This movie is very harsh, there are no rainbows or butterflies when it comes to this film. It's about the harshness of life and love that shouldn't be. The characters are very dark and are sometimes hard to understand until a flashback happens later in the film. The love between the Jade and Takeko is dysfunctional but real, you can almost understand Jade's obsession with Takeko. The actress did a very good job playing women in love. And it was nice to see Ranie Yang play a more mature role rather then her cutesy innocent stuff. I recommend this film to anyone who is willing to give it a try. Happy Watching :)
