Both are Chinese historical (war) dramas.
Stories are also quite similar and both about a woman fighting against the Japanese.
Cinematography is not the best, but typical of most Chinese dramas shot during this period (2005-2015). Out of the two, I did like Arrows on the Bowstring more, but both are worth watching if you like these type of stories.

Same FL,
Similar story with regards to being falsely accused and loosing her child while in prison
YB is better than LAL, in my opinion, but too long (100+ episodes).
Great acting in both drama.

Great acting in both drama.
Both stories have a war background in which lead actresses are skilled in gunnery.
YNS is based on a true story. The acting and cinematography are very good in this drama too.

The plot is similar; kid abduction to force the mother (here a famous radio broadcaster) to comply to the kidnaper's demands on air and also with a fast pace. Great movie!
