When I started watching I wasn't sure I would like it because it was so dark. Then as the story moved on and the characters fleshed out I found myself connecting in places I thought I wouldn't. The characters grew through their pain and their interactions with one another and the ending was fulfilling. The main character actors were wonderful and believable through every circumstance.
