Don Spike's meat pie!

gosh i really admire the effort that Don Spike did to perfect his dish. he literally taste-tested it with 100 people. seems like he's a generous person too, and because of him, i know someone like Chef Austin Kang exists LOL! Yeong Ja's dish looks sensational too, and i really want to try making something like it. it's like gnocchi isn't it? ahh i have never made it and it's truly creative. Na Young's mom-kids double jajangmyeon looks incredible too. i hope these women eventually get to launch their own dish soon :)

Lee Gyung Gyu so funny HAHAHA!

i didn't expect to be so entertained by Lee Gyung Gyu's slapstick comedy during his trip to Vietnam LOL. he's really a funny 60 y/o though i read articles that say he's a serious, temperamental one IRL lmao. but his overseas trips have been adding so much variety and colour to this show, gosh i absolutely love them. i wonder how the content of show changed after COVID-19 hits, because that meant he can't travel overseas anymore.

Ma Jiang Mian!

ouh that Ma Jiang Mian looks good, i may be able to do that at home. we have tahini (sesame seeds paste) and the Taiwanese restaurant uses 100% of it instead of a mixture with peanut sauce. i am not a huge noodle person though, i tend to slurp them fast and result in indigestion. but i really wanna try that one because the ingredients are cheap. also Jung Il Woo's mala dumplings look so good but they can be pretty expensive i guess. i actually thought Lee Young Ja's bite-sized spicy fried rice would have been a huge contender in the finale if she got the flavours right.

Lee Yeong Ja so lovely!

i really loved and fell in love with Lee Yeong Ja's personality right away LOL. she's so likeable and sweet towards others. the fact that she found comfort in spicy foods through tough times in her career (failing 8 times) before becoming a successful comedian which later on developed her extensive palette to be Korea's Mukbang Queen, i adored that. she really pushed through and didn't give up.

Queen Lee Yoo Ri turns Lee Cook is back!!!

Haha. I'm so glad Lee Yoo Ri returned to the show after her drama completed on this show 1st year anniversary special: ramen. I didn't know she never had a breakthrough dish for the convenience store meals, but she's definitely a winning candidate LOL. Her antics are so entertaining and now both her and Ryu Su Young are in the show together auwhh my Father is Strange hearteu~ XD Hope she eventually finds her winning dish, fighting unnie! ❤❤❤

scared the hell out of me!

honestly i am shocked at how much story they fitted in this one single episode.all along when i was watching this episode i was extremely scared for her. not sure if she's taking calculated risks, because for a moment she seemed like she was losing her mind, picking up her son from the school and driving her car speedily away with her son in it, full amok mode on a restricted driving path with dangerous cliffs (nearly got into a major car accident, could have died on the spot) and was looking totally onto a path of self-destruction. thank God nothing bad happened!!!she was assaulted by her husband because she insinuated that she killed their son which became the sealing ground for unconsented divorce, but i was madly scared that in that snap moment he could have killed her accidentally (again, she could have died). and that her son will have to live as an orphan and a son of a murderer.imagine if this has happened!!! i really have a hard time basking my head into the complete insanity that these characters were doing. sighhhh.

that cliffhanger's ensuing chaos, HAHAHA!

LOL that ending scene was so fckin ridiculous it's actually funny!!when In Sang's parents proposed to secure a good job for Seo Bom's elder sister and give that family some luxuries, in exchange of them agreeing to move into the countryside and laying low instead of making it known to people around them that they are in-laws to the owner/CEO of Hansung, one of Korea's top law firms.Seo Bom's parents quickly felt insulted by that, and In Sang kindly intercepted and apologized on the behalf of his parents. he said he's sorry and embarrassed by them, which made his father go crazy angry and want to smack him in front of everyone LOL. and then Seo Bom's father stopped him, and the male staffs also joined to break them. the chaos HAHAHA.i think i have a better understanding now of what makes a black comedy tick, just from that scene LOL. it's about making viewers laugh at situations that can be seen as ridiculous or maybe even grim, even if the persons who are behaving that way do not think that.in this way, In Sang's parents especially the father is so hell-bent on being cultured, high class or sticking to formalities and good protocol and thinking that they are being sensible with what they are offering to the in-law's family (principles of negotiation and give & take). but he lost his mannerisms by wanting to beat up his son in front of everyone LOL!so here the director is making us think, "are In Sang's parents truly as cultured as they think they are?", AND "are they really being sensible by asking the in-laws to move into a quiet countryside when offering to help the elder daughter to secure a job?">>>this drama will be so interesting because it tries to pick apart the taboos of social classes in a clever way, also tries to elucidate the complexity of marriage in societies or cultures where parents usually intervene in the married couple's lives (in this case the subject used is even more magnified because they are an underage couple who hasn't earned their keep yet, LOL).p/s i am really liking In Sang here, he's empathic and considerate towards others. and my fave actor plays a grumpy, rebellious high school kid so well i'm so proud of him HAHAHA.p/ss the fact that this drama has 30 episodes, yasss! a lot of conflicts need to be resolved properly, so i am gonna enjoy the journey as much as i can uwuuu~
