I love this series so much. It was much more than a BL series in all honesty. I mean sure, most people came only for Alex and Benny and they are both my favorites don't get me wrong but the story line revolved around much more than just the lives of two guys whom themselves had a pretty heart wrenching story line. It's about friendship and being there for one another, it's about having the courage to stick up to your parents for you individuality and happiness while maintaining that bond. It's also about not always needing a lover to make you happy or doing something that you feel you should do just when you know that you don't want to.
The actors were amazing, the scenes portrayed a mundane feel. It's a great balance of serious, casual and comical. I would recommend this to a lot of people and i would love for it to have a season 2 if they decided on one.

Now the series itself: I love how this series actually is different from what I've been watching its so cute. A pet shop owner falling in love with an author and how their love transpires over the course of the series, it has a little fluffy tone to itself and it is a more fluff based series. The characters were very entertaining, the friendship inside all of it was really nice. Most BL series are high school, a little dark, and little weird and normally just end sad or have an overly gripping story line that yeah you can relate to but seems to become the same staple for a series/movies like how car accidents or getting ran over is the staple in most k-dramas, that doesn't mean that I'm dismissing those staples because many of great works have those. This story line is still relatable, the conflicts are what people have gone through, still go through, and is still alive with others today it. I love the rising actions that take place, I got irritated with Liang Ze of course because most bottoms bother me in BL stuff but his character is a little different than most bottoms. I love the dialogue it's lighthearted and fun, the music was well placed for certain scenes, flat out i would recommend this as a nice beak away from a very serious show that you may have watched.
Now I don't give it praise, but i cant bash it either. Definitely, I love the fact that it's lighthearted and that it ends on a sweet note : (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywqp4Ve7qX8) (I do apologize that this has no subs but it's the ending part where someone mentioned that this is one of the BL series that ends happy) but truthfully the reason why i wouldn't give it all 10's is because the story line was simplistic the scenes weren't edgy and it didnt have as many transitions that reopened some foreshadowing in the series to uncover tension or a surprise for the viewers but honestly you don't need that all the time; a simply, delightful story structure goes a long way people. The series is really sweet but not like Moon Lovers, it's not like Diary of Tootsies, it's a short collection of episodes that you can watch when you cant decide on what to watch. It's really cute but then again everyone this is just an overall outlook from my perspective, my opinions. Some from a collective selections of other reviews and my knowledge gained from watching the series.

Okay first off, huge thanks and Shout Out goes towards YoshihiroStepper for uploading the entire movie. Please go through his channel, he has so much content to offer that I'm still going through so definitely check it out.
Story~
Alright so lets get into the story. I knew from the beginning what this movie was going to be all about, or vaguely did, and it was exactly what it was from the trailers. An archery club, romance, and some conflict here and there. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, it was captivating from start to finish and even though i could watch the movie raw and still understand whats going on it was still good. The jist of the story is archery, romance, conflict, done, but there was so much more going in especially learning about Youta's mom and dad, the love between Youta and An and how it unfolded. The story is very simplistic yet captivating. It also had an incredible anime/manga feel to it. You could tell it was from a manga. I also can understand why it got 7.6 by most people that already watched the movie, because somethings just were not answered. Yuki is a big example. How did he get the illness, more about Yuki and Youta previously. More information about how everything happened with Youta and his parents like a flashback scene possibly. I would have like to have seen a love triangle between Youta, An and Kuwabara. He, to me, was attractive, I didn't get extreme SLS like I would with some Second Leads but he fit the bill and progressing through the movie you could tell that there was an opening for a love triangle or rather a rivalry to form and would have gave it a little more edge. I also wanted to know the place that Youta was at, i wanted to know more about the connection between the two. So there were a lot of pieces missing from this story that could have been filled. Maybe the main focal point of the movie was to revolve around Youta and An but it doesn't hurt to add a little more background story. Plus, how their love progressed was interesting to me, at first i thought it was going to be a slight controlling/toxic, then I thought it was really sweet and cute. He seemed to control the love between them until she was decided on her own whether she wanted this or not.
Acting/Actors~
The acting was really good. I could not find fault with the acting to be honest. One scene I did question (and laughed) but I wont spoil it for you guys its just later on in the movie. The acting was really good, the actors were spot on. I don't really have any disapproval's.
Music~
This was one of my most favorite things out of this entire movie. That music was channeling John Williams "Memoirs of a Geisha" vibe. One sound in particular you would think that it was from Memoirs of a Geisha. The music was good, it was not weird or out of place. It fit the subtly of the story.
Re-watch~
Would I re-watch it, definitely. Maybe not 10 or 15 times but yes i would re-watch it. Would i recommend it, yes. Its not actiony, so for some it maybe a little boring, but for something subtle definitely.
Overall~
Overall, it was good. It wasn't actiony, so it maybe boring to some. It wasn't mushy, even though i love a good mushy gushy romance, it was subtle and it was love. I really enjoyed that aspect. There were some things missing that could have been fixed and somethings that could have been added but through it all it was a complete romance and I liked it and encourage other people to watch it and give their thoughts.

Okay, it was another "artistic" speak by expression and silence and small dialogue that's suppose to be "moving." I've seen this in so many BL movies that it didn't ruin it for me, i went in partially blind, but its repetitive. The, "I speak by expression and scenes to make myself artistic" most people get tired of it. I felt the movie was sub-par, there were some scenes that had me wanting characters to get into a relationship, and the end scenes made my jaw drop. Those came out of left field, for me. I think most people would say, "I had a feeling this was going to happen" and based on the trailer I knew what the movie was gong to be about, or remotely knew, but I wasn't expecting that. And one character i did feel a connection, because even though he didn't say anything in the scene you understood that he was lonely. To me this movie is like a shorter, different version of "Butterfly," which was good but cliche and i wanted more from this movie.
If you click here you can watch the movie, that way everyone can give a review and and comment a little more on this:

-But from the 3 i could at least say it was kind of okay. One of the series you wouldn't mind missing a few episodes but it was good. i know one comment i read said "Just because it's BL it's not awesome by default. I won't miss it! The series kept me tied to my chair for ALL the wrong reasons, I had the impression I was watching a generic latino melodrama from the 90', a bad one...
... the rowdy "cool" girl was annoying as beep!
... no BL, no kissing, no lovu-lovu up to ep 3. note: the 3rd's the last
... were you supposed to laugh? Like, the jokes and puns, umm...my old dog is funnier, mind you he's worn out by life and disease. haha....cough...ha.
Although many say its cute. Gone to soon, hopefully there will be more, you see that there are some mixed reviews but in all it was really ... just okay (my opinion). The actors were sexy and the puns were kind of hit and miss.

This movie was and is beautiful. I was prepared for a 2 hour long movie but i wasn't prepared for that 2 hour long movie. I think that i mostly was captivated by it because there were definite things that I picked up in the movie. I liked the actors and the acting, i love how it was based off true events that did happen, mostly i loved the message of this movie. I t makes me think of my first love then it makes me think of the guy that i dated after him who was as sweet as Hiro.
It's going to be different for everybody but one of the things that made me cry, besides certain parts, was that everything he's ever done was for her, and you'll have to watch it to understand what i mean. And it'll break your heart because the love is so beautiful and to just to love wholeheartedly. At first "A Werewolf Boy" made me cry my eyes out but this touched a little closer to home.
I don't normally stress recommendation to people about certain shows but this movie is something you want to introduce your guardians to, your siblings, your teacher, anybody really. I know i am. Cause it's tragedy and it will only make you feel pain and happiness (if you have a lover make them watch it too).
To me it deserves a 10/10 because not many movies make me cry and those that do must really know how to tear at your hearts. Your going to ugly cry people, but you'll always want to have your own copy of this movie whenever you need a really good cry.
