It's Not Bad....
I watched this Lakorn a few years ago...so things are a bit hazy. I just wanted to give a bit more context to ajyone considering this lakorn. It's not a bad show. If you love a bitter sweet romance, tortured hero, slap kiss, obsessed hero, or an intense romance then you'll absolutely love this one. I do and so this is a regular rewatch for me. And for those with genteel sensibilities then rest assured that there are no forced scenes between the pra'ek and nang'ek. And if that still doesn't convince you then move along...nothing to see here.

1. Acting: I found the intensity of the pra'ek(ml) to be oh so rewarding to my little 'obsessed hero' loving heart. I dont know about anyone else but I definitely prefer intense heroes. I could feel how conflicted he was between loving the fl, being disgusted and thankful at the same time towards his mother's lover, and wanting to protect his mom at the same time that his lover despised her for breaking up her own family. When his love for the fl won out over everything else early on in the series I was hooked.
B. Im not sure why anyone would dislike the nang'ek's acting. Sure she was pretty stiff most of the time, but pray tell how you'd feel if you found out that the woman responsible for your Mother's misery was your husband's mother and your father's mistress. I think she did a good job with the range of emotions/emotional state she went through from start to end. She definitely made me want to smack her a few times for holding on to her need for vengeance towards her hubby, but I got it. So, I'd say she did a good job.
C. The father's an asshole...enough said.
So he did a great job making me hate him.
D. I am semi conflicted about the mistress/mom. I CAN NOT stand her whiny ass, but surely you could understand the position she was in as her life is revealed in little flashbacks throughout. I think they did a good job with this slow revelation. I started sympathizing with her as a mother....just a little bit.
2. The Chemistry. You could tell the ml was highly attracted to his fl. The kisses weren't steamy but like I said, I live for an intense hero and his tortured hero bit works for me. So the kisses arent fiery, but the romance is, if that makes sense
3. The music worked for the series. Nothing that stands out too much but that definitely fits into the theme. Soft, anguished rock sounding music.
4. Storyline. I liked the drama of it all. If I was to characterize this in a Western mold I'd call it a Romantic Drama/melodrama.
Meaning a lot of stuff went down but the ml and fl ended up happy together in the end. But mostly the show focused more on being excessively sentimental and overly dramatic than anything else. If you're a fan of Lakorns then you'll understand. Storylines like these are why im mostly attracted to Lakorns. When I need a bit more substance and could probably withstand the uperlevel mental-ness (dont think thats a word) then I reach for a kdrama, which doesnt happen often honestly. If I'm feeling for a naughty or weird type of drama then I might watch jdramas. But I always start with a lakorn for this reason.
Dislike.
1. Where's. The.Karma -_-
Just 1...the father did not get what was coming to him. He got off way too light for someone who basically imploded his marriage and messed up the kids on both sides. Like he should be writhing in hades I find him so repugnant-_-
And 2...again, while i understood why any girl would be pissed that some other girl was seriously jerking around the guy you're interested in, that nang'rai deserved more karma is all I'm saying. Ill leave it at that.
Basically, if you're anything like me and you love your hero/ml with an intense obsession, and a heroine/fl who didnt back down from anyone, then you'll love this.
Give it a watch.
