Backstories! And I was not expecting that ending!

Wohoo, Happy birthday to us!Lmao it's so funny how Kang Ho thinks that Mi Ran likes him when she actually doesn't. I am soooooooooo glad that Mi Ran's incorrect assumption about him being a pedo was finally clarified. I was getting so frustrated that they kept dragging that out.I loved seeing Mi Ran and her action scenes, she's such a girl crush and it was so funny seeing her younger self training so hard like that. This show is just really funny. Now that ending! We got some backstories of Kang Ho's past that explains why he hates "adult women" (and why he was brushing his mouth so hard after a kissing scene with his co-star a few episodes back) so the ending where he's shocked at his reaction (or lack thereof) to touching Mi Ran really shows that she'll be good for him. Also, now that his ex, Se Na, is coming into the picture and Kang Ho is starting to have feelings for Mi Ran, things are going to get more exciting.

Awkward firsts

Now that Kang Ho and Mi Ran are pretending to be a couple, they're having their awkward moments too. For most of the episode, I wasn't really feeling romantic chemistry. They're both just trying to make each other fall for the other and misunderstanding each others' reactions - I just want them to communicate. But alas, it's a pretend lovers plot line so we can't have that.The pace picked up towards the ending for me though. Seeing jealous Kang Ho makes me happy. I hope to see more lol. I want them to start developing deeper feelings for each other already. Also, will Mi Ran's best friend and the CEO of the entertainment company become a couple too? Side note, I'm already tired of seeing Se Na's face.

Dumb things

I'm just flabbergasted at the lack of preparedness the govt had for this situation.It looks like cold temperature helps to impede the aliens but the govt and their research testing lab have not yet figured this out? Like wut? It's even more ridiculous cos we saw them testing fire and bullets and other things. But they didn't test cold? Glad to see the students are finally moving quick and fighting now but would love to see more. Majority of them are still just screaming all the time, like don't yall know at this point that the aliens are attracted to sound ??Lots of frustrations watching this series, not too sure how much longer it can hold my interest.

Truths have been revealed and feelings have been communicated. Finally! I really like Mi Ran's strong female personality and her ideals for women equality. I just wish she was more soft when it came to love because for most part of the drama, she is just so cold/cool when it comes to love & relationships. However, I can understand that her experiences dating bad men has made her that way for self preservation too. Regardless, she's really just a cool strong female character and she is inspiring. I hope this episode was the last we see of Se Na. Though, I do love seeing her get rejected by Kang Ho so I wouldn't mind more of those scenes xD.

Lies we tell ourselves

SPOILERSJust want to put my thoughts out there so i can revisit.I really love how Xiaoxun and Lanxin's story was unraveled. You initially suspect LX then as more clues start coming up, your suspicions are misdirected and then you think you've got it, but you don't and the actual truth throws you for a loop. That was interesting. Also the whole reveal about XX's diaries was soo well done. I could relate because I remember also tweaking descriptions about the crushes I had in my high school diaries in case someone got access to my diary without my consent. XX for sure was not mentally stable; she was just a very lonely girl who in her own way was trying to anchor herself to something to protect herself and survive. I truly think she knew deep down that LX was a woman, but she deluded herself into believing she was a man because that is her preference. XX drawing LX in her masculine style in her artbooks but not completing LX's face in the drawings is what makes me believe she knew LX was a woman for sure. She didn't complete the drawings because she couldn't have LX's female features show in the face but she also didn't want to draw her with male features on her face because she knew LX wasn't a man. She wanted to imagine that this person who has been her companion, who has protected her and made her feel happy was someone that fit into her image of an ideal type, a man. LX breaking up that illusion made it impossible for her to keep deluding herself. The one good thing that she thought was hers and could keep forever was confirmed to be false and having nothing else going on for her in her life, she saw no reason to continue living.I feel bad for LX the most. She thought she was being seen and was being reciprocated with the same feelings, but all along she was just a stand-in for XX's fantasy. Not only was she faced with immense heartbreak, but she had to deal with seeing the person she liked harm herself because of her. LX is not at all to blame, but I can understand how one would carry guilt around after such an experience. Overall, a really wonderful episode. Actors are working their butts off and the writing is exceptional. So looking forward to the rest of the episodes.
