WHAT THE HECK!!! THIS IS PERFECT!!!
Look, this drama was basically everything i like all in one package, in other words, it left me in a emotional mess when it ended. I started watching it on a whim and IT WAS PERFECT! I can't stress how good everyone's acting was, pls the two leads deserve awards for this or ima throw hands. The osts were SO beautiful, i downloaded many of them nd been listening on repeat, it really blended well with the scenes, making them super full of suspense nd excitement. Episode 7 felt like almost last episode material in how hyped it was nd from episode 7 onwards, i had no idea how but it kept getting better and better and the last episode was the pinnacle of perfection. This drama was confusing, exciting, thrilling, sad and heartwarming all at the same time. I kept on guessing coz everyone looked suspicious nd then each reveal, till the very last episode had me screaming 'omggg thats itttt holy shittt'. AND the relationship between the leads was just so adorable ;-; im weak to this kinda relationships, i love them so much. This drama showed how small, seemingly insignificant mistakes nd error in judgement can have devastating consequences and attempts at hiding it can pile up nd go on to ruin ur life nd also that of those around u. Throughout the 16 episodes i felt like i had also become one of the manyang residents nd im missing them like crazy now TT gotta rewatch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Hnn what even was that TT. Its based on the epic Chinese classic, Romance of the three kingdoms so if u have read it, u know what to expect. 95 episodes weren't enough to contain all the contents so some characters and events got cut off which is honestly a pity coz I could watch 90 more episodes easily given how good it was. Knowing that these people actually existed and is based on actual history makes it both extremely exciting and enjoyable and also depressing. How I wish some of the characters could know how their lives and ambitions went down in history and how much they are admired, respected and loved even after 1800 years for their loyalty and all the struggles they went through. Can't believe it was made 11 years ago coz it's very well done. No extra drama or romantic bs here, which is just what I like. If u are looking for good guys going up against bad guys or pretty casts being pretty and can't digest, appreciate or get hyped about pure complicated politics, war and grey morality then go away coz it ain't for u. The praises didn't lie, this is a masterpiece
I can't believe how good it was...the characters stayed with me. I can't forget them even if i wanted to. The expressions, dialogues, stories everything was so deep and impactful that i got overwhelmed multiple times throughout the show. The characters were so complex nd each driven by such strong motivations that it was beautiful. I'll particularly mention the brilliant antagonists. NiF is great at making u feel varied ranges of emotions for all the characters including the 'villains'. If u are a fan of historical settings, brotherhood, complex plot involving revenge and court politics which will keep u at the edge of ur seat, minimal romance but amazing relationship between the characters, then this is a MUST watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Felt like a dream
I opened an account on mydramalist just so I could write sth about this underwatched series. There were some minor issues in some details which I'll overlook coz those are negligible compared to everything else this series offered. I decided to give it a go after seeing an fmv and reading the plot and I'm glad i did. Idk about others but this one definitely made me appreciate chinese opera and their traditions more. The dialogues kept resonating with me for a long time even after it all ended, the production, aesthetics, visuals and osts were beautiful, the characters were unique, the story and overall environment it projected was amazing and left me in a trance. Rewatch value is high since went back to watch it right after I finished it once and kept watching random clips for the next few weeks . Honestly can't believe how more people won't talk about such a nice series. Fans of aesthetically pleasing period dramas, do give it a try.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
