Empty, meaningless and forgettable.
"Wild Animals" was Kim Ki-duk's second film after the more than acceptable "Crocodile", which however here is shown to be absolutely lacking in ideas and concreteness in a film that today is difficult to watch due to its unjustified violence. its misogyny and irritatingly amateurish nature.
The dirt and intimacy that were apparent in his previous film here become a vulgar, repetitive work that in the end goes nowhere. If what Kim wanted to do was an apology for the absurdity of violence, he achieved it.
But as a work of cinema, it is horrible.
