Neither right nor wrong!!!
Neither bullying was right nor revenge was wrong.
●HOW I CAME TO IT
I have been watching movies based on true events and so My Little Baby Jaya was on the PTW.
●STORY
The synopsis says it all… I have nothing to add in case it might be a spoiler
●PLOT VIEW
This movie makes one's blood boil to the depth that I would have gone ahead and killed those bastards. What, am I too immersed in the movie?? YES I am, it feels more horrible to know that it's based on a true story.
This movie shows that there is no justice and both the leads are treated like suspects when they are victims. The police don't take any investigation even though they find some clue. The parents try to cover up the crime with power and money. Teachers and schools do nothing a be mute spectators to the crimes of bullying. so what can a disabled common man do you can clearly see in the movie.
The end is satisfying. The movie is built with the base for more than half the time where we sympathize with Jaya and for the last 20minutes we see the father's revenge plot. I can only think in his shoes that he tried his best and then went on a rampage as nobody took him seriously because of his intellectual disability.
●ACTING/CAST
Kim Jung-Kyoon as Won-Sool just terrific. No words could explain the enormous efforts he might have put in depicting cerebral palsy. His actions and voices were perfect, definitely an award-winning performance
Oh Ye Sul as Jaya was amazing. Each of her pain just pierced through the heart. Some people said Jaya was weak, no she wasn’t she was a strong girl who loved her father and treated him as a normal dad. she just couldn’t take any more pain. Ye Sul performed the role very bravely.
●MUSIC
The music in this movie is subtle goes well with each scene and there are more screams of pain. It creates empathy in the hearts and excavates the deepest emotions.
●APPRECIATION
The father-daughter unconditional and wholehearted loving bond.
The smallest details were built smoothly from a small lie, jealousy, bullying, assault, rape, suicide, suffering, and revenge.
I can't even tell the difference that how much the actors played or its special effects, whatever it is, this brutal portrayal is very hard to watch. Each of the brutal acts was painful and blood-curdling. South Korea is surprisingly amazing in making such eccentric movies based on crimes.
●RECOMMENDATION
This movie is for those who want a harsh truth about society. It leaves a deep impression on the mind and soul. I would definitely recommend this.
●AFTERTHOUGHT
The thing wrong I feel is the society we are raised in, the law still let's go off the minors with just a few years of punishment in most of the countries, they aren't afraid to commit crimes as they are minor. These shitheads are the worst kind of genes society raises who feel no remorse or guilt for the crimes they do. They feel like a proud winner who had a bright future ahead waiting for them. They are High school kids but their behavior is more than animals. Even the parents of the perpetrators are the worst kinds, they support their animal kids to brush off their crimes with power and money.
And it's high time the laws are amended and punishments should be harsher.
●QUOTE
It's not from the movie but it is very apt here. I came across this quote during a rape victim protest.
If they are old enough to commit such heinous crimes they should be punished with adult punishment.
They are not 10years old, they about to be out in society and attend universities so it doesn’t matter if they are juvenile. It sends a wrong message to their friends and society. The leniency shown to the minors for the adult crimes doesn't help in eliminating the crime, if this gets amended there surely be a lot of change and minimize crime.
Is this about bad parenting, NO? These types of teens are wicked and obnoxious who are there to just make society an unsafe place. The parents are one of the reasons who show their money and power, but only perpetrators are responsible for the crimes.
