Best Whodunit Crime Drama Ever!
Best acting! The subtlety of romance is just so good that it got us hooked although it didn't deter us from the stellar storytelling and tight dialogue among the actors. Definitely worth a watch for those who like whodunit shows and those who like to think! Love the twist! The show that got me to respect Korean dramas because of how it respects even the bad guys and that bad guys too have their story to tell. It's up to you to give your heart to it or not.
The attention to detail at every corner of the show and how while it seems disparate was linked beautifully and in the end you realised why things happen the way it did.

Just as dark and captivating as the first but missing the X Factor of the first
Not as tight as the first Stranger but the romantic tension between the leads is still a hook. I still like that the romance is never at the forefront but more of, you think its gg to happen but if not it doesn't matter kind. Love how the continuity of the first show is still evident but allows new joiners to just join without the backstory knowledge. While the villains and the story isn't as intriguing as the first, it still held it's own.
Can't wait for Stranger 3 and 4 and 5! Let's make Cho Sheung Woo's acceptance speech wish true, shall we :)

First Korean show that got me interested
The first South Korean movie piqued my interest and the first one that got me to fall for Jo Jin Mo! Love the story! I love that it tackled both the (then) rising interest in cosmetic surgery and the real meaning of beauty. Love how she ends up being empowered and that no man is actually worth a woman's attention.I'm actually amazed at how all the actors and actresses stay looking not a day older even to this day. As for the music I love the soundtrack although it's only 1 song that she sang but it's something that is memorable.

Dark Film Noir That Breaks Your Heart
Explosively poetic! Reminds you of a Tarantino show. Love the emotions on display and the visuals are just stunning (no not talking about the looks of the main leads. Jeju is perfect for the sombre melancholic mood and very complementary to the story! On that note kudos to the cinematographer as well as the fight/shooting choreographer. While some scenes may look like a straightforward copy of some of Hollywood's melancholic and film fest worthy shows, this show held their own, just like the leads.
Their quiet and restrained show of emotions was just perfectly nuanced that viewers became so invested and can literally feel the lead's anguish in the last scene. Brilliant job and chemistry.
A must see!
