Firstly, the acting in this one was amazing on Athichart's part. He played such a great role as the God of Death. He really perpetuated the belief that all good things come to those who do good and bad things happen to those who sin. In terms of acting and character likability he definitely stole the show. Pattie was also good, but in contrast to the Prince's strong personality her acting was outshined. La-ongmanee's acting was disappointing. It seemed like he had the same facial expressions for most of his scenes. I'm not sure if it's just part of his character but the monotonous facial expressions got a little tiring to watch after a while. I've also seen this in other Thai actors as well so it could just be a part of the acting culture. For me, his acting could have improved a bit more. Pang Ornjira Larmwilai acted her part really well as the antagonist. Her character was despicable and had no remorse for those around her and she portrayed that well. Her character, Chalinee, grew up in the absence of her parents. They were always too busy with work to take care of her so she was in the care of others growing up. In a way, this led to her downfall. She never really experienced parental love or any type of love for that matter and this negatively shaped her. You can't help but pity her. However, every person has a choice in life. You can choose to make the right decision or you can choose to let your past influence you into making poor decisions. She always had a choice, and she had many chances to correct her behavior yet she always chose to go down the evil route.

Secondly, the storyline was mediocre. The thing that made me stay and finish the drama was the meaning behind the Prince's actions. To sum it up, he's the God of Death and every person's soul that leaves earth goes to him and he gets to decide whether they go to hell or to heaven. He stresses multiple times to each character that they should do what's right instead of succumbing to their greed. I think it's relatable in a way because we all struggle with what's right and what's wrong. It really makes us reflect on ourselves and ask whether we have done enough to deserve to go to heaven. Karma from one's past life is also mentioned and each character has some sort of karma bound to them. This made the plot more interesting because you learn that they are all connected in their past life. Their bad and good deeds follow them into their next life and this sort of determines how difficult or easy their life turns out. Charoenkwan was admirable because of her innate goodness. She exudes peace, happiness, and love in a world full of hate. The Prince can see this and truly wants the best for her. Their relationship was truly unique and one of a kind. They both want what's best for the other. I was left wondering why they didn't end up together. But I can also see why her and Isara were meant for each other.

Thirdly, the music was nice. I really liked the theme song. I don't remember much of the other songs but that one seemed to come on alot. Whenever it came on I would immediately think of a place without any evil or wrongdoings. There was one part near the end when this song came on and it was just the female voice singing without the background music and it was sooo beautiful, I cried. It almost got me to google that version and download it so I could listen to it on repeat. Actually, I'm probably gonna look it up after this!

Fourthly, the rewatch value is low for me. I don't think I'd be able to sit through 18 hours rewatching this.

Lastly, while it wasn't the best drama I've seen, it definitely had a great message for the viewers. Athichart was the saving grace for this drama in my opinion. If you're on the fence about watching this drama you should give it a try. Watch a couple episodes and if it's not to your taste you can always drop it. I do have to say this though: if you like happy endings then this one isn't for you.

This drama was unique because it follows the life of not just one person but of four of them. These four women are best friends and they each get their own love line. They teach us to stay true to the hopes and dreams of when we were younger. They also teach us the importance of friendship and unconditional love. I like how we get a glimpse into all of their lives and get to see how their love lines develop. Without saying too much, be prepared for a huge bomb in the middle of all of this. It was a jawdropper for me. I was pleasantly surprised that the writers added this into the story because it's not talked about a lot, especially in conservative cultures.

I do wish they gave more screen time to Rio and Mizuho. I feel like their storylines were rushed towards the end. Mizuho, I felt like had a lot of potential to be a great character and I wish she didn't always get the bad end of the stick. No matter how much I looked at it I couldn't help but feel like Rio didn't get a proper ending. Other than that I loved this drama.

Fu and Okuzono were a cute couple. Sometimes I felt like she acted a little too young, but I think Okuzono's mature side balances out this part of her. Like she said while they are complete opposites of each other and have different tastes in manga/anime (lol) she can't help but love him. Sometimes love isn't logical and sometimes we find it with the person we least expect. I laughed out loud when she did her "most embarrassing pose." XD I think she learned her lesson to just be herself when it comes to relationships. That's what I love about this drama. It teaches us that what works for one couple might not work for another so just be yourself.

Enjoji/Hiyama couple. What can I say? Lol. They were a HOT couple. Enjoji and her escapades were refreshing and, to be frank, a little exciting to watch. Their storyline can only be described as a girl trying to get the attention of a man who shows zero interest in her. You can tell Hiyama has a lot of fun messing with her because of this. It's like a cat and mouse game between these two. Can she catch him in the end? I went in expecting to like Fu and Okuzono's relationship the most but found myself rooting for Enjoji and Hiyama in the end.

Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.

King 2 Hearts is, hands down, one of my favorite kdramas. I could rewatch it time after time and still not get tired of the storyline.

Lee Jae Ha, played by Lee Seung Gi, had one of the best character developments in the drama. He went from a spoiled, rich, entitled, bratty prince to a strong, responsible and respectable King. His relationship with Kim Hang Ah, played by Ha Ji Won, was amazing. They both brought out the best in each other. She taught him how to grow and mature into a King that she and the people can respect. They were a power couple but couldn't have made it without A LOT of trust and respect in each other. They had amazing chemistry right from the beginning. I mean that kiss in the kitchen on the floor was ???? because so much tension had been built up already.

The side characters were amazing. I don't have any complaints about them. Some of my favorites were Eun Shi Kyung, the princess and the infamous John Mayer, even though I despised him for the things he did the actor playing him did an amazing job at portraying his character. But I think one character in particular deserves a shoutout: Lee Jae Kang. He was my favorite because of how supportive he was of his brother. He had such a kind heart and you could tell he really wanted the best for Lee Jae Ha. He wanted peace between both nations and just I loved his character. I don't want to get into his character too much because I might spoil some things but he's the type of brother I think everyone wants/needs in their life.

The storyline is unique to the other kdramas that I've watched and after all these years (7 years to be exact) it still remains one of my favorites and one of the most unique, amazing, gut-wrenching, and heart turning dramas I've watched. Every episode I was on the edge of my seat not knowing what to expect because there were so many twists and turns. While I disliked Lee Jae Ha's attitude at the beginning of the drama he really redeemed himself as the drama went on. The way he knew how to push John Mayer's buttons got me hollering at my phone screen saying, "YES!" "The password is one word. It's something I have but you don't..." and the message inside the box. *jaw dropping* But John Mayer's retaliation/s got me on the edge of my seat and I think once you watch this you'll never look at another villain the same. John Mayer almost puts other villains to shame. (Gah, what he did to the royal family though).

I cried like no other. It was a cry of agony, pain, and loss, something that I was shocked about how a kdrama could have such a strong impact on my emotions. I think that's why this drama was so good. They did an amazing job at getting you to connect and sympathize with the characters so when something dramatic happened you were right there with them crying when they were crying and laughing when they were laughing and cheering right along with them. A lot of events happened that when I look back I'm surprised they fit all of the events in just 20 episodes and STILL make it good.

Overall, if you like dramas that have fictional hints to it along with politics thrown in and some romance and comedy on the side I think you'll really enjoy this one. I do believe the romance was stronger than some believe but it wasn't the central part of the storyline and that's what makes it watchable. Politics is thrown in but it's understandable and you kind of get what's going on without understanding much about politics. I give this drama a 10/10. I knocked off half a point in the acting/cast only because of the foreigners they casted. Some of them were cringey and some of them were supposed to be American but had a foreign accent. However, overall, that wasn't enough to keep me from watching this drama. Seriously, give this drama a try!

This is one of those dramas that does such a wonderful job of writing the characters/storyline that you can't help but miss everything about them once it ends. I couldn't watch any other dramas for days after I finished this because I couldn't get this drama out of my mind. Aside from the friendship between the two leads, I absolutely enjoyed watching each character's story unfold. They each have a story to tell and I loved how it was told and then resolved. They each have a past, or some conflicts with their personal life and this B&B on the beach is - in a way - their safe haven from their troubles. I think we all kind of wish/hope we can experience something so carefree, happy, and loving like what the leads experienced on this beach and I think that's why this drama was so intriguing. The inn was the ideal place to stay. Nothing too stressful. You meet new people every day, you're next to the water all day, you have food to eat, and a nice group of people to call friends.

Not only that but I felt like I could relate to the characters, especially Kaito. He has a good job, a nice home, a beautiful girlfriend, and the "ideal" life yet can't help but feel like something's missing. He quits his secure (probably high salary paying) job to work part-time at the B&B. It might have been the stupidest thing he has ever done and he might even regret leaving his "perfect" life behind, but I think he saw what the B&B could provide and he saw a life worth living. This new life could be exactly what's right for him. It's not about having the perfect life but about living a life with no regrets and doing what's right for you even if that means leaving a secure life for one that's less secure but brings happiness to you.

This is a story about individuals who have lost their way in life and bond through their hardships. This is a story about friendships, family, relationships, pasts, hope, and summer, but most importantly it's about finding yourself. The OST is nostalgic and I can't help but listen to it every time I miss this drama. "Forever" is amazing and brings back so many feelings and emotions and just everything!

Definitely rewatchable! I highly recommend it. Just wish it was a little longer because I didn't want it to end!
