Lusi again executed the wonderful character
If you are looking for her typical romance drama, this only has about 10% of love scene in it. That’s why the low rate reviews are mostly disappointed reviews due to luck of romance.This drama is more like family drama who continue to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine. Lusi will be chosen as the future successor, however she is a typical free spirited orphan who doesn’t like to be told what to do. And she meets son of family and romance will develop. You must see with your eyes what will happen between them. It’s not an easy love with so many ups and downs.
If you are fan of Lusi, then I’m positive you will like this drama even there are little romance. First of all, the chemistry with ML, it became quite good towards the middle. This new comer ML, he was amazing to play the son and love interest of Lusi as spoiled yet struggling to find his position in his family. It’s so surprised to know this drama is his 1st drama!! There are two more side couple stories. Their characters represents ‘ Yin and Yang ‘ thru the episodes.
I usual like to give 10 stars due to bias fan of Lusi, but there were few frustrating episodes towards the end and some of the stories weren’t necessary to be included in the drama. Sudden change of story lines and nuance were really not my favorite in this drama. So I deducted 0.5. If they wrapped up the last 5-6 episodes with more romance between FL and ML, it would have been 10.
If you like medical drama, family drama, funny/serious/crying moments/romances, and of course, Lusi fan, don’t miss it!

The BEST drama of 2022
I usually end up fast forwarding few scenes while watching long C-drama but this drama is one of very few that I didn’t skip nor fast forwarded its scenes. I actually made sure to read the entire subtitles. I also continue to repeat watching some of the episodes. I love this drama that much.Since it aired Tue-Thu, I wanted the weekends to pass fast so that Tuesday would come. Who wants weekend to end so fast? I loved this drama that match.
Some said slow burn love between main CP, but I actually enjoyed such slow burn love of this drama. It was realistic and I was patiently waited the right moment. And entire characters had so much contributions to this drama. How can you not love this drama!
I loved Wu Lei in LONG BALLAD, but the age difference between he and FL caused me to shift my interest to secondary CP of Lusi and Yuning. But this drama, Wu Lei and Lusi are similar age and their relationship were more realistic so I really enjoyed watching these two to play CP.
And thanks to Director! There were NO BIRD KISS.! There were tons of REAL KISS. Finally, There were many twist and turn. What a great drama!

I'm surprise that the rate is not higher
I truly enjoyed this drama. I'd say first 15 episodes and last 8 episodes were very well written. I got bit bored in the middle but I didn't skip any episodes. I don't think this is super great like some other drama with 9-10 rating but it was pretty entertaining and main CP did great job performing and 3 other CP did good job while many dramas usually have boring stories for second and third couples.The last 8 episode had unexpected twist and turn and ML made me cry at Ep 37. He is quite a good actor.
I recommend to watch this drama if you like couple story how they develop love from love & hate relationship in the beginning and solve mysteries round these couples.

If you have experienced romantic crash to older guy in your school days, you can relate to FL in this drama. The emotion and feeling of FL are so well described and performed by Lusi. And the chemistry between ML and FL were phenomenal and they made this drama much more fun and meaningful. At the same time, screenwriter, director, all of supporting performers and staff are amazing to complete this perfect love story. Especial actor who played older brother of FL, he was amazing.Without any doubt, this drama will attract many viewers around the world. It is rated as TV-G in USA Netflix, so young adults can also enjoy it.

What a disappointing last two episodes
I have such a mixed feeling of this drama. Up to Ep14, it was one of the perfect score 10 that made me cried so many times. However the ending of this drama was total disappointment. That’s why my review is rather low.It is well written family drama, sportsman-women ship, school friendship, teenage first love and etc. However the drama created such an anticipation how it will end, then it crashed me. The final episode was total disappointment, especially for ML. It may have been a bitter sweet teenage first love experience for FL, but ML was already a young adult with hardship due to family issues. That is one of the reason why I hoped the ending would be a happy one. It was too much hardship for young adult to down fall financially at such a young age. It would have been much better drama if ML and FL to stay together by overcoming the difficulties. Such happy ending may be a cliché but I will give 10 if this was happy ending.
Oh boy, I just have such a bad taste in my mouth after watching such a disappointing ending. It is funny thought, I do not dislike bad ending like ‘Moon Lovers’. It was such a heartbreaking drama, But I keep watching the last episode over and over knowing I would cry so hard.
Too bad there is no way to make season 2 since characters are already in 40ish. Especially FL closed her chapter, her true love , at the very end. It would have been better if it was an open ending to bring them back together and makes happy ending at season 2. I would liked if ML meets FL at funeral and finding they are still single. Then daughter was their love child. And she was finding their parents love story in season 1. Hmmmmm I should have been the director of this drama. LOL

This is a unique C-drama that you can enjoy both modern and costume settings
I am a big fan of Jeremy so I must give perfect 10 ! I read few negative comments but I really enjoyed this drama due to unique set up. I always watch BTS after I finish the drama. BTS shows how hard they all worked together to make this drama and they made efforts to let us enjoy it. There are few hiccup but they were okay. Story lines were good and actings were good. Main CP and second CP had quite a age gap but it’s okay since there are variety of age differences in real couples.So if you like romance with lots of fast hart beating, you must watch this. And of course if you are fan of Jeremy, you must watch it. Story is not typical C-drama,and there aren’t not too many confusions except Ep 29&30. You can consider these last two episodes are total extra & bonus episodes and you can make your decision how last two episode meant.
The only thing I wished was, I wanted Jeremy’s real voice instead of dubbing. Jeremy has most sexy and low voice. So if you want to see his real voice drama, don’t miss ‘The Autumn Ballad’. It was sooooo good!

Wuxia drama with some romance, it's very balanced drama
I am baiased to Chen Xiao, so no matter what, I will give perfect 10. However, there were few moments I couldn't understand the story due to missing pieces. It could be due to ENG is my second language that caused the misunderstanding, so I just deducted 0.5 point from 10.If you like little laughter, romance, marshal arts fighting scenes and plots, this is a perfect one. Not too romance, not too wuxia, not too much fighting scenes and you will also cry few times. And all of the actors and actresses are very experienced seasonal performers, so very steady acting. OTS is also sung by Liu Yuning, as usual, wonderful singing by him.
I just wish this drama was like 50 eps to expand more for the final plots to go into detail. Anyway, this is one of my favorite costume drama of 2023 ! I recommend to watch it.

One of the few C-drama that has no mess ending
I love Chinese consume drama. The only concern I have watching them is uncertainty of final episode. It’s so typical to see ;*cliff hanging
*confuse ending, sometime I don’t understand the ending meaning at all. I always look for recaps and reviews online and need to find out exactly how it ended and meaning of ending
*rushed to close the story, so last couple episodes look like squashed into just 5min
*end up having TWO finals , meaning is they have one more extra episode. Always one is sad ending and extra is happy ending. Why do they make two endings like that?
Many of the C-drama have very strange way to finalize the story but I still love them. Luckily this drama had very straightforward ending and I didn’t feel any rushing to close the story. It’s based on the real novel and screen write must have done a very good job to end the story. That’s why after the last episode, I felt warm feeling and very satisfied feeling for a while. I didn’t even check the recap nor review for this drama. That’s is very rare !
What else are good to be 10;
*2 main CP’’s chemistry is so good. Their long history of acting experience and they must got along well playing the characters
*sub-main characters and others such as Emperor contributed the very well actings. Most of all, all actors acting were very natural.

Core story of this drama is romance between FL and ML, but at the same time side characters, such as two other sub-female leads’ friendship with FL and 3 females’ determinations to beat the social discrimination was definitely FEEL GOOD drama for a female audience like me. This is one of the TOP 3 drama I watched in 2022.

This drama became one of my most favorite costume C-drama
This drama's original novel was very well written, so I wasn't sure how it would come out as drama. But thankfully, original author is part of the screen writing, so drama is made as good as novel. Story of each main leads are well described and plots are made flawless. There are many scenes make you cry and sobs. Yet once in a while few plots make you laugh and lighten up your sad feeling. It is so well balanced for audiences to enjoy just like real human lives.What surprised me is while I love this drama so much, there are reviews with very low rating and wrote full of hateful comments towards drama itself and performers. Boy, there are so many different types of ppl in the MDL world. I can accepts proper critiques about the drama, but I cannot accept the hates in any of drama introduced here at MDL.
And some of them are obvious that they didn't watched the drama, but they already have strong negative opinions about it and they wrote bad reviews. Some of them wrote that there were too many violences and torture scenes. This drama is a fiction and if these fictions do bother audiences, they have a right to stop watching. If this drama is not your cup of tea, they can leave. Viewers may dislike the characters, but one thing I don't understand is why such dislike become the hate towards actors? It's very strange behavior to me. It irritates me that these haters intentionally write bad reviews. I don't get it what do they gain by doing so? It's very toxic mind some carry in their brain and mind.
I hope you will not be influenced by hate comments or super negative comments. You are the only one can make own decision to watch this drama or not, Or you will like it or not.

One of the best costume drama of the year 2022!
I just finished watching the last episode. Then I read many other reviews at MDL and there are very handsome reviews so I don’t need to go into the detail. This is so far the best drama of the year for me. I truly recommend all of you to watch this drama. It had comedic parts, some crying moments and of course some hart beating love moments when main CP crossed the path. I simply love actings by ZL and WL. Plus all other side performers made this drama much more interesting and rich in story. That’s why I kept watching some of my favorite episode over and over.One thing I don’t quite understand is how come some reviews rated this drama so low while they haven’t even finished it. Some only watched 4 ep then dropped because it’s slow. Some are only less than half episode finished. I guess everyone have different opinion and thinking. I hope they will provide the final reviews when they completed. Hope they all like this drama since I am a big fan of ZL. This is my first time I truly enjoy the slow burned love in C-drama.
Finally, it’s indeed beautifully written and executed by the directors and performed by the actors and actresses. It’s rare to me that I enjoyed every single conversations and scenes. I didn’t skip a single scene of the drama.
I cannot wait for season 2.

What a lovely love story
After 'Lost you forever S2', I needed to watch something to make me feel good and happy. I found it here!I don't usually watch modern drama much, but I recommend this one if you like TJC and simple love story. His voice is so attractive and I truly enjoyed full of great singing songs by TJC, duet by main leads and group of their friends.
It also has zero mean girls and no bullying. It's little slow burn love the first half, but once his confession of love, oh boy, there are full of love in the air. I just kept smirking while watching the last half ? There are lots of lovely TJC who express his love so straight and I am almost embarrassed watching but enjoyed a lot. This drama also give you lots of butterflies in your stomach!

Romance, plots, tears and lots of laughs, what a well balanced costume drama!
i just finished watching this drama. I didn't care for its OST at all, but the drama itself is one of the best comedy with lots of romances, kisses and plots. Very straight forward and easy to watch.ML is super handsome and cute time to time, 2nd ML is also handsome and well played. i didn't care much of FL in the beginning but later on I came to like her. All side characters also played well. Since it is such a fun drama, i will definitely repeat watching while i watch heavy duty serious dramas. This drama will lighten up your emotion if you are watching or after you watch serious sad dramas.
If you like romance, you cannot miss this one.

What a journey from the beginning to end
I rate LYF as 10 & -1, but not 9. (well, I cannot rate 10-1, so it's 9, I think) It's hard to explain. I read the novel and it was one of the best novel I read. Tong Hua is an amazing writer, no wonder I also love Moon Lovers/Scarlet Heart.-1 is because S2 story lines were changed from original while they followed almost the similar to original for S1. I wonder they made changes due to no. of episodes were cut down to 2/3 ?! Or I read some comments that production was afraid of the criticisms by CX fan for following the original? -1 is also I was extremely upset to know someone leaked the scripts and that ruined my anticipation of how this drama would end. Even I didn't read it, there were so many comments about it here and other SNS.
Anyway I read many comments said they were sad because their favs had BE. I may be the only one think that all of main leads somehow got their wishes.
XY=Found the forever love and peaceful & carefree life
TSJ=Found love and assisted CX to unite the countries
CX=United the countries, became the King and brought the peace to ppl
XL=Completed the obligations and responsibilities to fight for adopted father and ppl of his clan.
FL=Achieved to fulfill his father's wish to secure his clan's position and save his twin sister's life.
But of course, they cannot achieve their HE without some losses. And we all know what each losses are.
What a journey from the beginning to the end. Despite these -1, I truly enjoyed this drama. Entire performers made this drama this good ! Each performers acted so well of their characters. I am so happy they made this novel to such an enjoy full drama!
(BTW, my favorite male lead for XY was keep changing every episode! If possible I like to have reverse harem for XY, so that no one dies and everyone is happy.)

You will enjoy the perfect chemistry of Yang Yang and Lusi
I recall DML score of this drama at episode 2 was 6.3. Then it becomes 8.6 and as of today it’s 8.7. I am glad there are lots of viewers who enjoyed this drama despite some early viewers. Since I am a big fan of Lusi & YY, I gave overall score of 10.There are lot more viewers who wrote very handsome and detail reviews, so I recommend to read them before you decide to watch this drama. Therefore I must give them overall review of 10 to show my appreciation to all the people who involved making this drama. It was very enjoyable and thanks all for excellent works to make this such a enjoyable drama.
Compared to other similar costume drama, main CP were always side by side, they respect each other and love each other. This type of relationship in the storyline gave me such a happy feeling whenever I see them. And this two main actors chemistry made this drama 200% better.
I just hoped they made more romance part of Lusi and YY since 80% were politics, plots and wars. I also hoped the story line included family love between Lusi, her older brother and her farther, and cut it short of villains’ sorry. Most warm hearted character were not showed much. They were gone so quickly. It was little sad the story didn’t show much of Lusi side of family affair. (Well, I like the actor who played Lusi’s older brother. Very nice looking actor (^O^)
Music OST are also great. Especially opening song is my favorite. Lusi’s EYEBROWSE are the cutest and her horse riding and dancing skills are as great as usual. Yang Yang’s acting skill is getting better and better since You Are My Glory!!!

Both Korean original and Japanese remake are great. I like JPN remake little better.
I watched both movies and both are made great, however, this remake made me cry lot more than original Korean version. I felt more inner emotions of main leads in this movie. I think it’s because actings were maybe better?ML actor Ryusei was much better in acting than FL lead in this remake. Her acting was little inexperienced to me and she wasn’t convincing to me compare to Ryusei. His eyes, body language and face expressions were amazing.
It’s little slow in the beginning, but this remake will make you cry at the same time it gives you heartwarming. I definitely recommend watching it.
