Cringe, plot holes but interesting story
This is one of those dramas that had me multitasking to avoid beeing annoyed by the many moments of cringe, it is a lso a drama that may just may give you SLS.However, there are a bunch of cute cats the female lead (both old and young) is really cool and found family friendships for as far as they eye can see... Almos (only almost) makes up for it. But the Chemistry between the leads is kind of off, but I do like the cast as well as seeing people that are not so young take the lead in this. However while the agism is adressed interestlingly here there is some pretty blunt fatshaming so be were. Also most of the twist were predictable there where a few that caught me slightly off guard, not so much the person but the motiv, something that is pretty rare in ks these days.
The OST is nice, some of it reminds me of Rickey Martins - living la vida loca, but the rest is nice.
An okay watch, but nothing I would recommend

Beautiful and meeh
This is a movie that has beautiful people, beautiful people and a hint of nostalgia but not much more. As the story is a bit slow paced and sweet yet lacks that little extra something (other than the leads) to make it stick out from the many movies and dramas that tell a similar story. While it does have a little something that I personally appreciate seeing mentioned on screen, I find myself conflicted about how that special something is showen or more like ignored and only mentioned very briefly. Is it too briefly or is the little bit it is mentioned just enough to make it part of the plot that does not outshine the human behind it...Sorry for not writing what that something is, but I fear it could be a spoiler for some, if you watch this then keep an eye out for how little screen time a major part of the plot actually gets and everything I just wrote will make sence (if not feel free to ask).
I am not really sure what the message here is, and even if I did I am pretty sure it could be my nemesis healing and stuff... But all in all a beautiful watch worth it if not for anything else than for Greg Hsu and all the beautiful, talented screen time with him this movie offers.

Stil a classic but slightly more draggy than part one
Part two of the same classic, that I guess pretty much everything I wrote about in part one could easily be pasted in to. However this part is slightly more draggy, repetitive, and less entertaining than part one so I decided to rate this slightly lower than the first part.That said, I do recommend watching both parts for som context and understanding of dramaland.
That said, the risk for SLS raises in this one, and the kisses lack passion.

A classic
How does one rate such a classic?To be honest it is not actually any good, and the male lead and his family have more red flaggs than red roses are handed out on valentines day (world wide). Yet still I have to recommend this to all drama fans, for its entertainment value as well as being the mother of oh so many dramas...
Easy to watch, easy to want to throw water at the screen and just oh so much fun!

A bunch of shades of life and ethics
Decent slice of life murder mystery drama, with a great cast and interesting twists. The romance is very slow, subtle and lacks kisses. That said the chemistry between several of the leads is lovely.The drama does tackles some interesting issues shown from several perspectives. What is living? Do some deserve to die? Truth vs. dignity and who is actually to blame for girls being drugged and taken advantage of?
Hint, it is not the girl who got drugged.
Other questions are about ethics, cop ethics, business ethics, parenthood ethics (if there is such a thing)
There are some twists that caught me a little bit by surprise, but some of my personal suspicions where found to be correct at the end so there is definitely quite a bit that is predictable.
The female lead and her brother captured my heart early on, the rest of the cast never fully got there but almost.
All in all a drama I would recommend, but while there is some kind of playful tension between the leads, there may be a little nit to much left to the imagination to keep the romance addict within me satisfied as it left me wanting and hoping for more interactions between the two.

Time and superpowers can be confusing
This is an easy watch, I do not know how much a typical it is and I do have some issues with some parts of it and they do start of with a lot of fatshaming... But I do kind of appreciate the dark and depressing.As the episodes flew by the fatshaming subsided and I do believe they may even have made up for it... but my beautiful depressing darkness also got all bright witch was kind of meeh... The twists felt pretty predictable and there where some moments of cringe that just made me go... oh come on...
With all that said I did enjoy it, so I figured it gets an 8 for the characters, the found family, the friendship and the at times okay message. But what really kept me from lowering the score was this one scene where the female lead pretty much saied flat out (not exact quote) .
Yes I was saved, but I am not (or was not) grateful, I just learned I had to use my misfortune for my benefit and in a way I was pissed of at the guy who saved me so using him and that story was my revenge...
And with that I will say, yes there are plot holes and yes there is cringe, and problematic stuff but between it all there are som rare gems and a high entertainment value making it worth a watch.
P.S. I may have seen to many dramas to not be able to predict stuff but if you are new to dramaland, I am sure you will love some of the twists.

Odd, very odd
This is one of those dramas that is a little bit hard to rate the story is odd, really odd, the overall messge seems to be good something about world peace and stuff... the directing is a bit over the top and to quirky fro my taste leaving with just a little bit to much second hand embarrassment and the need to fast forward...That said there where a lot of fun K-drama jokes, a decent cast and pretty things to look at.
It is also a drama that may change the way you look at chicken (any type of chicken) for all eternity, or until you have seen enough other dramas to overwrite the damage this drama made.
As for if it will have you longing to eat chicken or never want to eat chicken again will be left unsaid by me.
So basically this is a true k-drama mix of everything odd, prepare yourselves for some quirk and over the top odd stuff and I am sure this can be an okay watch. While it did have a bit to much over the top for my taste I can appreciate the oddness and individuality of this so if you are fine with that stuff and looking for something different this is actually a pretty decent place to find it.

Beautiful yet depressing
This is a n art film, with beautiful extremely symmetric aesthetics. Like most artistic films it has a bunch of kind of boaring moments and while there is a lot of scheeming going on it is kind of meeh, but we do get to see a young educated woman get worn down, slowly slowly she is worn down to know her place as a the fourth mistress in household where all aim to please the master as that pretty much is the only option for surviving.A movie that shows very well how little woman where worth and how expandable they are...
While I the sound of this drama is a torchere for the ear of those who do not love Chinese opera, once things the last 10 minutes of the movie made it all worth it, yes even the opera part was put in to place and it was just a perfect ending to this beautiful yet depressing story...

The Good Kids and The just Bad mother
This drama has a bit of everything I love with a side of cringe, anoying elements and more or less everything I hate in a drama... okay not everything but a lot leaving me conflicted as the parts I loved where so good, so good so good.. While I found myself anoyed at most of the characters overacting I also found myself kind of falling for the idea of an imperfect be it over the top found family. Though they seem to change their minds over the oddest things and have more changes of heart than a top thorax surgeon will preform in their lifetime. They still have som kind of hidden charm somwhere.The lead couple is adorable in so many ways, predictable at times but oh so sweet giving this romance addict the fix I needed, better than a lot romance out there. And though this is not listed as a romance, the romence in this adds a whole lot of spice to the plot.
The mom, the way she acts and more or less everyghing about her was supposed to show nuaunce and what not but while here character as a person was lovable and fun to watch her methods and motherhood where so bad it made my blood boil.
The kids in this drama almost steal the show but they have fierce competition from the piglets, adding fluff and sweetness to this otherwise mostly dark show.
A decent watch, that is highly entertaining just mind the monologs, annoying elemants, healing and cringe and you will be fine...

Meeh
This was... okay I guess. The dubbing is awful, the filming feels really plastic/low budget and the plot makes no sense what so ever. Basically being another commercial for Chinas amazing development, and research of new energy, now focusing on minerals.The female lead is pretty cool, she is smart and bas ass and forward yet makes the oddest incosistand desisosions.
The male lead is okay.. he has moments of respect and moments of wtf... but overall he is a rare mineral...
The second couples plot line is awful, a waste of time and just annoying.
Other characters had so bad and repetitive lines I felt bad for them...
At times I was entertained othe times I just wanted it to end... And honestly I did not care much for how it would end.
However there are a bunch if sweet moments and coolness that upped the score for this otherwise meeh, to just low quality dare I say lazy production.

Impressive production for a GL
Finally, a Lesbian story with a a high quality production with the added bonus of people with disabilities are people too and this gets a bunch of bonus points for being such a rare find... with a great start that easiely could have led this to be a 9 or even a 9,5 this was indeed a very promising drama. However then came some parts that where rushed, made little sense and tickled my oh come on nerve a little bit to much.The acting is good, the cinematography lovely, the chemistry is on fire. The side couple is sweet but other side characters feel mostely meeh while they do show some common misconceptions and problems people with disabilities face their acting was meeh and they did not add enough to the story to make their time worth whils.
A decent GL that I do recommed, just mind the last couple of episodes...

1,2,3, ambush
This is one of those movies that is so bad you are pretty sure it was intentionally made to be bad.. it could be funny if you shared that type of humour... unfortunately I do not. Some of the short dialog is actually pretty good... mimicking the good old days of the 30s... or maybe 60s cinema. Consciously ignoring any progress made since then...Watching this movie you will be subjected to som sort of short dialog (if any )blind guy gets amused, ambushers die,... repeat... Short dialog with women in trouble... women get ambushed, blind guy shows up... ambushers die... Repeat or mix the two...
An example of short dialog could go something like this:
Bad guy: Oh look I got this sward, lts test it out on the next beggar who passes by....
Bad guy ambushes the first beggar he sees pass by...
Beggar/our blind guy cuts of the dudes sward...
Showing yet again how how those on top (or on the way to the top) view those at the bottom. So yes the little dialog we get s not that bad.
Most of the men in this are bald, and some run around with spears, others with swards,The women seem to be pretty smart and there is a transgirl in here that gets misgendered a lot.
I have a lot of issues with both our so called blind guy as well as the way they talk about gender but I do appreciate some of the other parts leaving me confused and with a bit to many issues to level the score of this so bad it could be entertaining if you are in to that stuf... also so bad it is viewed as a masterpiece in some circles making me wonder what am I not getting... or it could just not be my type of sward...
Rewatch value high because you may need ot watch it a few times to get it
Also while I can not really recommend it as a whole, do watch a few scenes they are indeed kind of funny... the first time around... once you get to the tenth ambush the charm kind of subsides...

Innocent and sweet, but some grown ups suck
A short film that shows childhood at its sweetest, kids playing around on a beautiful beach, having fun and I guess just being kids. At times it made me wondering where are the grown ups but once one showed up I figured they could do better without them.There is very little dialog, and not a lot of drama however one word is all it takes to change the course of a story and that part was done really well. Reminding me of parts of my own childhood and how grown ups kind of sucked back then too.
So if you are in the mood for some pretty scenery and kids being kids while teaching us a lesson or two this is a good place to find it.

When in need of fluff...
This is a sweet and fluffy story about a slightly lost teen who hides behind an a bit to bright smile and fake laughter to shelter himself from the homophobic eyes of the world... And the mature, kind, pondering type of guy who calls the lost boy out and tries to get him to relax and just be...The mature boy has had to grow up a bit to fast and seems to shoulder the responsibility of his very loving and sweet family, all things that made him to be this slightly cold yet very understanding guy. As opposed to mr lost and slightly spontanious this guy takes his time to really think things over....
These two complete opposites have lovely dynamics and great conversations. However though the lost boy has a beautiful smile he felt just a little bit to child like and over the top which kind of bothered me, he also has a lot more screen time than any one else in this show.
So basically the side characters and one of the leads are lovely but the main lead bothered me a bit to much to be able to give this a full score. That said the rest make up for it and so does this sweet fluffy story and setting making it an overall ok watch when in need of fluff

People captivated by others may not captivate me but it was nice anyway
I can´t really say I was captivated by this but it did confuse me as well as show a bunch of people captivated by other people and a book that seems to have changed peoples lives which is kind of nice.A moment of youth, people who happen to be at the same crossroad at the same time... a guy in a panda suit... It is actually pretty nice to see people show interest in other people beyond sexual attraction or stereotypes, just true interest in the person behind the uniform, or the cute panda suit. The person who proves that you may just meat a bear in the middle of Tokyo instead of a bunch of testosterone and what not we get to see a softer side to young men, sure there is a bully here too and the use of a monster/curse/ghost to hide away from crazed teens... So I can't really say it is all fluff and games. But somehow it feels kind of genuinely sweet and that is kind of nice.
Like I got to peek in to a window and see a moment in time, a moment of youth a moment that is far far away from me...
