There were so many reasons why I thought I wouldn't like it. The description is not that great, and I'm not into movies. I had also only tried watching one Chinese film before, and I really didn't like it. However, I am so glad I gave this a chance. It was easily one of the most romantic pieces of film I've seen. You can really tell the characters care about each other. The actors have a passion in their eyes, making me truly believe in their emotions. It's been so long since I've seen acting this good. The romance made me squirm inside, and I had to keep pausing because my heart was beating so quickly. I truly adored them! I admit, the plot is not new. There are some cliches. I usually do not like such things, but they managed to pull it off well nevertheless. It also drove me crazy how the characters would get into these little fights, when all they had to do was talk it out. Despite this, I was able to melt into the joy of their reunions, and that made it worth it. I'd highly recommend this for the romance chasers who enjoy a little bit of angst on the side, but not for those were are looking for a super-dramatic plot.
