Perfect portrayal of characters made possible with their top-tier acting skills

The title itself fits the whole story; the warmth of a hug that can soothe one’s uneasy feelings. The show established a great flow of storyline that is unique and well-written. Every episode manages to get my attention throughout without getting any hint of tiredness or boringness. Especially since it will give you an absolute vibe of creepiness. That irksome aura can be seen overflowing in the psychopath’s devilish stares and smiles.

The best element of this drama is the way that the actors offer excellence in handling their roles perfectly. Each one of them contributes more than enough and carries on filling their part to the fullest. From the main characters up to the supporting roles, super deserves to get praise from the audience.

My favorite episode will be from EP17. The face-off fight between the two brothers was dramatically intense. Loving the fact that Do Jin, his mother, and his younger sister never gave up to save their older brother. Since they all knew that he was badly influenced by their ill father. That scene when Do Jin was accidentally stabbed by Hyun Moo’s knife and the way he hugged his brother was such an impactful tension of feelings.

I may be late finishing this fantastic show, but the important part is I enjoyed every element it has to present to us. The series deserves more recognition. The actors are incredible, have a fine foundation of conflicts, have consistency in providing interesting plots, and connect every single detail of the script to the actual happenings in the story. The ending hugs they both gave to their little selves are wholesome, a happy ending indeed.

Park & Lee should be the main couple

Inconsistent yet good enough to consume in your spare time. It’s a good decision for the production company to change the set-up they provide from the trailer to improving it on the show itself. It became better but still has loopholes and dull moments that were honestly unsatisfactory. The plot started from the typical enemy-to-lovers sequel with the annoying campus heartthrob setting, along with the unlikeable abuse of power by the school teacher/shipper. The transition from school to entering adulthood in a professional field was too sudden yet it somehow provided something new and made a huge adjustment from the never-ending cliche from the college-based scenes.

Gratefully, the characters managed to offer an impact and entertainment. Kim and Mek are just so-so. They can be cute sometimes but from time to time, their story is bland. After they stopped making BL contents, the vibes turned to be more natural and holistic. In the Bomb and Bear case, it feels extra-delightful before both of them enter into a romantic relationship. Bomb has the fluffiest scenes with his one-sided crush and Bear’s comedic charm was loveable. The screen time of Tim and Mai is skippable since it was dry and uninteresting. The sister and brother bonding is deserving of two thumbs-up. A healthy sibling relationship. Both families are composed of open-minded parents who are proud that they’re sons choose to hold onto their happiness.

Park and Lee are worthy to be the main couple. The title itself fits their 7 years of a relationship without their friends knowing about it, the real 'secret love. 'They are the cutest in the show! That particular comfort room scene where they exchange uniforms lights up my attention and the beginning of centralizing my focus on them. Their first meeting was flawlessly adorable. They stole my heart more than any pair from the show. They were immersing, charming, and heart-fluttering. A boyfriend that executes great chemistry and abundant rays of sunshine. I am so happy that they got married in the end.

The 12 episodes have a mixture of good and bad elements that resulted in neutrality or average overall rating from the show. It isn’t particularly hateable but isn’t also specifically memorable.

Unbearable topics of cheating and toxicity but the pair of incredible actors saves it

As someone who watched the three sequels of EN of Love, the parts of Vee & Mark were the best for me. I felt good when the production company announced that the mini-show will be having a full series adaptation. And here I am, who finally completed watching the story that introduces me to my beloved BL pair, YinWar!

The sole reason why I kept watching this drama during its airing time was the solid acting performance of the two main characters and their undying chemistry along with the eye-candy visuals. However, it’s hard to fully enjoy the show since it revolves around the topics of cheating and toxicity inside a relationship. There are times that I don’t feel pity for Vee’s miserable love conflicts since it was also the consequence of his actions. Both he and his girlfriend cheated but the worst thing is, they choose to cling to each other even after knowing everything. The reason that also leads me to be irritated with Mark's attitude. He keeps being in a painful situation yet still accepts Vee several times. Fortunately, the drama has a good way of treating its characters with pros and cons. The good side of this topic is that, in reality, there are people who are closely related to Mark & Vee who choose to stay in a toxic relationship.

The finale was the best out of the ten episodes. I like that they offer a new kind of scenario during the sudden meet-ups of the two families. No overwritten dramas and just pure acceptance knowing that their sons are happily in love. It was also nice for the show to explain that sometimes financial status lowers the confidence of someone who’s in love with someone who belongs to a richer community. Mark’s tsundere father was in such a mood. It is a comedic moment during the scene when he reacted angrily to his son’s social media update regarding the hands with a ring, but in reality, he was smiling. Also, the glimpse of Yoo’s flirtatious approach to Kamphan was too short. I want to see more of them. They can become a cute and fine couple starring in another story or even having their own screen time in a sequel if possible.

“Couldn’t change the past, but is going to make the present the best.” This was the ending statement of Love Mechanics along with the image of the couple’s pair of mugs. It talks about how they manage to overcome the past and being in focus on the present with overflowing romance and sincerity. A great way to conclude Vee and Mark’s love story.

Not your typical love story

Consume this show with enjoyment and emotional attack. From the start, they introduced empathy and sympathy for the victim’s families and survivors of a traumatic incident. They undoubtedly did a great job of portraying this kind of story flawlessly and with well-executed outputs. The field of work is a breath of fresh air from the usual professional jobs that main leads in K-Drama often perform their service to.

The best thing about this series is the on-point acting skills of the cast and their consistency in holding a firm grip on their characters’ personalities. Happy to witness a love triangle without making the second lead do something toxic. I like the closures of each one of them here. Everyone ended up with a new start and living their life with positive energy.

The main characters are worthy to be called the MC. Lee Kang Doo, portrayed by Lee Jun Ho, was a manly-ordinary worker who lived just to survive. The same with Ha Moon Soo, played by Won Jin Ha, who’s also trying to face the reality of the present with no other choice. Their love story was well carried out. Both have genuine and sincerity boosting around their presence. The conflict was resolved without any exaggerated scenarios.

Together with the rest of the supporting characters, this drama is surely one of the best dramas of 2017. My only regret is that I am this late watching this in 2022. Nevertheless, I am wishing the best of happiness to all of the people out there who are also experiencing emotional imprisonment towards themselves. Rain or Shine, we should keep surviving this uneasy life with a grateful heart towards ourselves and the people around us who help us to cope with this life. May the joyfulness keep on leading our lives to the fullest.

Unexpected sequel from the show that defines what decent rom-com story looks like

Grateful for the out of the blue sequel of one of the humorous mini-series I’ve ever watched. Huge fan of the prequel as it made me cry due to the extreme happiness I acquired from the show. However, the excitement I felt during the first season has a huge gap compared to this one. It is less fun in contrast to its previous show. Some scenes in this season are acted in an over dramatic way that is intended to be fun but turned out to be cringe occasionally. Yet, this is still a good quality of rom-com drama provided to every BL fans out there.

Glad to see the playful characters once again but more well pleased to be able to hear those bop music from the opening and ending song once more. They made a new concept to the MOB-song; styling them as 80's - 90’s anime characters that came into life is remarkably cool and authentic. Those silly steps and colorful vibes are sending me real entertainment. I wish they released the song on some streaming sites such as Spotify and YouTube. As usual, Bubble Love by Da-iCE manages to maintain its spot to my favorite Japanese soundtrack playlist.

I followed some of the actors on their Instagram account and Ito Asahi, the artist who played as Kikuchi, got my attention ever since the first season. His cute facial expressions with those bubbly eyes, pointed nose, and kissable lips is worthy to adore. He has a low tone of voice that matches his innocent looks. Aside from him, Toujou (Shiono Akihisa in real life) is the runner up from the rest of the cast that stood to me the most. On the other hand, the duality of Inukai Atsuhiro is something that I found amusing since he can play as the flamboyant Mob and as the fiery Shiro from his recent drama, Kei x Yaku: Dangerous Buddy. From the looks, personality, and character, they are like heaven and earth.

The idea of naming the school as BL University is a witty addition of spice for a story revolving inside the world of a BL manga. The improvement between Touji and Ayano’s romance was great. They’re like a perfect representation of a classic campus sweetheart couple but with a different approach since they established all of their clips from this season outside the school. The kiss suits the age of their characters since it was like a teenage pecking of lips but a part of me wishes that they should perform a more intimate kiss. Moreover, the most important thing is that they included a kissing scene from this season making it their second or third on-screen kiss in the show.

The episode in which a certain lovely girl suddenly switched into a flirty guy made me question if that person is a HE or SHE in real life. She looks like a girl but I’m in doubt since the story only casted male actors so far and the absence of women in the show is almost concluded.

Our MOB finally loosened and let himself carry the flow of the BL manga author that leads him to be the main character of his own. I like that even the ending clip admits that the kiss is such a cliffhanger and ends up in a sudden long distance relationship. I have a strong feeling that the third season is likely to happen since the main character mentioned it during the last scene. The production may be either on the way or already finished taping. Nevertheless, with or without a third season, A Man Who Defies the World of BL is a fine work of art in the field of short filmmaking for a mini-series category.

You can’t keep yourself calm and cool while watching this. Extreme angriness dominates you!

It has an interesting storyline –a number of people who lost their loved ones' lives from such crimes, group together and seek revenge for their client in their service called Rainbow Deluxe Taxi with a tagline that says “Don’t die, get revenge. We’ll do it for you.”

Each case makes my blood boil! The amount of destructive emotion I felt is enough to fly into the fit of rage silently. I AM ANGRY AND ANNOYED for the intense and suspenseful drama, and have a weak heart for such brutality. But I still felt the satisfaction I needed after finishing their missions. The rainbow after a storm is only for a brief moment since sooner or later, another terrifying case will be taking into vengeance.
Kang Maria’s abusive and inhumane employer lights the raging flame within me. The first case presented in the show signifies the monstrous situation of the laborer with a disability that leads her to live like hell in that place.

Case number 2 was about the bullied student and how those bullies deserve the consequences they faced upon their actions. Another ups and downs scenario that denotes that young age does not lessen the weight of the sin and it may just be a small part of their teenage years, but to others, it may be a life-and-death situation. I just wished that they would give us a glimpse of their present circumstances in the final episode.

The Udata case talks about the evil businessman and how he controlled his employees in a patriarchal way. It is a good thing for me that he died but I am still salty on how minimal his injuries were compared to his employees. I am so irritated to him that I wanted Kim Do Ki to tortured him more.

On the other hand, the Voice Phishing episodes were my favorite. It has a different kind of revenge that isn’t vicious and gives good vibes all throughout. Kim Do Ki flexing his good looks for a use. He and his body had a new purpose during that time; to attract the scam leader and make her fall in love. This one is absolutely light, entertaining, and a hilarious one. Using the same tactics of the scammers, Kim Ki Do betrayed her trust given to him and resulted in the destruction of her business along with her people. Madam Lim was so whipped up by Wang Tao Zi (Kim Ki Do) that she was even ready to forgive him any moment.

Chairman Baek, the twins, serial murders, organ trafficking, and the unison of their past caught-villains that turns to be their biggest mission to overcome. They’re totally at a disadvantage and suffer great losses, each member of the Rainbow Deluxe Taxi was severely injured. An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. Revenge will bite you back.

Plot after plot. The big fat man that actually turns out to be twins. Second, the death of Mr. Wang ignites the provocative behavior of Prosecutor Kang that leads her to consume the service of the Deluxe Taxi. Also, Chairman Baek stabbed their back and concluded as the boss behind all illegal business that was thought to be an independent act of one of the twins. But the most arousing moment in a despicable manner is when all of the prisoners held in the private prison escaped and joined forces with Chairman Baek. It was a superhero-like concept in which the protagonist and his team had to fight once again with these monsters in a fast and contemptuous way. After fulfilling their previous missions, one thing is for sure, their team is great on catching them but negligent on the idea of trusting an outsider to handle the hell-like facility of the catched villains. I can’t blame them but it was still an agitated feeling, they should heavily tortured them.

The final case is about the serial murderer who turns out to be the one who killed Kim Ki Do’s mother. To the man who was falsely accused and took his 20 years serving in jail was so agonizing, specially that this story was inspired in a real life scenario of a man who forcely admitted the crime because the detectives tortured him. The poor victim who was a little girl and her family suffers a lot too from blaming the false suspect. Why do such evil people exist? The police, detectives, and the government have to blame for their dereliction of duty and abusive use of power in society. The lawmakers should adjust the Statute of Limitations and give proper justice to these heart-rending victims.

To sum it up, the drama was a great one indeed. I came here for Lee Je Hoon and he never fails to amaze me. The role really fits him; a hot, cold, cute, sexy, handsome, charismatic, hunky, and lovely character. Too many positive adjectives can describe him. Kim Ki Do supposedly have a quirky attitude if only he doesn’t experience losing her mother in a murder case. His dream of becoming an actor was showcased in every mission they did. Loving every single detail of witnessing a smiling and laughing Kim Do Ki passionately despite this side of him was purely an act for the success of their mission. He became so cold and less talkative after the unfortunate event happened to his family that completely changed him as a person. The only thing I can’t take seriously is the superman strength and stamina of Kim Do ki. He can take too many critical hits without fainting (except for the udata case), and he even beat a bunch of big hired gangs all against him alone. I know he flourished this skill and built it in the army but the human body has limitations too. Sometimes, it is proven that people acquire extraordinary strength when on the verge of danger but Kim Do Ki takes it to another level.

Another flaw is that it is a gunless action and thriller drama where the characters were against several law breakers and hid under the dark side of the world. For a show of explicit extreme savagery, the usage of guns was almost unseen except for that time when Prosecutor Kang utilized it during the arrest of Chairman Baek people. Instead, they prefer to use knives, hammer, fist and kicks during the fights. But the thing that made me scream impatiently was every time Do Ki had to walk very slowly chasing the devil on the run. He is giving them a chance to escape, attack, and defend themselves against him. All for the sake of a cool-action-shot typical in most action genre dramas.

Thank goodness that they didn’t include any fancy romance in the story. They mainly focused on the concept of revenge and consequences which were executed marvelously. Plus, the arrangement of the arcade game, karaoke room, and the atm bank machine as the platform to blow the final decision of the customer in using their service was done creatively.

Binge-watched this for days and never got bored. This was really a great and explendid drama!

“Even if we lose 100 guilty criminals, let’s not punish a single innocent person.”

Justice is served!

Remove the romance from the main character and it will be better

Since the pilot episode is not that great, I already expected that the rest of the episodes will be the same. The truth is, the only reason I binge-watched the show was basically to support Sehun in his first television drama. Unfortunately the show is bland and below average, if not for Sehun I already dropped this one long ago.

The title is about the two protagonists dealing with their uncommon romance. The wall left by his late brother and her ex-boyfriend was so thick that it affected not only them but also the people involved with the three of them. Ha Young Eun is still trying to break up with Yoon Jae Guk's deceased brother, but during that time she doesn't know that her ex-boyfriend died. Then, the same cycle happens when the two main characters push their relationship despite the opposition from their parents. They keep trying to break up with each other. The adverse thing is because of this, it is hard for me to enjoy the show and I ended up feeling bored watching it. I really thought that Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Young had a great chemistry together but as I watched their acting performance in this show, I can’t find any sort of romantic affection from them. This is also the point I realized that I get sick seeing the same Song Hye Kyo’s teary and dainty facial expression over and over again. The same case with Jang Ki Young’s awkward smiles all throughout the show. I like both of them but they’re acting from this show was unimpressive. Anyways the one lesson I learned from their romance is that one love story is hard to withered.

Set aside the main characters, the story of the dying friend was tragically beautiful. It is my favorite part of the show, a sorrowful yet impactful part of Mi Sook’s life. The SONO online fashion show made me cry a river, turning her long-awaited dream into reality is heartwarming. Living with the knowledge that she can die any minute is tremendously scary. Her decision to do all the things she wanted to do before she died was something sad and fulfilling to see at the same time. At the end, she died knowing that she happily said her goodbyes to the people around her and that the memories they shared together will always be remembered.

Other parts of the show that was good are:
The duo of the two CEOs from Vision PR and THE ONE. Good combination of comedy and spice because of how unexpected the strict father was.
Fashion as their main concept was conveyed well enough but can be improved.
Hwang Chi Hyung and Jung So Young have a cute love story. They had only short scenes but enough to send me butterflies.
Presenting the process of running a fashion company.

In conclusion, sometimes I feel good but still most of the time I feel extremely unsatisfied with the flow of the main character's story. The side character has a more interesting story than the main.

A K-Drama that comforts the beginning of my adulting phase

One of the Korean Dramas that serve as my opening to the world of being an adult. Life after school is about facing the real world; the struggles and hardships that one must overcome. I learned a lot from the show and it gives me guidance on the possible barriers I may encounter after my graduation. Although it took me years before I found this gem and binge-watched the show, I guess it’s the perfect time for me since I was preparing for my own path after becoming an adult.

Each character holds a specific journey for living their lives to the fullest. But sometimes we realize that the things we dream about when we are young are so difficult to achieve. Most of the time, we don't have any other choice but to let go of our dreams and re-entered the path that will make us survive in our daily life. Reality slapped us so hard, a painful awareness we came across after turning to an adult. Even though we worked so hard and did all our best throughout the journey, it may not still guarantee us to be able to grab the dream we’ve been waiting for so long. This is the sad reality of life.

The scene where Ji-ho was sexually harassed by the assistant director makes my blood boiled up. She has no other place to stay and the pervert takes it for granted. The next scene makes me even angrier when the crew group together at a dinner table and pushes Ji-ho to forget the mistreatment she experienced at that night. During those moments, Ji-ho suffers alone. Having friends and family isn’t always the first option we think about when having some problem. Most of the time, we choose not to bother the people around us because we think that they also have their own lives to process and we find it so hard to ask for help from them. You only have yourself, you comfort your own, endure all the pain by your own, because at the end of the day, we only have our own selves to lean on.

“Not every friend knows everything about each other. No matter how close you are to them, there are sides of you that you don’t want to show. And sometimes, your family feels the farthest of all.”

The show also presented how serious and crucial a wedding is. Se-hee and Ji-ho’s wedding ceremony was the scene that made me cry the most. Her mother's written message to Se-hee as Ji-ho’s husband was so deep and emotional. Weddings are such big events that involve the people around the couple. Witnessing the heartwarming connection of the mother-and-daughter was really a teary scenario. I am so glad that they ended up registering their marriage for real after so many ups and downs. Also, the term “love” is now elaborated in their relationship.

That intimate kiss at the sea was my favorite, it was done in the most excellent way. I love how calm yet fierceful the energy coming from both the couple and the scenery, their exchange of dialogues, and the way they open up their feelings with that super lovely kiss. The beginning of their real romantic feelings.

After all, Ji-ho and Se-hee deserve to be the main couple of the show. The greatest yet hardest obstacle they overcame was entering their “Room 19” that both of them built upon themselves. I love how they add the creative story of the popular book from the story of the show. Humans, no matter of age, have always had a side of them that they didn’t want to open up for others. Living inside their specific Room 19 alone is enough to make them happy and comfortable. A personal secret that someone doesn’t need to know.

Se-hee’s past shocked me because I didn’t think that he suffered from a tremendous heartbreak before that made him unlikely to believe in romance anymore. The closure of Se-hee and the CEO ended up the wound they carried for a long time. Alongside Ji-hoo and CEO’s unexpected bond that didn’t make their past and future contradict their present. They choose not to fight with each other and become not dramatically inclined to the fact that Se-hee can be the cause of their hatred from one another. The kind of closure that is delicate, fresh, and real.

Lee Min Ki and Jung So Min were some of my top favorite actors in the industry because they always delivered the best and perfect kind of emotions needed in the story. Their chemistry speaks so loud and they fill the whole show with so much intimacy and passion.

Soo-ji and Sang-goo’s relationship is a healthy one too. He helped her to choose the path that she wanted for so long. It’s a good thing that after Soo-ji took a risk from building his own business, she succeeded and even changed her mind about marriage. Sang-goo was always a soft-hearted character from the show. From being a friendly CEO to being openly accessible to Soo-ji and her disabled mother.

On the other hand, I now get the hatred that some of the viewers feel about Ho-rang and Won-seok's relationship. The girl is obsessed with being a motherly figure that leads her to indirectly push his boyfriend to propose to her numerous times. The boy doesn’t even think about marriage not until he figures out that it was the desired wish of his girlfriend. Obviously, they’re relationship tends to become toxic from time to time. A couple for 7 years who are in their 30’s who keep fighting over small things then after a while reconcile again. The same kind of process was empathized by her friends at the start of the few episodes. In fact, if they can only be critical enough, their problem can easily be fixed with simple, sincere, and proper communication.

Because This Is My First Life generally teaches the viewers to always choose the best decision that they don't regret about in the future. Marriage, Relationships, Careers, Family, etc. We are living our life for the first time, so we tend to commit mistakes from time to time but the most important thing to do is to live our life seeking for our own happiness. A light drama that allowed me to always be grateful for the things that made me happy and alive. From now on, I am going to “Live like it was my last!”

The title lives for itself; almost perfect at first but became another usual show afterwards

I watched a clip of this drama from a specific social media platform and notice how handsome the main lead is, then I decided to binge-watch the whole show. The epilogue from the pilot episode was new to me. The way he watches a silent-comedy movie in a theater and started crying is a fresh idea and definitely one of my favorites from the show. Romance was okay, I can feel the chemistry but not that impactful. At first I was finding a hard time to accept the teacher-student intimate relationship but since it was a contractual bond and the girl are soon to graduate, I just accepted it.

Our grand/parents should stop expecting their child/ren to marry someone because not everyone is lucky enough to find the rightful partner who shares the same kind of love from each other, and it took a long time to find one sometimes. The white lie was executed good and the factor that initiate the main lead to set a proposal to his student. As the episodes goes on, I realized that without an eyeglass he looks like Jackson Wang, but still I prefer him with eyeglasses. I find it funny that the main couple loved to kiss whenever they are in the middle of a phone call.

The second couple Lu Yu and Yun Lan are both so lovely. The moment Lu Yu’s character appeared in the show, the atmosphere became so jolly. I want to pinch his cheeks every single smile he takes. Yun Lan on the other hand was a charismatic dependent woman who is worthy to be a role model. Lawyer Meng as the second lead was an unexpected strong competitor yet the show ended up his character after only a few episodes. The story ruins Chu Chu’s character, an almost perfect person who has only an eye for the main lead. Yun Shu’s circle of friends are adorable as well, Yi Yi and Lin Nuo was good being ex-bf/gf but the moment they decided to be together once again, I disapproved. The actress portraying Yi Yi excels in acting yet her character became so annoying afterwards. There breakup is the right thing to do because they just keep hurting each other in the future by the things happened to their past but the drama pushes the two to ended up together which wasn’t even a happy ending for me.

I don’t like the ending. I am not fan of seeing someone who sacrifices his/her future career or long term dream just to choose a romance that can still possible even he/she pick the opportunity given to him/her.

During the earliest episodes, I feel like this drama is another show that will be added to my favorites but after few more typical scenes repeated over and over again, they failed to be consistently good. The ending isn’t even look like an ending but anyways the important thing is that I do enjoy the show for a moment.

Promising start -artistic and beautiful, yet the romance gets annoying after

The first few episodes were so great, they introduce a fresh, new, and an amazing fantasy storyline. From the cast itself, I knew that the acting will be marvelous and they show cleverness in acting as I expected but sometimes Ahn Hyo Seop forgets that he’s supposed to act as a blind man. I already watched a lot of Korean historical drama and most of them bored me at some point, the same goes with this drama but I’m grateful to witness a historical inserting magical powers and believes that make the story more colorful.

The best part of the show is how they highlighted the traditional skill of drawing and painting. The gathering or competition among many painters was my favorite episode of all time. The way they executed the variety of brushing techniques, the sound of papers and brush, the big factor of being able to draw an art that has different kind of impression, and the quality effects of each drawings was really a masterpiece. I have so much fun watching the episode so much plus the three best friends call sign is so hilarious and cute (troublemaker, nuisance, and frown).

The early episodes were light and comedic but then it gets serious and dramatic. It was during EP12 when I started to hate the romance from the story. Obviously, they failed to emphasize the love story in a more pleasant way. Perhaps it became another cliché story that let either one of the lovers affects the people around them just because of their undying love on each other. The girl does risky things even thou she or her beloved people can be killed any minute. Then the boy sudden change of heart is odd, I hate it when he’s loyal subordinate man sacrifices his life just to save the father of his girlfriend. Where is the years of planning for vengeance? The same goes with the girl, the antagonist was right when he called that the reason why her father was killed was simply because of her desperate love for his boyfriend.

On the other hand, I love how the second and third prince rivalry story were given an open ended story. The second prince shows explicit facial expression on acting as an antagonist, it was good. The third prince was one of my early favorite because of his cuteness and innocent character. Every royal family in a drama always have to fight for the throne all the time. The demon and all other mythical creatures explicit in the show is something I am really happy about.

Another part of the show that I love the most is the music (OSTs, background songs). Byun Baekhyun proves that he is one of the most incredible singer in the industry. Hearing his song is a beautiful perfection fit for the concept and cinematography of the show. All of the music are cool, especially the background song plays when the characters are painting during the competition, a soothing and elegance vibes.

Overall, it was really good but only the romance during the last few episodes affected my enjoyment of watching. The ending is okay as well as the epilogue. The cast are the reason I started to watch the show but I fell in love with the story which was a great experience for me as a viewer.

The perfect drama on showcasing Asian Puberty

Probably one of the best coming-of-age story that was really worth the watch. First of all, the setting and timeline of the drama was well executed, bringing the daily life of youth during 1996-97. The years when people lived without the use of modern technologies and how they keep themselves entertain by interacting with the real world. The bicycle as a form of transportation to everyone including the adults was really a thing in the past that I also want to experience right now.

Focusing on the life of 18 years-old students, this show let me reminisce those precious memories of my high school years, the more I watched, the more nostalgic I became. Both the struggle and fun times of every student were so realistic, in fact I do also experience those kind of stories. The beauty of youth will really be highlighted in your whole life if you share those years with your circle of friends. I am so grateful that I genuinely enjoy these years surrounded by nice, amazing, and kind people.
The variety of stories from the whole cast and their different background stories was the reason why the show is that great for me. The depth, appeal, plot, and how they overcome those painful situations is a double thumbs up. In short, every one of them is a loveable and relatable character, no one has been left behind.

Hua Biao being the not-your-typical-main-lead is really one of a kind. Growing up with a deceased parent, he manages to be a fine, kind, and intelligent young boy. At school, I love how he is so helpful to his classmates and a jolly monitor who joins the fun together with the whole class. I’ve been a class president many times and I know how serious this position is, it is a job for those who see his classmates equally. Outside school, he is still a hardworking and loving man who will do everything for his grandma. He’s life was truly a sad one, but it doesn’t let poorness ruins the quality of life. It was a heartwarming moments when his friends and neighbors help him in taking good care of his grandma and their home.

Yang Xi, the definition of a happy-go-lucky girl who shows an incredible improvement in life. Her personality liven up the mood of the show all the time. What I love about her is that she faces life with so much energy and a big smile in her face. Her family was my favorite one, a loving father who isn’t strict to his baby girl, a dedicated mother who will do everything to his children, and a funny and thoughtful inventor brother who’s no doubt that supported his sister in everything. Living with an honest family, her personality shows how awesome it is to be born and grow up being close to the family. The time when she finds out that her mother was lend off from the company, was really make me emotional. Parents really had the pride of creating an image of a strong and dependable parent to their child.

Li Yu is one of my favorite character that shows that a second male lead is possible to avoid getting a fight to the main lead just because of a roaming romance with the same girl. I don’t blame Yang Xi for not showing romantic affections towards Li Yu because you can’t really force someone to love you the way you love them romantically. It is so painful to see Li Yu loses his courage the moment Hua Biao confesses his feelings to Yang Xi, this kind of feelings continued on the sequence of next episodes. It hurts me so much that the story keeps insisting Li Yu on loving Yang Xi secretly. He is also the kind of student who wasn’t good at all subjects and had something to looking forward for improvements. The moments when he was shocked and emotional by his father and mother having another affair just shows how hard it is for a youth to fully accept the possible life of having a divorced parent. The last episode in which they finally admitted his feelings to Yang Xi and also say his goodbye was really an emotional moment for me. Living side by side the moment they were born to finally being separated for the first time is a big time crying scene for me.

Si Tu Er Tiao, the rich and supportive friend who is willing to give everything he had for his beloved friends is a treasure. I love how he didn’t question himself or his friends for expending money because he knows that he has a sincere bunch of friend who shares the fun moments in his life. It was a gloomy moment when he is the only one who isn’t qualified to even a junior college university but I’m glad that he had something to do for his future by going abroad. He was influenced by his father on being a successful and strategic entrepreneur, he is smart in the small business category. The father and son relationship isn’t that great because of how the father nature of being a womanizer affected the way his son treated him by calling his real name instead of a being called as a father. That’s also why he deeply wants attention from others, Si Tu Er Tiao really loves his friends because they are the one who make him feel at home.

Yang Xiao He Mei is the definition of beauty but not so brainy. Don’t get me wrong because I do love her. She was a kind and innocent young lady who only wants the freedom from her strict parents. I guess because of the pressure coming from her mother, this became hard for her to do well in the studies. Family issues are a different kind of pain; the parent and child relationship varies depending on how the parents treat their child. Consider yourself lucky if you had a peaceful relationship with your parents or guardian cause not everyone had it. The cute side of He Mei is her one sided love with Yang Chao, which turned to be her best-friends’ brother. Sad thing is, she was once again suffered for the pain, but even myself doesn’t regret it if I fall in love with a kind person like Yang Chao.

Huang Deng Deng deserves the best in character development award. At first I thought she will be another young lady who will be bitchy and creates a troublesome attitude to the main cast but it turned out that she is a loveable and honest woman. Her patient and determine is so strong no matter how many times she was rejected by Li Yu. One thing I’m glad about her is when she doesn’t fully sacrifice the ballet just to be with Li Yu longer. Unconditional love happens even it is one a sided crush. I can’t blame her for having a long time crush to Li Yu because the guy really was something hard not to love.

Each one of them explicit a kind of story that brings inspiration and life lessons to the viewers. The above mentioned characters as well as granny, Yang Xi’s mother & father, Teacher Kong Xiao Jun, Yang Chao, Li Yu’s father & mother, the headmaster, and the rest of the cast shows greatness in their parts of the story.

Although I give this a high rating score, there are some scenes that I don’t really like namely;
• I am the type of a student who avoid getting too close to my teacher. The specific scene when the whole class headed by Hua Biao, walk outed and even shouted to Mr. Kong was an off scene for me. No matter how much angriness I had over my teacher, me and my friends will never cross the boundary and did such thing. Respect is always taught to us. I feel that Hua Biao closeness to Mr. Kong make him treated the teacher the same way he treated a classmate when he is out of control, it was a nasty attitude for me. And yet, the only one faced Mr. Kong was Li Yu and Hua Biao and Yang Xi let the two talk out about what happened. Youth really tends to do things that makes adults angry.
• The head gang situation. Why do an eighteen-year-old student had something big to deal with a gang leader, I know it happens rarely but still a big no for me. Even though it is unrealistic, I’m still glad that they handled the situation in a comedic way of approach. The moment when Mr. Kong stalked his students and help them overcome the crises by means of an intellectual battle.
• The poor security of the schools. Anytime, they can freely enter the school with less worries because they know how to hide themselves in the room lmao. (Moments when Hua Biao practices his chemistry research on his previous school and also when he stayed at their classroom in order to hide his scar from his grandma)
• The romance of Hua Biao and Yang Xi. At first I truly like their chemistry but as the time goes by, I was feeling blank about their over growing feelings. I like them individually but not as a couple. But those farewell in the ending was so sad for me too. Hua Biao sacrificing a time for his studies and letting the rest of the time with his grandma being still conscious.
• The resemblance of some scenes from the hit Korean series Reply 1988. I know it isn’t a big deal but I can’t help but to feel it.

Of course if there is a negative feedback, I do also have my favorite memories from the show, namely;
• The comedy and emotional moments. I can’t count how many times I cried when watching the show.
• OST, the masterpiece. The first time I heard the song, I already knew that it will give me the kind of feeling I keep wanting to; the soothing and heartwarming emotions after hearing it. A beautiful song perfect for the story.
• Yang Xi vs Huang Deng Deng. I laughed so hard during their campus fight, the presence of the whole students from the school was so funny. Bickering turned into violence hahaha
• Every episode is wholesome. The 24 episodes delivered some strong emotional feelings to me, a person who misses his teenage school life.
• Knows how to make the main boys so attractive, both in their physical appearance and their charming personalities. Either one of them really deserves the love from the main girl.
• The involvement of the parents and teachers to the students’ academics.

Overall, it was a flawless ending. Growing up means that you will also experience being far away from the people you had in high school. Everyone will continue living by pursuing their dreams, setting on a new environment is necessary. I feel so much joy and happiness finishing the show, it makes me remember how youthful living at 18 was. I already love the ending but if season 2 may happen, I am openly eager to wait for it and watch the new season with a happy heart.

A gift for EXO-Ls

Finally, another reality show for EXO after a long time since the last one. I just hope Lay was part of it too. I just keep laughing and smiling the whole episodes. It's lovely to see every one of the members having fun and comfortable with each other. I've been EXO-L for years and knows how solid their bond on each other is, but this show let us see more of them, creating precious memories together.

EXO is the reason why I've been a KPOP fan today. I love them so much!! I would also like to thanks the people behind the filming and editing success of EXO Ladder because obviously they did an awesome job producing it.

To Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, DO, Kai and Sehun, thank you for being my huge source of happiness! I patiently waiting for your comeback. We Are One! EXO Saranghaja!

Probably the worst C-Drama I've ever watched so far

First thing first. The only reason I started to watched this was simply because Johnny plays the main role in the show. He’s acting skill doesn’t disappoint, he was just good but there’s a lot of things that I don’t find interesting and it was quite ruin the fun of watching. The story seems like a corny and boring version of the hit Korean drama, Descendants of the Sun. The doctor and soldier relationship is a good significant foundation of a solid romance drama but the actors portraying the roles is not being even close to be called as an actor with “average acting skill.” The main girl acting is not consistent; I like her as a doctor but when she took off her hospital gown and started to act like a normal woman outside her professional field, she’s too nosy who loves to scream a lot. The way she acts cute was really annoying to both my eyes and ears.

There’s no something new from the show, overused cliché scenes that I already seen from other dramas. It was really boring that I can’t help but to fast forward the whole episode and watch it in a 1.5 speed. I feel like the soldiers in the show are being too sexist and too full of themselves who was overconfident just because they are man. There’s a certain scene where the main lead told the young boy (who I found an annoying brat too) that crying is not for the boys. The hell is wrong with a man crying? I already told that Johnny was the reason I watched this but his role isn’t something that I really like, even a bit, it was just not my cup-of-tea vibes to a person in general.

The cat! HAHAHA the one talking cat lmao. Another factor why the show is a joke for me, it’s so ridiculous to make a talking cat exist to a non-fantasy drama.

NO CHEMISTRY FROM THE MAIN COUPLE!! Being a romantic show, of course the viewer need to feel the butterflies interpreted from the story. On the other hand, I feel nothing but annoyance. Her ex-boyfriend has more interesting story than the couple in combo, and not to mention that the man portrayal of the role is actually clever, the way he acts really fits the role he was given.

I am super eager to drop this show for a long time but my personal pride keeps winning. I already told myself that no matter how bad the drama is, once I started to watch the first episode, I don’t have any other choice but to finish it until the end. Funny right? HAHA but that’s just me being firm with my own words and promises in life.

Thank you for executing a great medical series that showcases the goodness of mankind

Another season, another success!

The strength of this show is that the storyline is as great as the actors portraying the story. Every patient along with the doctors has something to share; some has a heartwarming and tearful stories, and some are so painful that leads you on crying too much. The scenarios are super realistic, allowing me to be so grateful that medical workers exist. Saving lives is already a heroic act and I have my full respect to those who walks their path in this kind of profession. Medical field isn’t a joke. Life is precious. And thanks to these people, we can continue on living.

Unlike any other show, the absence of villain character doesn’t make the drama less. Perhaps, it’s actually worthy to see how the story only revolves around the life of medical professionals whose main goal is to treat patients with their utmost best without an excessive novel-like drama.

You learn while watching. Every surgery, operations, and treatments seen in the drama is absolutely well-performed. Most of the times that they are performing some of the surgical operations, I paused it first then search for the said illness, medical procedure, machineries, items, and other related medical matter. It’s a drama that helps a viewer to be educated or add some knowledge regarding on the mentioned stuffs. They feature different branch of medicine field. I get to see how ER doctors works, Pediatrician, Thoracic Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, Obstetrician, and General Surgeon all in one show.

I am living from every “Thank you doctor” and “I am sorry Ma’am/Sir for your loss.” The life of a doctor will never escape between the line of saving a life and losing a life.

Although it is a medical genre, it’s somehow light and fun drama. The comedy is presented well and create an energetic atmosphere to the story. They seem to enjoy working because they are laughing from time to time. Ik-Joon is a comedy legend in the show but I am always anticipating every Jun-Wan and Intern Hong-Do interaction. The way he keeps on asking the little intern medical questions was so cute on helping him to learn by not simply memorizing the terms but also by taking it into his mind all the times.

The romance is not that bad but not also that good. It isn’t a romance drama so it doesn’t affect my enjoyment in watching. It was just a fine additional spice to the story. Unlike the first season, Jeong-Won and Hyun-Bin moments isn’t that great for me. Another couple that didn’t make me so attached to them are Seok-Hyung and Min-Ha. I am not fan of Ik-Jun and Song-Hwa romance as well, I like her better for Chi-Yong but he only appears on EP11 with a limited amount of screen time in this season. If I am to ask, my favorite couple are Jun-Wan and Ik-Soon, they are so lovey-dovey and has the most interesting love story among the rest.

The staffs, nurses, interns, residents, and other field workers’ explicit greatness in being a supporter character. I love them all specially the twin brother, intern Hong-Do but I have a certain character that I’ve been attached too. The one who AWOL for a day after the death of his patient, Kim Geon. He himself is so cute specially when the doctors make fun of him by having a crush to Gyeo-Wool. Unfortunately, he only had a little bit of screen time but that’s enough for me to be able to fell in love with his character. Actually, there are many characters (most of them from patients) that make me emotional while watching. Stating them all will just lengthen this review more and more.

The almost 2 hours’ duration time of the 12-episode drama doesn’t make me feel bored and empty. I enjoyed watching and have my time worthy because as I said earlier, I do learn a lot from watching.

Just like the main cast and the people around them, kind hearted people are always in the world. Ready to help us in their own way and allow themselves to share positive vibes to one another.

idk if this one is good or bad

As a fan of the HIStory series, this drama is a must watch for me. But whenever I watch it, my feelings will be either happy or annoyed. The reasons are because of its pros and cons I come up with after watching the every episodes.

PROS:
• Good acting from Xeng Si and Li Cheng
• Effective comedy specially because of Li Cheng’s cheerful personality
• Really like the first half of the total episode. From pretending to having real feelings; it is cute and funny
• Personally, the 1 & 0 topic is new for me and I am so entertained on how they keep fighting for the top position

CONS:
• Poor camera angles
• The obsessed brother is so annoying and manipulative. Obsession is very different from love. I like Xeng Si but I just can’t help myself to be happy for their relationship. The story is very similar to the popular yet controversial Addicted Heroine from China. HIStory2: Crossing the Line, also shows step-brother romance into it and I think the franchise are trying to make it romantic but obviously they failed.
• The last few episodes lose the spark or lovely element I felt during the earlier episodes

I do enjoy watching it but I can’t give it a higher rating since there are factors negatively affects my feedback about it.
