We have one of the Sweetest ML with a great character development. (2nd watch)
It is hard not to like Jang Uk. There are so many reasons to like the character, including that he was such a understanding person even to those who hurt him. The creators did a wonderful job picking the cast, especially, Lee Jae Wook who is too damn attractive and charming in all his roles. He was such a green flag in the first season and had great character development throughout it. Even though he started out a bit childish and lazy, he grew into his role and it was just amazing to watch. During my first watch, the story got a bit boring with the other characters but I still completed it. However, during the 2nd watch, I'm focusing on the scenes that include Jang Uk, Mu Deok, & Seo Yul.Naksu, who soul shifted into Mu Deok's body, sometimes failed to convince that she used to be an Assassin who a lot of people were scared of. While she dropped the ball in some places, there were others that were very convincing. This includes all the crazy ticks she pulled to ensure that Jang Uk grew into his power. (For some reason, this time around, they reminded me of the Sae Roy and Yi-Seo from Itaeon Class, Yi-Seo and Mu Deok's character share similarities in the way they out of their way to ensure that their partners succeed no matter how it happens. Both Jang Uk & Sae Roy had to teach their partners about loyalty & care)

Loved it. The leads are surprisingly gentle and humorous.
The first 7 episodes flew away like a breeze. I do like the dynamics between the 2, but it seems like Shen Li was the only one to catch feelings during Xing Yun while was affectionate didn't seem to be that interested in her. Even when she was gone he lived his life very well, maybe missed her once in a while, but was not deeply moved by her leaving or even the idea of her marrying someone else. Even when he returned to the heavenly realm, he seemed as indifferent so far. Apart from mentioning that Shen Li was interesting he didn't intend to pursue her.Ep 8 to 16: She finally meets Divine Lord Xing Zi, who denies he knows Xing Yun, hearing which she sheds tears to which the divine lord is unmoved. He then insists on spending time with her. The Poor girl is busy scouting the place while the Divine Lord is taking a leisurely stroll in the garden.
The Divine Lord finally clears up that he didn't intend to spend time with her but it was to clean her miasma that he had to take her along. When she talks about him resembling an old acquaintance. He brushes it off saying its common and that she shouldn't get too attached to things or people. He then follows her to the demon realm and claims he needs to stay for fun and wants to live at her place. He then shows a teeny bit of what you could call jealousy when Shen Li's betrothed shows up. The one that divine lord himself picked.
Gotta love Shen Li, in ep 14, she finally decided to put everything out there and then kindly told him to go fuck himself. What's even wrong with the guy, he can't even sort out his own feelings and continues to mess with her, following her around everywhere just rejecting her left and right and still bombarding her with those mixed signals.
In ep 16, we get too see them work together, Shen Li gets hurts and we actually see Divine lord get mad for the first time. First green signal telling us that he does care for her. It is nice to see him hold her sweetly nursing her back to health.
ep 16 to 39: Wow this was very slow burn, they finally got together in episodes 30-31, while the chemistry between them was great the kisses were not it. Shen Li did a good job with the kisses, can't say the same about the ML.
What I like the most about this drama is that the leads don't betray each other and are loyal. There are never any misunderstanding or other man or woman they have to pretend to love in order to protect each other. So, i'll be putting this on my rewatch list.

I got into the drama thinking it was just a sad ending. But it is a whole toxic mess.
"Are you at an age where you should be crying over some drama character that dies?" -Noh EulYes. We are. But honestly the death wasn't even the saddest part of this drama. It was the relationship between the leads, it was so damn toxic. Had it not been for my curiosity and cast, this drama is far too overhyped.
From the first episode onwards, their relationship was doomed in my eyes.
The guy tripped her, she was limping.
He even stole evidence from her that could spoil his dad's reputation, she then got into an accident.
When he met her again, he left her in the middle of road nowhere where it was snowing and threw some money at her.
He then had the gal to be angry at her for not admitting that they knew each other.
When she rejected him because she had feelings for the other guy, he actually kicked her.
Let's not talk about the way he treated her once they actually got into a relationship.
There's more, he even kissed other woman in front of her, let her be humiliated and contributed to that humliation.
I initially thought the FL would have some kind of backbone and expected more from her, but she number of times allowed him to treat her like shit and then kept going back.
This is the kind of plot that gives me the ick. The romance happened for about a minutes, the most of it was heartbreak for the FL. While the actors had chemistry, in the story, the MLs feeling for the FL just suddenly happened. They didn't have that great of a backstory to begin with.
I came into this drama expecting to be wowed and shed some tears at the end. But I shed more tears of frustrations with the way the entire relationship was handled compared to when he died. Since that's where his story ends, here's to hoping she finally meets a decent man and begins a new life.

Seemed good for the first 15 episodes & then everything started going downhill (Stay for the acting)
For the first 15-20 episodes you will actually like the Bai Ju, he was somewhat a decent guy. He ensured that Shang Gu got a second chance at life, treated her like a loved one for first half of that second life. Then he disappears for 10,000 years. Yes, the time just randomly speeds up in this show. He splits into two bodies, the good part of him, Qing Mu wins over Hou Chi, the reincarnation of Shang Gu., treats Hou Chi like a goddess that she is. The part of him that was Bai Ju eventually takes over and then treats Hou Chi and their child like shit. "Worst Father Award"I wanted to stop watching when Qing Mu was taken over by Bai Ju. The last thing the guy said to Bai Ju was "Be nice to Hou Chi" Guess what Bai Ju did? He was cruel, because he wanted to sacrifice himself.
The episodes from then on were just unbearable to watch and there is none of the Bai Ju loved in the first half left.
He begins by denying that he was ever Qing Mu to Hou Chi, who at the time was pregnant with their child.
He then decides to marry the woman he promised he would never looked at because Hou Chi/Shang Gu was the only one for him. He decides to trust that woman more than he ever trusted Hou Chi.
On the day of his marriage, when she confronts him (since they are still married), he divorces her in front of everyone. Not only that, allows her to get physically hurt, lets her father die in front of her, because it would have spoiled his grand plan of sacrificing himself.
He then neglects his child, while doing god knows what while the woman he claims to sacrifice his life for is in coma and now their child is being raised by the uncle (Tian Qi) who would actually have made a better partner for Shang Gu.
But does he cut off the connection completely? No, he tries to steal undeserved moments with them. Just let them go my dude! It was painful to watch.
The worst part of these sacrifices is the lack of trust, but i usually give it a pass because that's how these stories are structured, what I cannot get over is treating your partner cruelly.
Hou Chi died a sad death, betrayed by Bai Ju in all forms.
Edit: I forgot to mention a few things in the review before.
I was so upset for Hou Chi, that I forgot to talk about the environment they created for that child with the kind of choices they made.
Shang Gu once she woke up from her slumber was a good mother for a minute and then she had to go kneel in front of the deity for 500 years so they could have Bai Ju back. So, another 500 years of neglect for the child.
Sure, we can assume everything was hunky-dory once Bai Ju got back, but let's not lie and say they were both good parents for their child's first years of life.
The best part about this drama was the actors, they did such a good job in keeping my interest even though I wanted to give up. I did like the characters, they were pretty complex and not one-dimensional. I just feel sad for the child, makes me even wary of watching "The Last Immortal" but I need a few days to recover from this heartbreak and watch something light before even thinking of watching that.
I also held on till the ending because I wanted all that pain they suffered to lead somewhere and was glad to see that they did have the happy ending most people wanted.

Did not make any sense at all
The story is like someone said nonsense. They took a good concept and decided to just mess with it. The first episode did not connect with the whole story. There is such a visible inconsistency with the way the ML's character behaves in the first episode and rest of the show.In the first episode, he is a man, who lets his so called beloved marry a chicken and then forces himself on her on their wedding night. In the rest of the episodes, he seems like a different person, not a great ML but kinda okay. I have seen another drama featuring this Guan Yue (Night of love with you) he did good job in that. However, in TRL something was missing. Also, his makeup was so poorly done. In the last episode, when the FL dies, he walks to her with no grief in his expression at all. But later a tear slips down his cheek. Just so underwhelming.

Entertaining Rom-Com with a little bit of mystery and tons of Good Looking People
What a bunch of good looking people in one frame. The story is pretty shaky but it is fun to watch the FL's shenanigans. Someone rightfully said, it is quite similar to the romance of tiger and rose. I started watching this one right after I finished tiger and rose and it gave me the same feel.So far only seen 20 episodes and all of them were pretty good. The romance is slow burn but when it happens it is very sudden. The ML falls first. The FL is constantly wondering if the ML is going to kill her.
I also like the other couples in the story. Before finishing the drama I wondered how it was going to end, if it was going to have a rushed ending like tiger and rose or more drawn out one like Lost Romance. But in Lost Romance at least the FL & ML knew each other before crashing into novels. In here, the ML is purely fictional so far. So, maybe it might have an open ending like Please Fall into love.
But it was neither, it was more like the ending of the Unique Lady. Screenwriters using this trope need to do better with the endings. Stop with the open endings, there are 36 episodes in total. This needed to be planned better, there were quite a few other arcs that could have been avoided.

One word: Warmth. That's what the drama made me feel. Love it (Second chance romance worth watching)
Jo Yong Pil (ML): The greenest flag of a character I have ever seen. Its impossible not to adore him. The actor does such justice to the character, i wonder if the writer wrote the script with Ji Chang Wook in mind.Cho Sam Dal (FL): Very straightforward person, doesn't beat around the bush, which comes off as rude. This got her into trouble, leading to her loosing her career in the city. Bang Eun Joo (the villain) was smart to use that flaw in her character to her advantage. What I like about Cho Sam Dal are her faults, she can be pretty clueless at times and also slow to take actions, but despite them all she is a good person.
Sam Dal and Yong Pil complement each other so well. I am glad that Yong Pil got his happy beginning. While Sam Dal is a pretty impressive, Yong Pil steals the show and captures your heart, making you want to root for him. It impossible not to feel loved while watching this drama, that's how warm Yong Pil is. I'm more into enemies to lover tropes then best friend turned lovers, but this couple holds a special place in my heart. It shows us how relationships don't necessarily have to be the constant push-and-pull but can full of love and care.
Breakdown of allegations against Cho Sam Dal:
1. Bang Eun Joo intentionally went out of the way to get with Sam Dal's ex (Cheon Chung Gi ) just to prove that she could have him. (The guys is also utter crap) The only time Sam Dal said something intentionally harsh was when Eun Joo practically gloated to her that she slept with Sam Dal's boyfriend.
2. What Sam Dal said pissed off Eun Joo so much that she fabricated a suicide attempt and then claimed that she was driven to suicide because of Sam Dal bullying. Sam Dal on the other hand was so shocked to hear about the suicide attempt that she practically gaslit herself for a while, which had us all wondering did she really bully that woman?
3. That's not where it ends though, Eun Joo decided to steal Sam Dal's ideas and work as well. What did Sam Dal do when she discovered it, gave it away to the Eun Joo for free and decided to wash her hands of her.
Coming to Cho Sam Dal's family dynamics, watching the three sisters together is very fun. Ha Yool is also so damn adorable.
All the other couples were also pretty decent to watch. It was good to see all of them succeed in their careers.
I'm a bit unsatisfied with the ending because I just want more of the Samdal-ri's crowd, specially Sam Dal's and Yong Pil's relationship.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

Not really a bad remake. I wonder why people are complaining so much. (P.S. I love remakes)
Ep 1 to Ep 5: Before I started watching I went through the comments and most were pretty much bashing the show, the cast, & the story. When I finally got to watching it, I realized that most of them are being too negative. It isn't a bad remake. I can see why the actor who's playing Brandon, he sometimes resembles Park Seo Joon. Its the eyes and side profile. The actor Paulo is doing a good job as Brandon if you watch the drama without comparing. And Kim Chiu is really very pretty, her dimples are just so adorable. Her acting is also good. I like that they speak in English majority of the time, so I focus more on the scenes and people. In Korean version, Secretary Kim is more subtle in showing her emotions whereas here Secretary Kim is too emotional with expressions exaggerated. The one thing that they got wrong is the office space for the staff, it just doesn't go well with the theme of the show. I do like Brandon's throne though. They introduced Morpheus, he is one character that looks very sleezy, he looks like a young John Schneider who got a surfer dude haircut. I am not a fan of the other characters so far but lets see how it develops.Ep 6 to Ep 10: Even with the 20 mins episodes it drags a bit from time to time. I have to skip a lot of scenes because I'm only interested in what's happening between the leads. A few people in the comments said that the leads lack the chemistry, they must be blind. I see the chemistry. The remake has made a few changes as to when things happens and I like them. I also liked that Brandon chose to participate in the games instead of watching from the sidelines. Still not liking Cyrus's look though, give that guy a surfboard. I'm really not a fan of fusion food. Even other people eating it makes me go why!
Ep 11 to Ep 29: The story progression is fine, the chemistry develops gradually, and you are glad that they get together. However, the decision to hide the past seems to have been made very complicated but it isn't in reality. But that's trauma for you. But the FL already suspects that he is the 'Ninja Boy', so he might as well confide in her.

Happy Drama! It doesn't use misunderstandings as a tool to split the couple apart.
This made me so happy. The best part about this drama is that it just full of adorable moments between the lead couple. No silly misunderstandings, they understand each other. There were bouts of jealousy, but no one took things too far. The entire settings was just lovely.It had enough intrigue to keep things interesting. This was so well-written, I love the romance and comedy. One of the silliest thing was the two assassins dancing as they got out of the jail.
All the actors were also superb and a visual treat.

Wow! Why aren't people talking about this one more?
Initially when i saw the cast and roles, I thought that the twins would marry twins and that Chen Xing Xu was portraying both the Male leads, but thankfully that wasn't the case. This is the first time I was introduced to Luke Chen and he was amazing in the role of the third prince.I also had a lot of assumptions before going into the shows, I thought that the ML played by Cheng XIng Xu would be pretty tame however his story arc was quite powerful compared to that of the Void third prince. His pairing with Landy Li was so fun to watch. The drama didn't have much physical intimacy or even kisses but it was plain to see the lead characters feelings for each others.
I do agree with a lot of reviewers and commenters, the drama has great beginning and ending arcs, however it drags a little in the middle with filler episodes. I like the 3 shards story arc, but it could have been better written. Once they fell in love with her, she just stashed them in places and expected them to stay there no matter how much time it would take for her to find and woo the next one.
And one thing that bothered me, the drama focused too much on forgiveness & sacrifice. Too many characters that shouldn't have been forgiven were forgiven, and unnecessary sacrifices were made for those.

Liguang Ye Tan

Loved her right from the beginning. I like watching characters that are open about everything and say what they want. So I pretty much enjoyed watching her every time she was on the screen. She adored Qing Kui and it showed despite her trying to be a hardass at times. What I liked about Ye Tan is that even though she was envious of the way Qing Kui was treated, she never blamed Qing Kui for it. She knew the culprit was her father and she laid the blame right at his feet. Despite being treated like a prisoner all her life, having to hear cruel words from her father, she found it in herself to forgive him because he did all that to protect her. (Nope, still don't care for her father. She almost died quite a few times because of his negligence. When he used those harsh words, he gave others in his kingdom permission to treat Ye Tan poorly. She was starved most of the time, left to be eaten by animal once. People dared to do this because they knew that her father didn't care for her. Her relationship with You Qin was beautiful to watch.
Empyrean Xuan Shang / Shao Dian You Qin

He was so damn adorable. From the get go, we could see how affected he was by Ye Tan. Once he realized that he liked Ye Tan, he never hid his feelings. He was honest about them, even when he turned her into a walnut and sewed her mouth shut. When he found out that Ye Tan was not Qin Kui, he kick up much fuss about it. He accepted her without creating any unnecessary drama that would be out of his character. He was consistently loyal to Ye Tan (Let's not mention that one shard who was promiscuous for his own good). Qing Kui would never have been a good match for him, she would have probably just gone along with everything he wanted and not changed his life much.
Liguang Qing Kui

In the beginning, I was a little upset with her character, not because she was favored twin, but I always felt like she could have done so much more for Ye Tan. What upset me even more was that she was a bit hypocritical with Chao Feng / Third Prince, telling him that she disliked people who treated their family badly. However, she was fine treating her father (Emperor Liguang) well when he treated Ye Tan abysmally. This highlighted her privilege, since her father so clearly loved her, she could turn a blind eye to how he treated Ye Tan majority of the time. Ye Tan never blamed her, since she was imprisoned by her own family, treated poorly, she was glad to receive what little she received from Qing Kui. There could be more to the story, maybe she helped her sister a lot more than we got to see but it wasn't depicted so clearly. I did grow to like her character, especially after watching, "Immortal Samsara: Part 1" , where we have another set of twin sisters who were borne out of same root. It just made me look at her in a different way. Throughout their interaction Qing Kui had always been kind to Ye Tan. She always thought the best of Ye Tan and her ambitions of becoming the Demon of the Void. All their interactions were genuine. Even when the whole mix-up happened and she ended up in the void realm she could have blamed Ye Tan for trying to create a mess to get her out of her wedding she wasn't really against of. However, she was quite sane and even looked out for Ye Tan in her own way. So maybe Qing Kui was one of the reasons Ye Tan didn't loose her spirit even after spending 18 years in captivity.
Chao Feng / Third Prince

The great liar, it was fun to watch him come up with crazy but believable stories to hoodwink Qing Kui, who easily fell for it. The crazy idiot, didn't even realize that he was creating a trap for himself and when he did realize he was quite happy to fall head over heels for Qing Kui. While he appeared quite dashing in many scenes, I do wish his character would have been more imposing and not often defeated by You Qin. I wanted to see them as equals.
Shao Dian Xiao Yi [Heavenly Emperor]

The emperor, You Qin's father, was more of glory hound, who didn't really care about You Qin as his child. He just wanted to be known as the father of the great Empyrean who achieved the perfect celestial body and saved the world. Even the fix is not permanent, only for a few hundred thousand years, after which he might as well pop out another child to sacrifice, when he himself never had the guts to step up to the plate. Qing Kui was such a decent person and he seemed very happy when she died, that was quite disgusting to see. His expression of glee was present when he found out that You Qin made progress in his cultivation, not really caring that his son was going to die. A decent parent would have been worried about his child, he seemed elated. Its a wonder his wife tolerated him for so long. We all understand sacrifices are to be made, but he could have been a supportive and understanding parent to You Qin. What's more, he was the first one to be an obstacle in bringing You Qin back to life. Even when he came back to life, he just was selfish prick to everyone included.

A Do Over + Zhang Ling He + Zhao Jin Mai = A recipe for perfect drama!
Ep 1 to Ep 6: I have bad feeling. That it isn't really a a reincarnation trope but dream one, like the one in Scent Of Time, where by the end we figure out that there are no second chances or redos in life. You live it once, so you should live it well to not leave behind any regrets. From the first episodes, it was easy to see that there were a lot of misunderstandings between the leads. I do not like Li Rong in the 2nd episode at all. She humiliated him so much, it was disturbing to watch. That is not a lead character you root for, reminds me of Li Su Su hitting Tantai Jin when she returned back in time. Throughout the episode I kept wondering when they would figure out about their second chances, it is good that it happened earlier on. 3rd episode clarifies a few things about their previous relationship. There was such a lack of trust between them, when it was necessary to speak out for their relationship, Pei Wen Xuan remained silent . At the same time, Li Rong spoke over him, trying to save some dignity, claiming that she liked someone else. What Fools! In 4th episode, we find out that We Xuan knew that Li Rong thought he had betrayed her & didn't clarify because things weren't simple. As we get glimpses of their marriage, it does seem like he let her down a lot. He also admits it himself, maybe that's the reason he seems to like her & wants to protect her despite of the way she treated him when they started again. Zhang Ling He does so well in historical costume dramas. The glimpse of the lovey dovey memories makes me wonder when did it start going wrong. You can see that Pei Wen Xuan refuses to deny his involvement with Zhen Zhen, I wonder why though? I can only hope that he did not cheat on her. It is hard to come back from that.Ep 7 to Ep 13: Oh what a mess! The only reason things didn't work out between the two is because they refused to trust each other and depend on each other. It didn't even take much to break them apart, just a little misunderstanding. Li Rong was insecure and did not trust him, Pei Wen Xuan cared more about his ego than their relationship. If only they had talked to each other and sorted things out, but no, who wants to be mature! That conversation in the rain was a long time coming and I'm so glad Pei Wen Xuan took that lead. I kept wondering why on the earth would he listen to her nonsense. All he had to do was deny it once. But in Li Rong's defense, it did seem like Wen Xuan had unresolved feelings for Zhen Zhen. He even said that she should have waited for him to sort through it. How long after being loved by him was she supposed to deal with his feelings for other woman? Even if those feelings turn out nothing but a habit that was mistake as feelings. Their relationship status was sure as hell complicated. I just hope that if this is not a dream, both of them make it by the end. I like watching jelaous Wen Xuan, at least he is not holding it in like the previous lifetime where he just let Su Rong Qing have her.
Ep 14 to Ep 19: What Li Rong did for Pei Wen Xuan was beautiful & a long time coming. Right now, I do feel like the script has issues, but the characters & the leads make up for it. It is especially good when Pei Wen Xuan decides to act all cute. Them claiming that they are besties is good way for them to start their relationship this time around. I wasn't worried that he had died but what worried me for a bit was that Rong might accept Su Rong Qing's proposal. That was too close for the peace of my mind. Su Rong Qing is either going to be a great help to Li Rong & Pei Wen Xuan or the biggest hurdle they have to cross in their way to stay alive for which they require power.
This has been interesting from the get go & the cast has a done a good job of it. Now, I have to wait for 1-2 or episodes daily.

Tune in for Laughter Galore! Starts off with a bang!
Ep 1: The leads look so good & they are funny! It starts with a fake police (our FL) handcuffing our sweet Mobster with toy handcuffs for a crime he didn't commit. The FL is really gutsy and crazy! First meet, she mistakes him for a guy who tried to harm a waiter with a broken bottle. Second meet, she thinks he is stealing money from the kids! As if the handcuffs were not enough, she hits him in the head from the back and runs away! She is waring a mascot getup for her part time job. The ML thinks she sells drugs because he mistook the kid candies she had for drugs. You know a drama is good when you want the first episode to be longer than 1 hour. The SML also seems to be connected to these somehow, we'll find out how. The Thirsty Deer gang is so fun to watch.Ep 2: Damn the FL has a very overactive imagination! I still can't believe she let go of him when he was about to fall. Poor guy can't seem to catch a break when he is around her. And he is already falling for her. Wow, his guy gang just couldn't take a hint that he wanted them to get out. Okay this episode was a little less crazy than the previous one, but it was nice. I honestly like the leads a lot, all three of them. I wonder what's up with the SML. Is he really the Hyeon U, she has been searching for. Their history sounds interesting. I wonder what happened between the two & if he remembers her.
Ep 3: I was watching binge-watching the cdrama "Story of Kunning Palace", so catching up on this episode was a sudden change of genres & language for me. I thought the intensity of Kunning palace might make me loose interest in this drama (I didn't want that to happen), but thankfully the ML did something that was in character for him to do, the map of India no Indonesia. He clearly was so bothered that Yeong asked her to call him if she wanted to go on a drive sometimes. Yeong knows the effect he has on women and he uses it well. Oh man, he is so adorable with the coat thing! Okay this episode was lovely & next one looks even better.
Ep 4: Okay both ML & SML made me laugh at the strangest things they did. The slide scene reminded me of Lovely Runner's slide scene where Sun Jae was trying to hide from Im Sol. I don't like FL's coworker who tried to humiliate her. Even though she is doing good career wise, she wants to bully FL because she holds something against her (No reason has been provided so far) Here's to hoping that the Thirsty Deer Crew doesn't hire her but chose to work with FL because she truly seems to care about the children.
Ep 5: These two cuties are making it so fun to watch. I'm sure no one watching the drama is Kang Ye Na's fan. From the way things are going, it is clear that Ji Hwan is Eun Ha's childhood sweetheart. But the change of name and another Hyeon U taking fancy to her needs to be explained so have to wait for the revelation. The names of the gangs are so funny, we have Bull Dog & then Meow/Kitty. That kiss was so unexpected, I wish all of it was shown from the front and not back but we'll make do. Ji Hwan's reaction was worth watching!
Ep 6: Oh, I wonder if the thing between Ju Il Yeong & Koo Mi Ho is going anywhere. He did seem like someone who has a way with women so it is hard to figure out if he is looking for than a fling. Koo Mi Ho was attracted by his looks so not yet sure she feels anything tangible as well. But they looked good together. That one flashback we got was so damn steamy & far too short. Ji Hwan is one of a kind, with the way he started flaunting his shoulders. The preview for next week's episodes look sad, I wonder where it is going.
Ep 7 & Ep 8: Ah so there's the explanation about how he is her childhood sweetheart. So the prosecutor with the same name is such a big coincidence. The gang is all so silly. Ju Il Yeong pulled the it was a mistake card! (facepalm) Poor Mi Ho was so embarrassed. I wonder how she ended up in the same hospital room as he did in the first few episodes. Ji Hwan trying to protect Miss Minnie but it is in vain. What have we learned from watching countless similar plots? They end up admitting their feelings anyways! Next week's previews look exciting, however, they seem to need liquid courage to kiss each other.

I was surprised to see Park Min Young & Song Kang Paired together.
I was intrigued by the actors playing the leads, which brought me here.Ep 1: Having watched Cho Young Pil go crazy over weather forecast in Samdalri, I was happy to see another crazy forecaster in Shi Woo. I liked how he stood up to Ha Kyung when he knew he was right. I think him calling her out on her personal issues was a bit too much. Now, let's talk about the trashy ex. Moron got caught cheating, so he married the woman he cheated with. He took half of the expensive stuff as if it was his own, wants the FL to sell the apartment and split the costs (this maybe is fine, since they weren't married) But he wasn't remorseful about his actions at all. FL looked heartbroken when she caught him in the act. Gives me the eck!
Ep 2: What an horrible ex to have. Not only is he even a little bit apologetic, but he goes around flaunting his relationship with his new wife without even consideration for her feelings. Whenever him and his wife come on screen they spoil the whole watching experience for me. The leads have good chemistry together. I'm so glad that Ha Kyung finally spoke her mind. The guy didn't contribute to most of it. She was the one who paid for most of the stuff including the house they were living in. He wanted to go half when all he paid was for 7%. He had the guts to ask for those things after he cheated on her. So damn low. Shee Woo's ex isn't any better either. She keep pretending as if she is gods gift to the world.
Ep 3 to Ep 8: Both Shee Woo & Ha Kyung are gradually learning to trust each other. They are quite a few setbacks which include their idiot exes who can't seem to lie in the beds they made. Ki Joon is such a hypocrite, it was fine when he lived with Ha kyung before but he can't accept his wife's past because she lived with another dude before she got hitched to him. She isn't any better, why not be upfront about her past. I think she got together with Ki Joon because she thought he had money, but learning that he doesn't have much and that they both would have to work to earn a house for themselves seems to make her so uncomfortable. As if someone owes her a house. Now that they both have found out that their exes are dating each other, pretty sure they are going to go out of their way to tell them that they are wrong to be dating.
Ep 9 to Ep 16: This arc was very frustrating to watch. The leads kept dragging the same issue without resolving it. It was frustrating and painful to watch. Why suggest break up if you don't want to? You clearly have different ideas of what you want from life. One wants to be married the other doesn't. Why torture each other needlessly? Is there not going to be any resentment down the line? I was so upset with how Shee Woo was dealing with things that I wanted Ha Kyung to meet someone else at this point. Someone who wouldn't make her constantly doubt her worth. At the same time, I felt that Shee Woo was in need of a therapist. If after dealing with his issues he still felt the same way about marriage then that would have been more logical.
As much as I like them for a short arc, it wasn't that fun to watch. It was interesting but that's about it.

All the couples are great!
I started this drama especially to watch Shin Hye Sun & Sun Hun together and they were so damn good. All the couples in the drama were so well-written. They were loyal to each other, cared for each other, and didn't give up on each other even during hardships. Many of them temporarily retreated but then came back strong in pursuit of their loved, which was so endearing.I was bit afraid about the Sang Tae being a jerk to Mi Jung not just because of his dead wife but because of his chaotic family. There was that one instance in the beginning when he tried to put a wall between them, but it handled nicely by his father. His father was such a sensible person throughout the series. Apart from the part when the boys were hit on their calves, I really liked the way they handled parenting those kids. With so many of them under a small roof, it could have turned bad but they both handled it so well. Mi Jung's ex was deadbeat father even when he was given the chance to bond with them he always chose to be selfish. He had no business having more children who he might end up leaving in the future. I didn't like that Mi Jung held the children against him when he cheated. But looking at how the ex behaved majority of time, Mi Jung made the right decision. The kids wouldn't have grown up so well-mannered or even nice under his care.
Ho Tae & Soo Young were good for each other as well. Despite their past decisions, they grew up well. It was good to see Ho Tae growth from the thief who stole from his sister to a successful director.
All the parents in the drama were chaotic enough to give me a headache. From the parents in law who didn't want their son in law to move on, to the parents who thought their son were too good for the women they chose. That's the only part of the drama that I could do without.

One of Park Seo Joon's best performances. And Kim Da Mi, never disappoints.
Jo Yi Seo was such a complex character that stole the show whenever she was on screen. It was honestly hard to look at anyone else with the kind of energy she brought to the table. There are things that I didn't like about her character, like her first instinct is to always look out for herself and who she values in a way that may harm others. She doesn't care about collateral damage at all. Initially, she is always intolerant of other beliefs and preferences (relatable for all I'm sure), saying cruel things to anyone who doesn't fit the mold. Which is quite surprising, since she is someone who doesn't fit it at all.What I do like is, she does apologize and her apologies always appear sincere, even though they might be due to the scolding she has received from the ML. But what can you do, when your mother doesn't care about such things and just cheers you on no matter what you do. Even with her sociopathic tendencies, she had a little heart and she needed someone to guide her. While that be one excuse we can use to defend the character, its just that. Her character was fun to watch and kept things interesting.
Out of all the Park Seo Joon's Drama, this happens to be the one that I'm impressed the most with. It is easy to act all goofy, but the emotions he brought to his characters were simply great. His character was also pretty solid and someone who stuck to his beliefs no matter what. Surprisingly, he was one of the characters that was more open to change as well. What he didn't knew, he learned and wasn't ashamed of learning from someone younger that him.
The Romance:

There were times when it seemed like it would be natural for Park Sae Roy and Oh Soo Ah to end up together, especially with the way he noticed only her even when Yi Seo was in the room and his stubborn insistence that the he liked Soo Ah, despite anything.
But being with Oh Soo Ah wouldn't have helped him achieve the success & revenge that he was so thirsty for. Without Yi Seo, he probably would have had a very hard time and might have taken additional years to achieve those goals. What Oh Soo Ah achieved through her years of patience is just as important. She was just as lonely as Sae Roy, so in a way, it seemed a bit sad that they didn't end up together. Rather than both of them spending their time apart and alone, they could have worked together, helped each other grow but they each made a choice that separated their paths, ultimately leading to different destinations.
Coming to Yi Seo, she was kind of saint when it came to the romantic aspect. She fell first and everything she did was for Sae Roy (Of course that doesn't negate the satisfactions she received from helping him achieve things no one else could). That is my problem with her romance arc. She was one that was more in love with him. It took him so many years to actually realize what he felt for her. While Yi Seo has sociopathic tendencies, she is not a full on sociopath. She has the capability of understanding & empathizing when taught. So, she must have felt the rejection time and again, especially when he chose to go to Soo Ah. Her pursuit of him was sometimes fun to watch and others just sad. The level of patience she showed for someone so young was commendable. But initially, her feelings were somewhat of a burden to Sae Roy. We did see him reject her, but from his face it was so easy to see he was conflicted and confused whenever she expressed her feelings.
Sae Roy needed to much prodding to come to his senses about his feelings for Yi Seo. Had there been a SML wo could have swayed Yi Seo a little, it could have been much more fun to watch. While Jang Geun Soo tried, he just was an adorable character that seemed a little too young for Yi Seo. Yi Seo was simply someone too old for her age. It was only before she was kidnapped when he was on a date with Sooh Ah that we were finally able to have a clear idea of his feelings for her. Even then, it took a kidnapping.
The worst part about this drama is the the final time skip to 4 years later. They just missed showing us the gradual growth not only regarding the romance but also the development of their brand (IC). It was such a missed opportunity. Even thought they had limited episodes to put that all in, they could have shown us bits and pieces of how things unfolded in those 4 years.
