After watching Flower Ever After a year or two years ago, I've always been on the lookout for a season two because of the Choi-Go couple AND NOW FINALLY PLAYLIST GLOBAL RELEASED A SERIES OF THEIR OWN!!! Although it was only brief, the writers managed to tie up the loose ends from FLEVA and give a reasonable and well thought of ending for this couple. Through this mini-series, the viewers are introduced to Minchae and Woong's family members and the dynamics of their relationships. There were problems in the families but I love how they resolved the conflicts in a peaceful and justifiable manner. Minchae and Woong's characters also developed both as individuals and as a couple. They were still cute but now more mature and really handle their problems head on. They even made a way to make their wedding theirs and fit their budget even if they wanted something more extravagant. All throughout the series, I kept holding my breath for their ending because I was honestly scared it wouldn't work out for them but I'm glad it did. They still had the same sparks as they did before and THEY JUST GIVE ME ALL THE FEELS BECAUSE THE ACTORS' CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE ROOF!!! They were able to pull off and show their characters' relationship not just in the sweet parts but also in the heartbreaking parts. Overall, it truly was the best ending for this couple <3 Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

This story is pretty light but very enjoyable. I especially liked the characters and how they were all independent but are aware that no man is an island. Each of the six main characters were relatable at one point and you could really understand where they were all coming from. Their maturity and individual decisions were also well thought of and contributed greatly to their character development. The friendship stories in this drama were definitely worth exploring more though. It's what made me want to know more about the characters themselves. As for the love stories, I loved 2 out of the 3 of them. The three couples had very different stories from one another - one from a long term relationship moving on to the next step, one evolved from a physical relationship to a romantic one, and one developed from an arranged marriage to a natural one. I loved the ending of the main leads' love story because they were very character-like of them so the consistency was pleasing. They were able to be individuals and a couple at the same time which really reflects the generations now as well. I also liked how each of them made the other develop more as a person. The second leads also had a sweet ending because they both excelled in their respective fields while supporting one another and thus becoming more successful. It was with the third leads I was not so satisfied with. I understand their sacrifices with one another but I guess for me the relationship didn't seem healthy for the both of them anymore. It must be the strong feelings and loyalty they had for one another that made the relationship work so I'm still happy for them.
Overall a light drama that will open your eyes to different types of relationships and make you reflect on the idea of openness and communication when in a relationship.

I loved the sense of friendship and family in this drama. I love how each character was there for one another despite their own struggles and fights among themselves. It also broke my heart when their college life was already over and when the boarding house finally ended its business. Each character's ending was what was best for them, I believe. The character development wasn't huge or great but each of them changed in their own ways and owned up to their own struggles and paths. The best thing about this batch of friends was that the viewer also felt welcome and on a journey with them as well which was comforting.
I am one of those few who is actually satisfied with the ending of the main love story. I don't know why but there just seemed more sparks between the final couple so it made sense. But the last few moments leading to the ending definitely had me on the edge of my seat because I might be mistaken and was scared for the couple I rooted for.
Like every Reply series, it is full of realizations and quotations about life. That's what I love best about these series. Even if I watched it last, it's definitely my second rank!

The stories of every case that the legal team had to face and how they reflected their personal lives was smooth and helped in the character development of each one. The character development of each and every character was also clear and evident from the main ones to the supporting ones. The viewer will be able to witness the characters' views get shaken and shifted which make them grow as a person/character or even break them. Every decision each character made was reflected in how their story concluded in the series. Bad decisions that only protected one's self interest and desire for power eventually led to the downfall of these characters. I especially liked how the older generation also grew because of the younger generation - they realized that their ways were not working anymore and were enlightened by the new ones leaving them reassured of a better future.
Each episode had a distinct issue they wanted to emphasize. Not every issue was resolved they way we would want it to be but they were surely loyal to how the law would have it. Sure, sometimes they favored the less powerful or less privileged but they made sure that the other side was also explained so that both sides of the story can be seen. What is consistent with every case though is that it showed that every human being has a good side and that we are all just struggling in life. It also displayed how sympathy plays a big role in living life as human beings and being kinder to one another. Not to mention the idea that every person also breaks at some point. But most of all, it resonated with hope.
As an Infinite fan, I am definitely proud of L (Kim Myungsoo) in this drama because it shows his growth as an actor. Besides his cute soft moments, I especially liked his fierce angry scenes because it showed his duality and versatility as an actor. Some moments were still awkward and need improvement to be more natural but the thing with L is, is that he is continuously learning and improving so I have no doubt he will do better in his next project.
This drama is definitely one that made me more aware of myself as a human being. It isn't a light one but there are light moments despite the heavy ones which just goes to show how life really is and that every human being goes through something similar.
