Towards the end, story was extremely depressing. Understand this was due to wartime but still too much for one to absorb.

I'm not sure why the some scenes needed to be cut off. Like an entire dialogue was supposed to be five minutes and everything ended abruptly in thirty seconds. Seriously?!
