The unexpected golden drama you're looking for
Almost dropped this drama for the confusing first 20 minutes, but I'm glad I gave it another chance. The quality of this show is top-notch, they didn't drag the plot lines at all, they didn't overdo the romantic sweetness so every scene was naturally cute, every character was different and has an impact on the storyline. The first thing you'll realize about this Drama is the amazing chemistry between the two leads. It's funny to say, but I was actually impressed with the fist hugging scene the leads had and think to myself "that is such a great and fitting hug". Yes, I love every single hug they did in this show. I was not familiar with both of the two main actors, yet I find them instantly great as CP.
Plot-wise, it has your average recipe of contemporary dramas, childhood friendships, living together, a love triangle, and a more successful male lead. But what's great is that the scriptwriter did a very good job making these cliches tropes to be very natural, every romantic scene doesn't have that "added sweetener" to it, has no cringey "breakup before ending" plots and the character was made believable as everyday ppl you see. Also, this show has a great second plots couple or side story that doesn't take too much time and actually has an influence on the main story.
So character-wise, they made the leading lady far from your "innocent and too nice almost dumb" type of figure. Her lines always have great comebacks, and male leads showed great development as they undergo the relationship.

Because love has no disability
The first thing I noticed while watching is the great production value. Because the male lead is partially blind, the cinematography did a great job using lights, sounds, and angles for us viewers to see the details of what our male lead may go through. The story is heartwarming and simple, a girl who fell in love at first sight with a blind man who doesn't believe he deserves love. With her dream to become a radio host, and his occupation as a songwriter, their encounter doesn't feel forced. The storyline itself is enjoyable to watch because their progress in falling in love is also in line with their character development.
Sang Wu Yan (female lead) is your typical likable and full of spirit character who can be a bit dense when it comes to herself, you can't help but like her. Su Nian Qin (male lead) is that perfect male character that doesn't want to be bothered... well, at first. When you started to know his warmth and vulnerable side, even the smallest smiles become way precious. As someone who is not familiar with Evan Lin, I must say I was impressed by him a lot throughout his scenes. The two actors really make a great pair.
Too bad, all these good things started to turn the other way around when the writer tries to go dark with the plots but keeps bringing your cliches storyline into it (misunderstandings, breakups, CEO male lead, jealousy). So I do admit I lost interest for the last few episodes and skip most through it, especially the second couple who I think has no value to the actual plot.
But I do admit it's still enjoyable to watch. You rarely get drama plots with a character who has a disability, and if you're used to cliches, the last half of the drama is pretty bearable and kinda cute in a way, plus the OSTs are also good. So do I recommend this drama? Yup

Good for free time watch experience
the drama is really nice, the casting is perfect, the interaction between the couple together is very natural and freaking adorable, and it's nice to see their relationship and chemistry grow. If only the writers put more attention to the ending and gave us more lovey-dovey scenes because along with the drama, there are times where problems get a bit draggy (but still bearable).overall, it's an unexpected nice teenage romance. It has nice ost, it's not too cheesy, the plot is not overly cliche~ I actually enjoyed this a lot (watched this like one year ago actually).... and that's from me who rarely finished teenage c-dramas:p

When an adaptation done well
This drama just turned one of the scariest fantasy-romance plots to me, into something so beautiful. I mean... almost every scary presumption that we had in the original Korean movie was straightened out by this drama, especially when Se Gye realizes the beauty of her own curse, the universe chose her because somehow she was the only one who can pull it of while helping other lives. I didn't even think that far.Everything about this show is very progressive.
⚬ Character-wise, this drama is just full of strong independent women!!! yet not even one obnoxious lead dude!! Ugh, I love this. Not to forget that there are no unimportant supporting roles, everyone had an influence for the main story to grow.
⚬ Story-wise, it was impressive how they didn't drag anything, instead, they brought up the new matters to the table and let the characters develop each episode. Se Gye changing into a boy for the first time finding herself the joy of being someone else, changing into a kid and learn new stuff about her mom while helping the other mother, changing into an ahjumma to let her mom know the truth in the piece, changing into an elderly and let Soe Do Jae learn that he can love her even like that. Everything was impactful.
⚬ Plot twist-wise, I was a bit pissed on the "runaway" cliche, but I do think it's necessary, to shift the story from regret into relief. Plus, Seo Hyun Jin is so good, that I still cry when they break up when I obviously know that they will go back together?
There is nothing I can hate about this drama..... The amazing siblings chemistry, the unbelievable convincing couple of Se Gye & Do Jae, the adorable not so naive couple Eun Ho & Sa Ra, the comical frenemies duo of Woo Mi & Joo Hwan, our lovely King Kang, and all of that equipped with witty dialogues, basically we just finished watching a bomb a** freakin good drama!!! I can't wait to see more of their project in the future❤ ♡ ♥

When complex drama have comedy genre in it
Are you a fan of historical (Sageuk) kdramas? If not, did you not watch it because you can't stand the costume and the way they talk? (It's ok btw^^)
But are you curious why some of us really enjoy that genre?
Well good news, because this show has every aspect of a Sageuk drama pact in a present storyline!!!!
This show was well put together and had a grand scale, it was even bigger (for me) than Princess Hour or The King 2 Hearts who had a similar plot where Korea is a constitutional monarchy country. Everything about this drama was intense, the family storyline, the romance, the political views, and even the crimes. YET, while I was watching, I was not surprised with any of the story, then I realized....... This show basically had almost every plot twist a historical period drama used to give us. So..... enjoy the ride for the newcomers!! And let's have fun for us veterans lol^^

The exact meaning of The Right Person at The Wrong Time
A lighthearted romance sci-fi genre turns to a very complex and deep storyline. The story started from 2 different timelines colliding with each other when the male lead tries to get the best version of the future by slightly changing his past. You get the best of both worlds of 2 different types of romance, the very innocent and charming coming of age story and a more mature adulthood type of story. It is far from your typical cliches plots, the romance is naturally adorable, and the male lead is not your everyday obnoxious character. It's a fun drama in the beginning, but it will get on your feels as it starts to bring more depth to the story. Other side characters also bring warmth and have an impact on the main story. You can tell it's a great show by watching the first few episodes.
The concept of this drama is an amazing idea, the story, the scriptwriting, the acting, the chemistry, most of it was excellent, but there is a lot of back and forth between the 2 timelines that it feels like ur watching two different shows at once. It gets pretty confusing throughout the middle of the show. The writer still did a pretty good job "explaining" how the logic works tho, so it's easy to make sense of it.
Overall, it's still a good watch. I had a great time guessing the unexpected plots. The two leading actors were amazing convincing us to be the age of 18 and 31 at once. I'm glad to find 2 new actors I'm not really familiar with. Would I recommend this to others? Yes.

Cliché-tropes of 2000s filled with sugar-coated and unrealistic scripwriting
Even tho dramas are created full-on out of fiction, there are already many dramas that pulled off a more realistic approach to romance and even job fields. But the amount of plots that just don't make sense here is unbearable (for me).I've been watching k/c/j-dramas for 13 years, and I can tell you I would love this show if I was back in middle school, when I was blind to what workspace is and full of fantasy in relationships because this show checked almost every. single. cliche. list. I could ever accounter in 1 drama. If you're into that, good for you, you would love this show. No need to read the rest of the review.
Sometimes old-school drama formula full of cliches can actually be nice with a more logical script, situation, and good acting, the one that is top on my head is Secretary Kim, which pulls off this concept pretty well. But this show has poor scriptwriting which you can tell they did too little research in the job fields, a lot of plots that come and goes filled with plot holes, and average acting skills with both lead characters.
I finished this, and I guess if you are new to the dramaland, I can see why this show is for you but at the same time, I want to assure my long-time drama viewers that you are not missing out on anything by not watching this show.
