", performed by Unicorn. (to me, the music in this one was Bob Dylan's "Blowing in the wind, for some reason - maybe because they do sound alike, so my mind was instantly pulled in that direction). To say that was fitting would be an understatement, since the music was a perfect portrayal of what this Show was all about.

A shining GEM!

(this said, this is my first review of a drama, and I have been postponing writing reviews for some.. errr, ten years or so)
Now, where should we start.
Does it have a story? Yes.
Do the leads have chemistry? Oh, yes.
Does it provide us with some sweetness? *let's just say: I have never seen a manlier man wearing a teddy bear hat* ..that was not a spoiler, but a way to lure you in. :)
WHY I LIKED IT?
This drama, though it may have it's flaws, gives you one great story of an amazing transformation that a human can have, once we let ourselves go, an put down the defense walls around our hearts. It's also touching a serious topic of child abuse (I, personally, would like to see more of that side of the story, but maybe in some other drama).
It's a slow burner, in the romance part, but it's a furious fire when it comes to emotions. There's a lesson in patience and trust in people, that we should all take from it.
Also, the FL is showing us how to stand strong and see the best in people, in order to help them see the best in themselves. As for ML, I'd have to say: this (more than anything) is a story of letting go of the past and letting people in. And, as scary as that may seem, we see his heart opening up, until he is the "morning sun" (watch the series and you'll understand.
I'd add the second story was also adorable, in a way: it gives the overy-sugary coating to the story, just to water it down a bit, and make a comedic break (though: we never got to know how in the world did the second lead got so head over heels for FL, since all I saw was: both of them in at the same flight back to Thailand, but.. hey, love works in mysterious ways). I'd hand it to Pen, girl can be as bright as a bee and naive as a four year old at the same time, and she played her part perfectly.
THINGS I DON'T APPROVE
(also know as "thing I did not like)
I don't stand for any sort of violence against a woman. As a woman myself, I'd say this: if this was real life, and someone waned to harm me, I'd kick, scream, bite, spit (yes: spit!) and fight for my dear life. We don't see that here, and YES I know we wouldn't have much of a lakorn if it wasn't for a little bit of aggressive behavior in male lead, but some of his actions are just pure sadistic; but if they were trying to teach us of FL amazing potential for forgiveness, then they have given us the lesson.
Less talking, more shooting (I'll try not to turn this into a spoiler). If you are literally having a cliffhanger scene, holding each other at a gun point, do you really need to make a 10 minute long melodramatic conversation. Dear, I'd shoot you just for talking that long.
The police. Yes, the police. They are too KIND. People are shooting each-other, you have at least five open murder cases, and you go about town asking suspects would they kindly admit something?!
THE MUSIC
I gave it a lower score, since there was one major theme, that would play too loud for a sensitive scene we were shown. So, mr. Director, please, tone it down, and find a softer tune, if you want us to get "the feels", please.
RE-WATCH VALUE
Errr, yes. Not everything (I don't want go go thru all the Evil Plotting and endless fillers), but some scenes were so genuinely adorable, that I'd love to see them again.
OVERALL
A good show, kept me on my toes the whole (how long was it?) 14 times 1.5 hours. I gave it an 8, because the ML deserves a 10, but overly dramatic Evil People made me feel like I'm back in the world of Telenovelas.
WATCH IT.. but brace yourselves for some extreme male harshness at the first part.

The Cupids Series: Kammathep Hunsa

*rolls up her sleeves*
Let's do this!
This is the first pars in the Cupid Series, all about 8 young women and the order they've all got from their boss: to get a boyfriend within a year! Turns out to be easier said then done. Each and every girl here has a reason why they are still single, and they will have to overcome those.

Part 2 : Kammathep Ork Suek
Part 3 : Kammathep Online
Part 4 : Loob Kom Kammathep
Part 5 : Sorn Ruk Kammathep
Part 6 : Kammathep Sorn Kol
Part 7 : Kammathep Jum Laeng
Part 8 : Kamathep Prab Marn
Part one follows the trials and tribulations of a woman that gets her words wrong, gives her men bad luck and messes up at lot. However, behind all that she's got good intentions, absolute forgiveness and huge & warm heart, warm enough to play a crucial part in becoming one man's conscience. And more than that.
WHY I LIKED IT?
The chemistry between our OTP can not be denied. There was no aggression (yelling and finger-pointing don't count as aggression, if you've seen more lakorn than this, you'll know). The skinship, the hugs, the awkward moments of bumping onto one another: all there, all nicely done. Some parts of the Show are specifically made to put you in a "fangirl" mode and to play the key role of Fan Service. It's fine, not all dramas have to so darn dramatic. S
The sounds! MY, my.. behind every good series are the sounds. I absolutely loved how the production team added the lion's roar behind those "I'd slap you on the face right now" looks. It also exaggerated the blinking, just at the right moment. Thumbs up for doing a great work. That's how you do comedy.
The idea of two halves of the heart striding to one another, and not being apart even when tossed into a trash can, it's a lovely thing to see. A tiny bit of magic, Cupid's way, I'd say. :)
Oh, one more thing: you will get a "say what?!" moment. Even if you had your doubts, the Show will manage to twist itself into a pretzel at the finale. Made sense, but I won't spoil it.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
Pardon me for NOT being a sucker when it comes for anyone pulling the Noble Idiocy act on the viewers! I have yet seen a situation where "silent retreat" from your soulmate with no real obstacle is good for any of you (any of us!). *slams hand on the table*
(it's about police, again; most of my complaints are about them, eh?) Dear police, if you're sitting on a stake-out and waiting a criminal to be caught red-handed; can you PLEASE try to jump in before there are three shots fired? all your suspects went in the same direction, mind following them?!
THE MUSIC
There's a main theme, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. I liked it (sorry, can't really remember the exact tune, so I'll just say it wasn't a problem).
RE-WATCH VALUE
There is a high possibility of forgetting this nice little Show. I'd say: YES, sure.
OVERALL
It's like a light breeze or a lemonade.. to sooth you and give you the mellow after-taste. A solid 8.00.

This is a movie made to give you your own best at every minute of watch time. If you have read the comments below, you noticed the word "tear-jerker", and: it's not, not really. What this movie is all about is what people we allow to come into our lives and enrich us as a human being. It's not sad, it's warm. It's not a romance, it's connection. It's not about photography, it's about the journey. And it's not for hopeless romantics, but for hopeless overall - it's a little beacon of light, that shows you the path (as it did to both Makoto and Shizuru).
And, then, there's the KISS.
One.
Because it's not about the kiss. It's about "see you in another place"
WHY I LIKED IT?
Firstly: I love photography. That was, I admit, the reason I saw it for the first time, ages ago (I think it was back in 2009?). I struck me like a lightning. i did not expect that, those feelings the main actors so vividly shown. Many years later, I saw it again, almost forgotten all about it (but the ending, of course) and it gave me the opportunity to see a whole other aspect of it's magnificence. As an adult, I ventured into the "no trespassing" zone with our heroes and got much more than a simple story of a boy and a girl, and why she left. I saw the subtle details, the looks on the faces in the pictures she took, the illumination of life's joy she managed to capture, and the reason she did all that.. as a safe keep, as a way to say "I love you" to every person seeing the pictures at the exhibition.
I liked the pacing, the lack of events. I liked the empty pedestrian crossing and the joy it gave them. I like the beautiful scenery, and the loving friends. I like how the mood changes when they enter in a world of their own in the dark room.
I liked the "peter pan" idea, and the biscuits, and the fact that no one was holding a phone or a tablet... and THAT wall at the exhibition - and, that you will have to see to understand what wall I'm writing about. Yes, the one with black and white photographs.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
The fact that I've seen it. Don't get me wrong: I absolutely LOVED it, that's why I would love to erase it, and gain the chance to watch it all over again.
RE-WATCH VALUE
Well, ladies and gents, I have re-watched this almost ten years later, and it's value only GROWN in that time. Just because the date of the movie might not be in this decade, does not mean you should skip it. So, set your search filter a bit more on the left, and take a look at some "older" gems.. like this one. Than, let some time pass, let yourself grow more, and take a look at it again. Like me, you just might notice there's a whole other layer there.
OVERALL
I didn't cry.
I was left with the lungs full of purple. (can't explain, my emotions have colors). It's not sad, it's going to make you step back and want to embrace yourself saying "It's all right".
And it is. All right.

Part six of U-prince series lifts us up in the air.
To those who wrote synopsis: have you watched the Show? because I have.. and it doesn't really match what you wrote. So, to those thinking about watching, let me tell you: it's about an insecure movie star who has been faking smiles for so long it became a reflex; and about a person who's stuck-up and hard to open up to others.
Put those two people together, sit back and enjoy the Show.
They are cute together, and they also learn from one another. One learns how to smile, the other how not to. The moral of the story is: it's OK not being OK, because we're our own people, and we're not here merely for public's entertainment. That's the message of this part.
Delivered in a cute way, letting us see how a FL can be the one perusing.
Then, add a dash of misunderstanding, dumbest possible way of testing weather or not you're feeling something for someone, some publicity issues with a screaming agent, anti-fans (hey, if they boost your rating, why not?), couple of great friends. Oh, and.. and airplanes. Why not? It was a nice mix. Kind of..
Hm.
Let me try to explain the feeling of this part. Let's say we're making a cake. But, we're entertaining children, so we let them decide some of the ingredients and do the decoration. But, as adults, we've made the main batter so that we know that the foundation of our cake is good.
Same with this Show: at one moment I really thought there must have been a wild party, with everybody pitching in some ideas onto a solid base. That turned into a show.
Guess what: that cake actually tasted sweet. :)
It was refreshing and didn't even mind being shown a fairy-tale.
As for the phrase, I'd say it's this one:
"I think, even though you may be hated by many people; at least you would know who sincerely loves you"
Preach! :)

Telling a story of extrovert courting an introvert is difficult, if you're trying to convey it to an ambitious audience who know both sides of human spectrum. In no way should you take this Show as some kind of a deep social study of true human opposites, since it's not. Accept it more as a loosely based on an idea of someone being an introvert.
(written by fingertips of a real life Introvert, who's being friends with an extrovert - for some weird reason)
I have read some of the comments stating that ML is "too much" of an extrovert. In his defense: believe me folks, he's NOT. I have seen worse cases. Then again, I do live in a part of the world where asking questions is just a normal thing, and things like "minding your own business" don't really apply. Most people over here ARE open, they invite themselves over, they shout, publicly show their affection (and lack of it), all the shenanigans. Therefore, believe me when I say: our dear ML is NOT too much.
It's you.
You're being up-tight. :)
Other side of the spectrum is one shy new girl. I chose to call her "shy" since being an introvert is a little bit more than just occasionally listening to music away from people. Surely, the start of the Show was on-spot,. but then it watered down. But, let's suppose it' due to FL opening up to new experiences.
What truly moves this Show are the Evil People and Friends. Without the first, the audience would not have all the adventure in front of them. Without the other, there wouldn't have been a way to untie the knot (watch it and you'll see where's the knot!).
OTP is lovely.
But,m honestly, like I just said, what makes this show are all the people (good and bad) that surround them. And, nothing beats the moment your brother decides he had enough of games, and puts his hand on the table: feathers will fly (not literally, but sit got really close to that with some people.. but, more on "those people" in another Show)
I will not leave the favorite motivational sentence from this one, but one simple vision of one scene.
Imagine saying to your love interest's parent (loudly) that you are going after their child, followed by realization of such statement, and then making it even better by using words "SHIT! I messed up!" :)

The way they jump! "jump around. jump around... jump up, jump up, and get down!"
To start this off, I have a question: how come no one has reviewed this YET?!(because it's old C-production, over-the-top acting Hong Kong lame movie)
I LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT.
Firstly, I have to admit: I have first seen it when it came out (being that old and all) :)
Secondly, my review is heavily influenced by my personal preference in horror-comedy and all thing weird,
Thirdly, it's the fact that this is sorta film you better watch with a buddy - to enhance the giggle factor.
Lastly, if you can: watch with Cantonese audio and not the dubbed versions.
WHERE, you ask: It's been on YouTube for the past 10+ years.
We found it funny. Not only the first time we saw it.
We came back to watch it again.. and as time passes, we come back for it as it provides the type of joy we need: IT'S A SILLY master & disciples (Nightwish, anyone?) vampire fighting story with a lot of hissing. (no, not KISSING, hissing)
What is this about, as the opening screen on flm itself will tell you:
"In 17th century rural China during Ching Dynasty, Zombies roamed the land feeding on human flesh, a nasty habit that turned them into vampires. Only a handful of skilled warriors dared to challenge these mythical demons of the night. this is their story"
(no spoilers: but there's ROMANCE and the second couple is hilarious)
To put it as simply as possible: there's a New Bride in red, there's melting vax (you've been warned), there's kung fu, there's quirky humor, there's eye-sucking demon power (you've been warned), there's bad blood between family members and a great brotherhood.
It feels old-school cool, like those old time kung-fu master kind of films (which makes sense).
What I liked (despite being BIASED) is the fact that the story is balanced in a perfect way: sure, there's gore and horror, with lot of night scenes, but it's mixed in with some wonderful shots of daylight (coming through the slightly opened door thus illuminating the viewers screen only partially, leaving the image light & dark in a diagonal cut - we liked that detail!). What we also liked it is the mystery enhanced by fog , giving a possible shapes to things that moat possibly aren't there (as viewers we just expected something to jump out of.. anything, and it felt thrilling). and the fight scenes are choreographed PERFECTLY. They dance on screen, I tell you.
Biased as I am (hence writing this review) I can't say that I dislike anything.
I prefer old school film, with less CGI and dance-like combat, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.
If nothing: watch it for the fight with Final Boss
...and maybe for the fact that not all zombies run for you: some HOP AROUND.

I know most of drama-people voted this one to be the "most feels" of the entire U-prince series. Without doubt, it's true to the core.
The story is quite simple.
That leaves a lot of space to work on our characters. That said, I don't think that, after watching the Show, anyone can say they could imagine our OTP to be played by any other actors. They fit the roles amazingly. One being so loosen up and free; the other being more interesting in a scientific factor of everything around us.
It's all because of one SHIRT.
But, not any shirt: the Beatles shirt! with words "let it be" on the back.
And, that is the core of our story. Learning the magical effect of being able to "let it be".
After being so majestically DUMPED by a looooooong time boyfriend, I say our FL was doing great, actually. Besides, there was this odd looking, guitar carrying fella following her, quoting excepts from her brother's books!? I'd say she handled herself brilliantly there. If it was me, I'd be choking the boyfriend to his slow death and probably running away from ML screaming my lungs out.
Fortunately, there was that one shirt.
Another point here: love does not know TIME. Some love stories grow slowly, some sneak up on you without you realizing, and some (like this one) just explode in your face..and you wake up not being able to understand how come there was ever a time you were not in love.
Oh, and there is that one thing I don't like: darn ex-es changing their minds! Sorry, what SANE person would take you back after you brutally shattered their self worth?! Go, hide in a dark corner!
At the end: chose your friends wisely, because if you end up hospitalized, it's important to know that they'll be there for you, because they believe the worst thing would be:
"..waking up and not seeing anyone"
Watch it for..
Watch it for the sake of dry bananas!

That said, you don't really have to follow the "order of appearance", but, for those who like to keep things chronological, this it the order:
Part 1 : Handsome Cowboy
Part 2 : Gentle Vet
Part 3 : Lovely Geologist
Part 4 : Bad-ass Baker
Part 5 : Absolute Economist
Part 6 : Foxy Pilot
Part 7 : Playful Comm-Arts
Part 8 : Extroverted Humanist
Part 9 : Single Lawyer
Part 10 : Crazy Artist
Part 11 : Badly Politics
Part 12 : Ambitious Boss
Generally, these are ALL cute stories, made to make you smile.
What started as a premise in the previous part, moves on forward, with all the bumps and lumps along the way; as we witness part of the series where everybody's got some scheme. I liked it, it wasn't linear.
It's the synopsis again, it got me confused. Yet, seeing another attempts at writing synopsis, I got even more confused about: why in the world would anyone accept to give their own time and effort in teaching Previous Shows's villain to become a overall better person?!
That's the beauty of this Show.
Of all the shows, this one has most road-signs for us to see, and secrets for us to reveal. It even has the elements of classical lakorn, folks! (hey, but it's toned down and wrapped in cuddly little sets of scenes that would be great for someone who's here for the a first time lakorn watcher, to make baby-steps, to test the waters and see a minuscule part of what a lakorn is)
This is not a lakorn. For sure.
This is something called "innocent co-habitation", then add a bit of playing a game of: who's more ashamed. We get to see our OTP in some genuinely hilarious situations, and it makes this Show stand out. The leads have amazing chemistry, the clash of their personalities is well presented, the romance was one that is growing slowly as out OTP learns that neither side is flawless.
Plus, I already sad: FL was a meanie back in previous part. She doesn't change over-night. It's a process, and during that process, the one trying to do the change is also changing. That's the charm of love, right?
OK, just to mention one thing: no one should get to this extent just to prevent your parents and/or friends from finding out your secret. No matter what, I'd always chose to FIGHT than to hide & lie. Haven't they learned it by now: secrets never (ever!) stay hidden.
Secrets never stay hidden, and time always moves on:
"I used to believe that, if I could fix clocks, I could fix the time that has passed"
Give this one a GO, because it will warm your heart.

The third part on the list (if you're taking the List) and this Show is all about not being ashamed to walk right out of bed and brave the world in your pajamas. No, no.. but, you will get to see an array of fluffy outfits, worn by our dear ML. Most will watch this one for the ML. Since, he's the childish, naive, faithful and bright.
FL is real.
I have read comments about her, and some of her decisions, regarding her boyfriend (the one that "treats her badly", as synopsis states). To those, I have to answer: she is being real. Those struggles are REAL. Real people do that, real girls do think about "turning a blind eye" in more than one situation, because they are afraid of being alone, they think of being ridiculed & losing social status, and they consider what might be lost if they just leave.
Leaving is never easy.
Being left is also hard.
This part of the U-prince Series is about being left and leaving. More than "cuteness overdose" (and, mind me, on a moody, rainy, foggy and cold winter's day, one can appreciate the cute little 4 hour show just as much as hot cocoa!) Still, when you get to your senses, you will dig deeper and see some effects of early childhood abandonment trauma. You will also see that material items can never be the thread connecting the people.
It's people that we need, to make new memories with, even though they may not understand every single dinosaur sub-species. :)
The story is nice and linear, with some fragments of past that help us understand why in the world would we see our ML meeting our FL by hanging from her front gate?! Having a cameo of Gentle Vet is also a nice touch, to tie things up.
Oh, and: can my late teen self, please have a mom like that? Seriously, people.. that level of compassion and understanding; lady, you are an angel.. and should have more kids. :)
By the way, did you know what a fossil is:
"Fossil means the preserver remains of an organism" ..watch the Show if you want to know why is this the most memorable sentence to me.

For that alone, this deserves a place on your watch-list. :)
Besides that, there is a nice pace and an abundance of characters, each with their own traits (yes, fine.. there are insanely malicious villains, but they only help build up the story).. because, just like FL lead said: "I can't forgive you, if you don't forgive yourself"
WHY I LIKED IT?
I like so many things in this one. Mainly, because it's light and fluffy.
The fluffy-ness of it is perfect for those days you just can't be bothered with your day-to-day tedious tasks and stressful real-life situations. That said, the sweetness MAY cause you to pause the Show a few times in an episode, just to give yourself a reality check, because it MAY be a little to strong.
If you're anything like me, you'll catch yourself laughing at some of their "ouch" moments. And, let me tell you, when the heroes come to those "ouch" moments, they have already dug themselves deep in the funny situation, they can't just jump out, and we get to see them as uncomfortable as.. cute.
Two thumbs up to our ML. Persistence in that man.. without spoiling it, I'll say: if I was an employer and had a seasonal worker that can mess up every single task, get herself in more than one messy situation a day, and made me stop all my work countless times a day just to help her.. she'd be sacked the same day. No remorse. No more chances. Sacked, goodbye. BUT, our ML is better than me (luckily, right?) and I applaud his gentle nature.
Skinskip. If you're familiar just with Korean drama, you'll notice most comments being about how many actual touches has there been between the leads. Here's a LOT; but don't expect more. Because this is a fluffy, cute, naive love story (with a lot of shooting, at night, in the forest.. but hey..)
I loved the scenery.
I watched more then one series FOR the scenery. And this Show did not disappoint me.
And, another thing: nature preservation?! AMAZING topic, and I loved every single little thing they did. Illegal forestry is a serious topic, and I'm glad the Show gave a strong point against it.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
Not many things, actually.
This Show is "all feels", and if we take is as such, it'll give us a nice ride. Predictable? YES. I was sitting, watching and thinking "but, why hasn't there been a kidnapping, yet?", and Show gave me just that. And, that clumsiness is borderline insane, as I've mentioned earlier. To the FL: girl, you've BURNED a place! You should get sacked. You're lucky our ML is also insanely forgiving.
THE MUSIC
Nice scores, good transitions. Some serious tunes for the dreadful scenes. I say: it was well placed and has helped the Show flow smoothly. Main theme is delightful.
RE-WATCH VALUE
Sure. Why not? There is PLENTY of adorable scenes (and, I'll let you know: those I found to be most precious do not belong to your Main Couple) :)
OVERALL
That said, I just let everything go, and enjoyed the cuteness of it all: drunk-party-going mom, birth secrets, pistol-pointing villains, nosy reporters, majestically forgiving bosses, heck, I liked them all.
Even the police.

WHY I LIKED IT?
After meticulously cleaning Hiramasa's house, Mikuri procedes to cleaning up his life. Just like a perfect professional: cleaning even the sun netting on the windows, making everything spotless, she's moved on to doing some emotional cleaning, persistently pushing his boundaries of low self-esteem. I like the way the Show shows progression of our OTP, where there is no sudden change & where every thought is presented (hers especially, like a reality TV, political speak, close-up interview, or a mini-me version of Mikuri jumping up and down on a table top..).
I like how side characters don't cash with OTP, but they build up their story. Without them, their prying, their misunderstanding and being nosy, OTP would probably never mover forward. Without the meal-a-day Instagram feed, they wouldn't start speaking to each other, without a ticket none of them asked for, they wouldn't find out how much they already know one another. Rarely are the side characters so crucial to Shows dynamic.
Oh, and the OTP! The cast was picked perfectly - no wonder they received an award for BEST show. You can realte to both of them, especially Hiramasa, and I know some folks out there pick the show according to actor's atractive looks; but THIS show is all but the looks! An overly attractive leads would draw to much attention away from the tender touches the Director placed in their relatioship and interactions. Actually, to me -they are CUTE.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
Generally, when I decide to give something a 10, that implies there's NOTHING to dislike. No cringing, no slow pacing, no excessive drama, no post-show trauma.. only the vague thought of "I wish this ride doesn't stop" as it approached the end and we realize that, after episode 11 we'll have to get back to our regular lives.
THE MUSIC
There's a main theme, and then there's a DANCE at the end of every episode, performed by the cast. I dare you not to dance along. It's catchy, not complicated and bright (dang, like the whole show!) The sounds in this Show are done pretty well, following the scene perfectly. That said, I must admit: I'm a sap for jdrama's music scores! :)
RE-WATCH VALUE
Abso-freaking-lutely! Imagine yourself feeling a low, doubting the light in life - I tell you this: just one scene from this drama will produce so much warmth inside your chest because it's a little guiding light of joy. So: YES. This one is entirely re-watchable. I'd skip nothing!
OVERALL
Love Tuesday (watch to know why!).. and recycle. :D
