I love dramas that have lots of practical life lessons, relate to our own life reality and initiate contemplation/self reflections.
Genres that I love watching are detective, spy, melodrama and comedy too.
Also love to analyze roles characterization, appreciate attentive acting skills and unique plots.
I wasn’t used to give attention too much on acting skills as long as the plot were good, but after watching Cheng Yi’s works, now become more aware, enjoy, appreciate actors/actresses’ works who have excellent acting.
Some of them are :
1. Cheng Yi of course, he always embodies and become one with his roles, that make his roles alive. He has great eyes acting skills and unique charm. if you haven’t watched any of his work, try to start with Love and Redemption, Immortal Samsara or Mysterious Lotus Casebook. You will definitely understand what is the definition of excellent and matured acting skill.
Bonus : he is cute in reality ? try to search and watch “cheng yi hello saturdays” on youtube
Warning : beware of falling into his pit, you wont able to get out, haha ?
2. Zhang Ruo Yun
Joy of Life literally the best political cdrama ever. Its very unique since everyone is so smart and cunning, a combination of Mei Chang Su (from Nirvana in Fire) and Li Lian Hua (from Mysterious Lotus Casebook). If you only had a chance to just choose only one-two cdramas to watch in a life time. This is the one (of course with Mysterious Lotus Casebook, haha)
3. Chen Xingxu
Try to watch Goodbye My Princess, its a legendary melodrama, and xingxu nailed the grey villain role that he was hated by the whole country (china) because of his role here.
Some of my recommendation for C-dramas :
-Mysterious Lotus Casebook - light comedy, detective style cases, friendship, top notch acting and smart dialogues, life changing life lessons and inspiration
- Joy of Life- literally 99% of the roles are smart and cunning, its a mind blowing political drama with light comedy. The dialogs also smart and unique, never seen this kind of drama ever.
-Who Rules the World - pleasing for the eyes, hahaha
Some of my recommendations for K-dramas :
-Hometown Chachacha - light, happy, also life changing decision
-Its Ok Not To Be Okay - dark, psycological
-Queen of Seven Days - romance, tragedy
