Crime solving themed mini-show with midiocre acting
This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is crime solving and the case is interesting. The short format makes the show feel rushed.Character wise: FL is a clever woman and ML is shrewd and smart.
Acting wise this is not that good. It affects the overall experience of the show but it doesn’t ruin it. Watch it for the crime solving and not the acting.
Frankly, you won't miss anything if you skip this show.
Anyway, if you like a mini show with crime solving themes and only a viff or romance, this is an ok watch.

Sweet and lighthearted mini-show for a rainy day
This is a nice mini-show. The storyline has nothing new but it’s sweet. Since it’s a mini-show we get these jumps in the story and the coherency is pretty challenged - like their love that goes from 0 to 100 in a split second. It’s not to the point of confusion but still.Acting wise: Even if the story is sweet, they should have found actors that were more comfortable with kissing. The kisses seem awkward and nothing more than pecks on the lips. Often we get these angled “kisses” - and why still so shy when they supposedly have already had sex? Another thing that annoys me is that FL believes some stranger telling her something bad about ML and she doesn’t even ask him about what’s true. Immature.
In terms of chemistry, there isn't much between ML and FL. They are not bad actors but they are not able to fake an interest in each other.
Well, if you like something lighthearted and easy to predict, this is an ok watch.

Nice movie with a Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibe
This is a nice movie. Even if there isn’t much new in the storyline - except for the snake - it's actually entertaining.Character wise I love that FL and ML are equally strong and skilled in martial arts. They complement each other even if they start off as enemies. Their love story is sweet but kind of underdeveloped.
Acting wise this is ok. Not great but not bad either. The leads are a bit stiff. Not that iit ruins the movie though.
So, if you like a nice romantic martial arts movie, this is actually worth watching.

Typical rich man/poor girl story
This is an ok snort show. The storyline isn’t new in any way but it’s interesting enough.Character wise we have this FL that is a strong and capable secretary, at least in the beginning, because after she falls in love that somehow changes and FL becomes a kind of damsel in distress. That happens often in Chinese dramas. ML starts off as a playboy but soon falls in love and starts to behave himself.
Acting wise this is only mediocre and there is a tendency to over-acting. It doesn’t ruin the show but it affects the overall quality.
So, if you like a short show with a nice love story, this is an ok watch.

Nice mini-show with a good revenge-plot and a bit of time-travel
This is a really nice mini-show. The storyline is interesting since there is a small time-travel theme where FL gets to go back in time and change what happened to her the first time. There is a bit of mystery, revenge, scheming and of course love. I rather enjoyed it.Character wise there were developments shown for both FL and ML. From enemies to lovers done realistic and not too rushed even if the short format often has that downside.
Acting wise it wasn’t that great but not anywhere near bad enough to ruin the show. Maybe the editing had something to do with it, because it felt like some scenes were left out or shortened making it feel a bit “jumpy” - especially the start of the show.
Anyway, if you like a good revenge-plot with a nice love story, this is well worth watching.

Ok mini-show in a game-setting
This is an ok mini-show. The storyline that tells a story about a woman who enters a game and has to complete her mission(s) in order to escape, isn’t exactly new but it is fairly interesting. Only problem is that the format with very short episodes and some plot holes makes it feel rushed and low budget (and not in the good way).Character wise: FL is a bit too childish especially in the first 4-5 episodes before improving. ML is actually kind of cute but it is unrealistic for him to start liking someone who treated him like that.
Acting wise there is room for improvement even if it wasn’t that bad. The chemistry between the main leads is ok but not that good. Perhaps because of the rush.
Anyway, if you have some time to waste and like the game-setting, this is an ok watch.

More rubbish but slightly more interesting
This season is a little bit better than season 1. The storyline is slightly more interesting and the main leads are together (in love) but still arguing.Since there are a lot of unsubbed and sound free parts in the first half of the version on Youtube, the dialogue is sometimes impossible to follow (I’m not Chinese). As in season 1 the subtitles are very poor and often make no sense.
All the eating and cooking is still too much. It already got boring during season 1.
Acting wise there is a small improvement since new characters are added.
The ending is open like season 1 but frankly, I really don’t care if it’s ever made.
If you don’t mind wasting your time, this is an ok watch.

Low quality but ok storyline
This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is quite simple but it’s interesting enough. Only problem is that the short format leaves some holes in the story and there are some odd jumps where it seems that there are scenes missing. Scenes that would tie the story better together.Acting wise this isn’t top notch but it isn’t that bad either.
Since there is a season 2 available I'm going to watch it and hope that it's better than this. Frankly I fear it might not be but at least I expect to get an (hopefully) happy ending.
So, if you like a short show with a somewhat interesting story, this is an ok watch.

Could have been a great love story, but.....
This is an ok mini-show. The numbers say that the episodes are 15 min and there are supposed to be 30. I don’t know where the fault lies but the compressed movie-version is only 1 hour and 11 minutes long.The storyline is interesting and the reason I ended up watching. Sadly there is not enough happening, so the show ends up feeling a bit bland. At least it has a happy ending.
Acting wise there is room for improvement. ML is rather stiff even if his facial expressions are fine. The chemistry between the couple is almost non-existent and the transitions between some of the scenes are a bit odd - like the editing (into a movie-version) is too poorly done (since it is a mini-show that is most likely what happened).
Anyway, if you watch it for the kind of interesting alien story, this is an ok watch.

Interesting fast paced mini-show
Contains a small spoiler at the end of the review…..This is a nice mini-show. The storyline is quite simple and the show is fast paced due to the short format.
Character wise:
FL is a strong witch who wants to help ML find a jade pendant and then become his wife. ML is a weak noble man who wants to find his family’s heirloom at any cost.
Acting wise this is pretty good given the hardship the actors face when acting within this limited time frame.
So, if you love a good fast paced mini-show - with an interesting storyline - this is actually worth watching.
SPOILER ALERT…….
Prepare for an ending that might not be totally satisfying for you if you are like me and love happy endings.

Underrated small in-game mini-show
This is a sweet and cute mini show with an interesting storyline. A small gem in my opinion. Despite the short format, it doesn’t feel rushed.Character wise:
FL is a sweet and cute young woman who falls into a game. There she takes the identity of a female assassin from an enemy state who comes to marry the Prince. But getting to know her target, make her change her mission.
ML is a Prince and the assasination-target, and marriage partner, of FL. As he gets to know FL he realizes that she is not the spy he thought.
Acting wise this is pretty good. The actors do a very good job within the limited timeframe.
Well, if you love a fast paced, sweet and romantic mini show - with an interesting storyline - this is definitely well worth watching.

Small dream/transmigration-story with interesting storyline
This is one of these small gems I sometimes stumble upon. The storyline is quite simple and the characters are interesting. Even if it is short, it doesn’t feel rushed. Well except for the ending that could have been a little longer.Character wise:
FL is a peppy and sweet modern day woman who falls asleep in an elevator while being stuck. She dreams of transmigrating into ancient times where she is a courtesan.
ML is a nice and clever doctor with a hidden identity and mission.
Acting wise this is very good and all the actors do a great job with their characters within the limited timeframe.
So, if you love dream/transmigration-stories with interesting storylines and a good love story, this is definitely well worth watching.

Silly mini-show with interesting storyline
This is a borderline silly mini-show. The storyline is interesting since it’s about 3 people from our time that somehow enters a play they are filming. In the alternate world they have acquired martial arts skills. Their only way of returning to real life again seems to be winning a competition and obtaining the legendary sword Si Yun.Character wise we have this female actress (FL) who is a real badass and a male actor (ML) who is handsome but not that strong. Beside those two we have the female movie-investor (2FL) who is crazy about ML.
Acting wise this is not top shelf but the actors are sweet and try to pull off these comical characters. The exaggerated gestures and somewhat cringe acting lowers the rating a bit. I believe the directing is the reason it comes off as silly since I’ve seen the acting skills of some of the actors before.
Anyway, if you like something fast and funny - and don’t mind the silliness - this is an ok watch.

Cliché romantic mini-show with a bit of a confusing ending.
This is a nice mini-show. The storyline is quite cliché with the usual rich man/poor girl, fake marriage, forced marriage, parents meddling, pestering/evil rich girl, nice 2ML and so on. So nothing new here. As in many shows of this short format, there are some jumps in the story. With that said it is actually entertaining enough.Character wise we have the usual characters. FL is kind but weak and ML is strong but under a lot of pressure. Their fake marriage turns into love but their surrounding keeps meddling and trying to separate them.
Acting wise this is actually rather good for a mini-show.
Anyway, if you like a nice mini-show with a somewhat (a bit confusing) happy ending, this is well worth watching.

A Burning Desire to Wreak Revenge

Good reborn/revenge-plot with a solid storyline
This is a really nice reborn/revenge-plot story that might have a simple storyline but contains all the ingredients it needs.Character wise:
The Second Prince is a ruthless and power hungry man that will stop at nothing (including eliminating his brothers) to become Crown Prince and later ascend the throne.
FL is the daughter of a powerful General and the obvious choice for the Second Prince to marry - and in her first life he does, since FL sacrifices her own happiness for her family.
The Emperor’s Nephew is a warm and caring man who grew up with and loves FL wholeheartedly. He will stop at nothing in order to protect FL - even at the cost of his own life.
Acting wise this is very good and the actors do a fantastic job with their characters.
Well, if you love a good reborn/revenge-plot with a solid storyline, this is definitely well worth watching.
