I created an account to keep better track of the dramas I have watched.
I’ve been a casual fan of Asian dramas for years, and since the pandemic, I’ve become a fan of C-dramas. Because of the pandemic with free time, I ended up subscribing to IQIYI, Youku, and WeTV. I would also subscribe to MangoTV if their subtitles were decent.
I have my actors favorites and I always try to watch all their dramas. However, just because they are my favorites doesn’t mean I’ll like all of their dramas; I tend to be a bit critical of dramas in general.
Finally, I love giving my opinions in comments about the dramas I watch.
How I Rate Dramas
I always try to watch dramas until the end, and my rating depends a lot on whether I feel the time investment in watching the drama is worth it. Anything below 7 is so bad; no one should waste their time like I did on those dramas. They are so bad that even I give up on them.
7.0 = Stories that start well but become very tedious, or have horrible endings that make me feel like I wasted my time watching this.
7.5 = Generally almost the same as 7.0, but has small details that I like a bit more. For example, despite everything, I liked the protagonists a little, or the ending isn’t so bad.
8.0 = I liked it, but it doesn't have anything special.
8.5 = I enjoy them, but it has flaws. Maybe the script is very good, but the actors are not that great, or vice versa. I really like the actors, but the script is average.
9.0 = Above average and quite good. I liked the script and the performances, but it’s missing something.
9.5 = For me, these dramas are close to perfection in my tastes, but they have small details that make me want to differentiate them from the 10s.
10 = In my tastes, these dramas are "A perfect masterpiece"; dramas that everyone should watch.
