Made my heart ACHE so bad.
I don't write reviews but for this one, I just HAVE to praise this. Please, please if you don't have anything you're watching right now, watch this. It won't disappoint, I swear.
This drama is a solid 10/10 and a perfect mix of a well-written plot with morally grey characters and a beautiful soundtrack. What I loved most about this drama is the morally challenging storyline which may be a personal bias of mine as I love dramas like this which show both sides of a coin and doesn't simply paint the characters as black and white. A lot of social issues and thought-provoking ideas was also brought up which I LOVED as it engages the audience into certain moral dilemmas.
When I first watched this drama, I thought it would be a simple comedy of a mother (the queen) trying to keep her trouble-making sons at bay (something like Wakiki). Here I am now, absolutely SOBBING at the end of almost every episode towards the end. It's been so long since I genuinely felt void and botomlessly empty after watching a k-drama. I'll be struggling to find another drama as good as this to get rid of the ache of it ending.
The ending was perfect as well. It was well executed and satisfying. Not the type of rushed endings we eventually learn to get used to. This drama had the perfect balance of timing each episode and believe me when I say SO MUCH EFFORT was put into this drama. You could tell this even just from the editing itself. It was especially funny when they'd randomly edit some scenes similar to how k-idols are presented in their variety show.
Overall, this drama was very touching. It had the perfect balance of tears and laughs. Almost everyone who watches this is bound to get attached to it. It's that good. I'm just at a loss of critical words so I'm probably just yapping right now but please, watch it, i swear you won't regret.

Realistic, Touching (Almost personal), Relatable, PERFECT.
I couldn't understand the hype when this was the most popular show at the time. I only watched a few minutes of the first episode and was so confused that I didn't continue it. But now that I have, one word comes to mind: WOW.I love everything about this drama. The pacing was perfect—not too fast to feel rushed, but also not too slow to bore you. The soundtrack was also perfect and blended so well into the scene. The theme song, "We all lie," was really perfect for this drama. So many scenes resonated with the song, and it's so pleasing to listen to that it really gets you in the feels.
What made this drama so perfect for me was how it showcased the education system and how accurately it presented academic pressure on students, especially from parents. As the eldest daughter in an Asian household, I can confirm it really is like this and that it's so normalized and common. It shows the extent parents go to ensure their child lives a "successful" life; what more from those of high privilege?
I came in here expecting my blood to boil each episode, as I did with Penthouse (as I was told they were similar, ps. they're not) but regarding how realistic it was, I could only be in awe. The development of the families, both individually and as a group, was very interesting to watch. The comedy laced in this drama was also so natural and so refreshing (in short, not corny), I looked forward to it every episode.
I'm so happy with how the story concluded as well. The events that occurred in the final episode were the culmination of the previous episodes, so it didn't feel rushed at all. It didn't feel much like a drama, it felt like viewing the personal lives of these people and I commend the writers and staff behind this show for creating such wonderful craft that can resonate with most audiences. Kudos.

Not much plot but still fun to watch
Since this movie has been really popular I also came here with high expectations but in a way that I'd enjoy the film. The story isn't that deep, rather it focused on the interactions and chemistry between the main characters, which was what kept me amused throughout the whole movie tbh. The zombies were like a subplot. It wasn't mentioned how they started or how they're planning to end it, it just happened and it's there. We get a realistic viewpoint of a survivor in the middle of a zombie crisis. How he loses and finds hope throughout the seemingly hopeless scene and basically a POV of how it would be to be put in that disaster. For that, I didn't really find it boring since I think I would've reacted in a similar way. Overall, it was pretty simple and still fun to watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Youth
I am so in love with this drama. Not only because of the well-written storyline and chemistry between the actors but most especially with the PACING. The story isn't dragged out or too quick, it feels just right. Just right for you to understand the premises of the fantasy aspect of the story, immerse yourself in it, resonate with the characters and to be able to feel the drama as a whole. Each episode leaves you with your heart full. I've found myself attached to this drama that I don't see any flaws at all.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
