Great action thriller.
I stumbled on this show on Tubi (US ad support, free streaming channel). I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth watching, but since it had generally high ratings and had Ma Dong Seok in it, I figured I'd give it a try. Boy was I positively surprised. This show, although it's definitely showing it's age a little, did not disappoint. I'd say the action is almost as good as Bloodhounds. The story keeps you guessing until the last few episodes and even though I wasn't sure how invested I could get in a crew made up of hardcore criminals, but their character arcs were written in a way that made them rather likeable. It was actually the female cop who was the most annoying. Anyway, it's only 11 episodes, very entertaining, with each episode ending in a cliff-hanger. Be prepared to binge-watch for a few hours.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Great Show - Contrary to expectations.
Ok, I really liked this show!!!So while I do like most every genre of K-Drama, I prefer 사극 (historical k-dramas). That being said, the title and poster for this show in particular looked very "teen Disney-esque" and I hesitated watching it for a while. However, because I liked Ahn Bo Hyun in "Military Prosecutor Dobermann", and the ratings for this show seemed to be going up every week, I finally gave it a shot.
I wasn't convinced at first. The whole over the top rich guy act, the mall SWAT Team scene and a few other things had me very skeptical. But then it started to pick up steam and got better and better and better and - WOW!
The story was fleshed out nicely and you don't see the twist coming until the end. The acting was great and the character development was awesome. I really enjoyed how the team struggled initially but grew as a whole.
Can't wait for season 2

It had some solid parts...
This show had some solid parts and some great action scenes, but the story was way too drawn out. This could have easily been wrapped up in 12 episodes and it would have been much better. I also wasn't a big fan of the lead actress' constant emotional self doubt and back and forth. It got really old after a while. I get, that's what the story called for, but it just got old. Another bothersome aspect was the terrible English subtitles the Kocowa version had. The grammar was bad and even with my limited Korean skills I could make out the mis-translated parts. Overall, I think this show, if remade today on Netflix, would be absolutely awesome. It's still a worthwhile watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Looks dated now, but worth watching!
This show is definitely worth watching, if not for the great cast alone. I initially watched this show because of its extremely high ratings, but I dropped it after about two episodes and couldn't understand why my perception of the show was so different from the rating. After about a year, I decided to give it another go. Some of the things that bothered me originally still bothered me, but I warmed up to the show overall. Then it hit me, and here is my fair warning to anyone watching this for the first time: it's the Netflix/Disney budget effect! This show came out around 2016, before the huge rise of K-Drama on those platforms and the giant budgets that are now common, and it shows. While newer high-budget shows often look like 16-part movies, this has the look and feel of a TV show. Particularly, the military/war scenes are so cheap-looking compared to more modern-day stuff that it's ridiculous. However, once you ignore that part and remind yourself of the 2016 TV show aspect, you will really like the show. It has a very strong cast (Vincenzo, The Glory, Mr. Sunshine, etc.) and a very good story. It has drama, action, romance—you name it. Yes, it looks dated, but it's still a strong 8/10 on my scale.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Great thriller with surprising plot twist.
I got to admit, I wasn't sure about this show after the first two episodes. But once his it gets going, boy does it ever get good. Absolutely amazing, not to mention the plot twist in episode 16. Amazing show and most synopses don't do it justice.Cafe Minamdang (2022)

way better than I thought
after watching the first few episodes I didn't expect very much of this show. The story seemed ridiculous and it came across really campy and slapsticky. However, the characters totally roped me in and the story got really good. I ended up totally liking this show and am looking forward to season 2. ‐--------‐-----------------------------------------------------------------‐-----------------------------------------------------------------‐--------------------------------------------------------------------Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
