The story itself was captivating and touching at times, I really saw myself sucked in around episode 3 or 4. At first I thought of it as a light drama but as the episodes go by you start to see the depth of the characters and their development through the years that go by. I thing the main thing that I really loved about this drama was how different the characters were, each character represented a different kind of desperation that people go through whether it's the struggle that one goes through to do what they love, the thought of giving up what one loves for an easier path in life, is escaping reality really an option, is this really fate and many other thoughts that we all go through at some point in life . At some point this drama stopped being a romance drama but more of a drama that I can relate to. It did have some boring parts which is unavoidable at some point but it still held my interest and I did get annoyed at some of the decisions hat were taken by the characters but thats the beauty of dramas. I wont say that I'm content with the ending but somehow trying my best to tell myself that I understand the meaning behind it, think that after watching dramas for too long I started to expect endings to be happy or at least give some hop but in real life such things don't happen.
I honestly can't praise the cast enough for this drama, I know that they aren't as famous but they did an amazing job and I was impressed at so many points throughout the drama.

The way both main characters were portrayed just made it so easy for the watcher to enjoy it ... enjoy love .. enjoy the feeling of being in love.
There were many aspects that I loved in this drama because they relate to life in general, the first being overbearing and controlling parents who think they have the right to be in control of their Childs life just because they gave birth to them .. It's a simple subject yet somehow this is the first drama that did it in such a real way to the point that it hurts. and resonates with the watcher, instead of other dramas that constantly make it seem like a cliche.
Going back to the main couple, I just like how strong they both are and how the writers were not afraid to show how different they are ... Sometimes they couldn't understand each other but that was okay because thats how reality is ..
If you are into fast plots and detest slow moving story then I wouldn't recommend this.

Don't let the reviews trick you into watching this
I felt like it was needed to write this review in the sea of positive reviews on this site because I was tricked into watching this really bad series where the only reason I kept watching is because everyone said that it gets better .. Shockingly (not really) it doesn’t, so here we goThe series is about Toh who is stalking (and yes I do call it stalking because what he did is not the same as having a crush on someone) Nuea who is a star player of the basket ball team, somehow through I don’t know what they end up together and their friendship group somehow one by one end up together.
In theory this shouldn’t be this bad but I think I just could not get over the normalization of stalking in this series, its not cute at all and I found it cringy and creepy most of the time. You’d think by the end that Toh would learn that whatever he did was wrong however Nuea justified his unhealthy obsession and fed into it.
To add on that the show was littered with cringy, creepy, unnecessary not funny jokes left and right that I could not really take anything seriously which maybe is what the writers are going for but I just felt like I was -.- the whole time. I stuck around till the last episode and I felt like it was truly a big waste of my time. In all honesty I thought that both Nuea and Sky were pulling a prank and had a whole bet on who would sleep with the guys first but I guess my brain was trying to make the whole situation make sense.
While I’m at it just wanted to give a quick shoutout to Sky and Jao for actually being cute in this series and having good character development and story. I did like the casting if Nuea, I think the actor did well for what he had to work with. I really didn’t like Toh at all, maybe its because I hate the character but I could not stand looking at him at all.
To anyone who asks why I finished it, I’m like this .. I never drop series, if I start I have to finish no matter what torture I have to go through

The writer tried to play on the viewer’s judgment of character but it failed to impress. Instead of focusing on character progression, they decided to do a complete 360 on two of the characters which could have been executed well if we could see the progression of this change instead of just throwing it out there in one episode. They try to salvage their mistakes later but it still somehow leaves a bad taste.
One of the main downfalls of this drama for me was the concept of depression, I don’t think the writer understands what “Chronic depression” is, I don’t recall them mentioning in the beginning so when it was brought up I was shocked, the character did not show any signs of depression in the beginning other than having some flashbacks so it was not anticipate it at all. (Also if you are triggered by such subjects please do refrain from watching as this topic is continued for a couple of episodes).
Another thing that I did not enjoy is the main female character. The writers tried to make her appealing by having her portray the innocent naïve girl who sees the good in everyone EXCEPT her boyfriend which is frustrating, it seemed like every single moment where he needed her to be by his side, she would either not trust him or completely support the person whom he is opposing. Honestly it was infuriating to see her laughing and having a good time knowing that her lover was in a bad state. Throughout the whole drama you are left to question her judgment and it’s quite frustrating.
On a more positive note, I really did like the friendship between Shang Bo Ran and Wang Xing Ren. You can see that Wang Xing Ren cares a lot for Bo Ran and it was quite fun to see them bickering. There are also many scenes where you see how they depend on each other and I enjoyed that a lot.

Disappointed
I think the description of the drama was a bit misleading but let's talk about it.The drama follows Sang Qi who wants to follow her brother's wishes to attend the Imperial College; I think that's where the drama should have stayed and focused on. The name of the drama is A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College so they should have based the drama on her struggles as a female attending the Imperial College because in that time and place there could have been so many things to address and so many situations to speak about. Like, this could have symbolized that women are capable of learning and aspiring to be more than what society sees them as BUT the whole time she makes trouble, acts stupid, and proves that she does not deserve to be there. I think this was a missed opportunity.
Plot-wise, I did not care about any other character other than Zhuo Wen Yuan, I think he had a solid character from start to finish and I really liked him despite him being portrayed as the "bad guy". Honestly, this dude has been there for Sang Qi since day one, helping her, being by her side, literally doing EVERYTHING for her but you know what she does, throws all that out the window for a dude who did nothing other than being her brother's bestie ... I don't understand, SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED.
Anyway, this whole drama made me so mad, I literally skipped through the last 15 episodes because they were useless.

Not what I was expecting
I started this show because of the insane hype around it, I’ve been binging a ton of BL series over the past few months and this is one of the series that everyone recommended to watch. So let’s start with this review. The Plot (too many things thrown around in 8 ep)
It starts out with Yai and Mangkorn being rivals or so thought Yai in the beginning somehow they end up spending the night together and their story starts there where he finds out that Mangkorn is interning at the place that is renovating the bar his father owns.
Anywho … this drama doesn’t explore any aspect of these points, they were rivals for an ep and a half. The intern situation was not clear TBH, like they barely showed the work and the process to creat depth but oh well, the whole family situation (step mother in the picture, mother passing away and the whole arraigned marriage) went by in a flash and didn’t help at all in giving more depth.
They could have done a lot with the plot they had but my biggest issue is the fact that the whole tone of the show sifts drastically, I didn’t get how Yai went from very cool and smooth to cute and soft by the end, same goes for Mangkorn, yes I understand they changed and matured but still its a jarring change I guess, maybe I’m picky.
Anyway, I came in thinking this is a very dark vibe and cool style and ended up with cuteness which I do like but yeah. Unexpected, but I liked it anyway.
Great casting and the music is great I will give them that.
Big props for the filming crew because the cinematography is absolutely stunning throughout the whole series.

I will absolutely miss everyone
"We Are คือเรารักกัน (We Are, Just Love)" is a series that feels like a warm hug, quickly becoming one of my current favorites. Saying goodbye to it leaves me with a such an empty feeling as if parting with long-time friends. The plot primarily revolves around Peem and Phum's journey from enemies to lovers, while also exploring the lives of other characters like Q and Toey, Fang and Tan, and many more. Set against the backdrop of college life, it beautifully captures the essence of growing friendships in college. The simplicity of the series is its charm making it easy to fall in love with every character. The acting performances are commendable across the board, each actor bringing authenticity to their role and they truly imbodied their characters. Every episode leaves you satisfied yet craving more.
The stylistic choices of the show, including cinematography, pacing, and script, are particularly enjoyable. The cinematography captures the youthful spirit of the characters and their surroundings, while the pacing keeps the story engaging without rushing important moments. The script is heartfelt and genuine, adding depth to the characters' relationships and emotions.
Overall, 'We Are คือเรารักกัน' is a feel-good series that induces giddiness and warmth. It's a delightful blend of romance, friendship, and the trials of young adulthood, leaving a lasting kinda nostalgic impression . Highly recommended for anyone looking to be swept away by a series that feels like a comforting embrace without any stress other than friends being idiots.
