This is the first season of this drama and both has similar story setting:- a strong-headed heroine (definitely not the damsel-in-distress sort) who had lost her memories of her childhood friend being trapped in an endless cycle of going in and out of different stories where each time she will meet the same guy (playing the male lead) and they will both fall for each other but get separated once her mission for each story is completed. The male lead ended up going from one story to another in the hopes of meeting her again. In the end, they will meet in real life and the back-story on what happened to them will reveal itself but that's something to look froward to in Season 2. This is similar to The Journey with the only difference is in The Journey, the female lead had to complete missions through different historical periods (time-traveling) while the male lead(s) searched for her through time. If you liked The Journey, you'll love The Story of Souls from Endless Books.

both have a similar feel to it. Jenius focuses more on investigation and sci-fi while Simple Man crosses many genre from sci-fi to investigation, action, mystery, medical and paranormal. Personally, I prefer Simple Man over Jenius but both are really good dramas if you are into cleverly made quality mystery, investigation type dramas.

both are dramas involving investigations on serial killers. In Bad Guys, you get a convicted psychopath killer helping a team of detectives and criminals to solve cases involving serial killers. In Love Me If You Dare, the male lead is a genius criminal profiler with a dark past where he couldn't remember if he had actually committed murder because he suffers from multiple personality disorder.

In both dramas, the past catches up with our leads and each murder case come together like a puzzle towards solving the main case involving our leads in the finale. In Love Me If You Dare, there is romance mixed in with the investigative and mystery parts of the drama whereas Bad Guys is mainly concerned with vengeance and solving murder cases.

both has a similar story with a poor girl completing tasks in order to earn money by living under the same roof as a group of brothers who are potential heirs of a rich man. Even the first task of making all of the brothers/cousins to eat together as a family is similar. Both has the girl having a mysterious background which will be revealed towards the end of the drama. The Korean version is more drama with some comedy while the Japanese version is more comedy than drama.

if you love Chinese quirky humour with outrageous themes and witty conversations, you'll love both of these dramas! Although set in different eras (obviously!), they belong in the same unique genre that features slapstick, at-your-face type acting. The females leads in both drama have similar characters - funny, cute, witty, jovial and a bit of a smarty-pants who can sometimes be on the point or sometimes so off the point, it's just plain funny! The male leads in both dramas have similar characters too - smart, cold, calculative and perhaps the only ones who tolerates the female leads' attics without cracking their perfect expressionless features. The men are the antithesis to the women - which worked well to the humour parts of both dramas. Despite the mostly light-hearted theme, there is a good story to be told in both dramas and both romances ended with an open ending (up to you to decide if it's happy or not). While Go Princess Go has three different endings, My Amazing Boyfriend announced a Season 2.

Both series are set in the same period in Chinese history (Qin Dynasty) and features the political turmoil of that era, though both are fictional and belong to the wuxia, fantasy & adventure genre. Both have a male lead that started out innocent and carefree until circumstances forced them to mature and take on the responsibilities of the world. The romances are generally tragic but in The Legend of Qin, you'll get a happy ending or two. Good story lines.
