Ratings and the series quality are opposite to each other

How can this have such high rating!!!

For the first time, I can't understand how Lovely Runner has a rating above 6 stars. The story is incredibly repetitive, making it a chore to watch. The acting feels forced and often grates on the nerves. Even though the drama involves time travel, it frequently abandons basic everyday logic and common sense whenever it suits the plot. This lack of consistency ruins the immersion, making the experience more frustrating than enjoyable. I expected much more.

Good slice of life superhero series

The acting and VFX in the Korean drama series are both excellent, but the editing is so lazy and uninspired that it ruins the entire experience. The series is a snooze fest for the most part, with long stretches of exposition that are interrupted by sudden bursts of violence. The editing is also riddled with continuity errors that break the immersion of the series.

For example, in one scene, a character may be shown crying, but in the next scene, they are suddenly smiling. Or, a character may be shown walking down the street, but in the next scene, they are suddenly standing in a different location. These continuity errors are jarring and can take viewers out of the story.

The series' editing problems are also evident in its pacing. The series is incredibly slow for the most part, with long stretches of nothing happening. The filmmakers seem to be afraid to cut anything, even though there are many scenes that could have been removed or shortened without harming the story.

For example, there may be a long scene in which the main characters are talking, but they are mostly just repeating themselves or saying nothing of importance. Or, there may be a long scene of a character walking from one place to another. These scenes could have easily been cut or shortened without losing any important information.

The series' climax is also often overlong. The action sequences may be well-choreographed, but they go on for too long and become repetitive. The filmmakers could have easily cut the action sequences by a few minutes without losing any of the excitement.

Overall, the series' editing is simply terrible. It's clear that the filmmakers didn't put much thought or effort into it. As a result, the series is a chore to watch, and it's impossible to get invested in the story.

If the filmmakers had taken the time to edit their series more carefully, it could have been a much better series. The acting and VFX are both excellent, and the stories have potential. However, the lazy and uninspired editing ruins the entire experience.

In addition to the above, here are some specific examples of editing problems that are common in Korean drama series:

* **Excessive use of slow-motion:** Korean drama series often overuse slow-motion, especially in romantic scenes. This can make the series feel slow-paced and draggy.
* **Unnecessary close-ups:** Korean drama series also often use unnecessary close-ups, especially of the actors' faces. This can be distracting and take viewers out of the story.
* **Poor scene transitions:** Korean drama series sometimes have poor scene transitions, which can make the series feel disjointed and confusing.
* **Inconsistent tone:** Korean drama series sometimes have an inconsistent tone, shifting between comedy, drama, and romance abruptly. This can make the series feel jarring and disorienting.

Despite these editing problems, Korean drama series remain popular with viewers around the world. This is likely due to the fact that they often have well-developed characters, engaging storylines, and high production values. However, it is a shame that the editing of these series often lets them down.

This is just not it, So disappointed!!

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch was a huge disappointment compared to the brilliant first season. The plot was dull and illogical, the characters were poorly developed and the music was lackluster. From the beginning, I felt something was off and it never got better until the end. The show wasted the potential of the Counters, who were once intriguing and badass demon-hunters, and turned them into clowns or sidekicks. The new counter, Jeok Bong, was annoying and useless. The show failed to deliver any suspense, humor or emotion. It was a painful and boring watch that I regret wasting my time on.

Don't fall for the hype, keep the expectations low and similar to what kdrama usually do

I had to fall for the hype and start it earlier than I planned, it was going well but you can see that the writers tried to mix storylines from multiple dramas without a core story.

Kim jung Nan character and acting is everything that is wrong with most kdrama, there's always that one character they get wrong by making them annoying and using them for all the dumb stuff no one else would do.

the leads chemistry and acting is spot on but how does one who is supposed so sick NEVER looks sick. is it part of contract to always make her look impeccable.

the ending is almost close but almost every single twist can be guessed long back due to similarities with other series so I don't have much hope but they will end it well as usual so a boring 7/10 as usual which is not a bad thing

The ending ruined the whole series and my time

Death's Game starts with an intriguing premise: a man, Choi Yi Jae, is offered a chance to live multiple lives after a failed suicide attempt. Each life presents a unique challenge, with the promise of a "real" life if he survives them all. The series initially hints at a deeper exploration of life's value and the choices we make. However, this potential is quickly squandered as the show gets lost in a maze of disjointed narratives.
Yi Jae's lives become increasingly absurd, lacking any cohesive connection or meaningful development. While some episodes offer glimpses of emotional depth and societal commentary, these moments are overshadowed by the overall randomness of the plot. The series seems more interested in shock value than in crafting a coherent narrative.
The ending is the ultimate disappointment. After investing time in Yi Jae's journey, viewers are met with a twist that feels cheap and unearned. It negates any sense of growth or understanding that the character may have achieved, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth. The message becomes muddled and ultimately meaningless, making the entire series feel like a waste of time.
Death's Game could have been a thought-provoking exploration of life, death, and second chances. Instead, it settles for cheap thrills and a nonsensical conclusion. The series squanders its potential, leaving viewers frustrated and disillusioned. It's a reminder that a good premise is not enough; execution and a meaningful message are equally important in crafting a satisfying viewing experience.
