I'm 16 episodes in, and hands down this is one of my favorite dramas of 2020 so far, and I've watched at least 40 of them. I rarely watch historical dramas, but I like the actors playing the FL and ML, having seen them recently in other dramas, so I thought I'd give this a chance - SO SO glad I did. It starts out in modern day, but quickly moves to the past with the same characters. Funny, fresh storyline, genuine chemistry between the leads... it has everything I enjoy about rom-coms but in a different setting than I'm used to. I think I also like it because you know the FL is using 21st century thinking in a very past time, but human nature is what it is no matter what period of history you're in. Seriously, all of the 9-10 ratings aren't lying - this drama IS what a lot of us who have felt 2020 has been kind of a dud in drama scripts so far have been waiting for! Well worth the time, give it 2-3 episodes, but pretty sure you'll be hooked by the first! Side note as I haven't seen anyone mention it: I really love the side scenes FL has in the tea shop with the 3 writers..SO funny how they're "helping" her work through her script but with their own ideas and commentary on the plot. Meta and funny at the same time. :-)
