This show isn’t the wreck you all are making it out to be
A Boss and A Babe is a solid 8. A sweet story with a sprinkle of drama and characters who actually resolve their issues without dragging things out *shocking*Cher might be a little unconventional by society's standards, but he’s extremely lovable. He’s goofy but not dumb, and he is always genuine with others and himself. Oftentimes, this type of character comes off as annoying, but Cher never seems to cross that line. It definitely helps that he’s hilarious.
Gun is pretty much the standard of an ideal man. He’s attentive and chooses to care for the people Cher loves. He’s also vulnerable, and I would even say innocent, in respect to his interactions with others'. He wants to believe in those around him, even when he has been repeatedly shown that not everyone puts as much weight on friendship as he does. I love the little touches of comedy that come when he’s feeling shy or self conscious.
Cher perfectly fills in the gaps in Gun’s life. He shows him joy, kindness, and affection with no expectations attached. He even offers up his friend group before even knowing that making and keeping friendships was one of Gun’s traumas! Cher is what Gun needed.
The lineup of friends on both sides is a winner. On Cher’s side, we have a whole gang of loving friends who might fight and argue but who are willing to apologize when they’ve screwed up. There is a bit of a spotlight on Jack, who has his own struggles but still finds it in him to worry about his friends. I was particularly thankful that his friendship with Cher was not marred by romantic affection, like it is often done in other shows.
On Gun’s side, we have Porsche, who always pops up just when he’s needed and always has the best advice. He might be Gun’s ex, but he’s more like the fairy godmother. (We’re not going to talk about the entitled ex-friend Time, except to say that I love seeing Drake on screen and wish we could have gotten an actual resolution.)
The show did have a tendency to drop the ball when it came to resolving storylines and closing loose ends, almost as if they didn’t have enough time to film or include them and decided to cut them. In this case, it wasn’t a deal-breaker simply because GunCher were kept front and center and their resolution as a couple was satisfactory. As a whole, I believe the story would have been more poignant if these loose ends were addressed better. This is the real difference between an iconic show and just a good one, and ABAAB fell short. Still I praise it for what it did do, which was create an enjoyable romantic comedy.
In summary, a lovely ensemble with lovable characters and minimal drama. An easy and enjoyable watch.

A Dose of Serotonin
There are various reasons why 'We Are' is a standout drama, which I will highlight below, but I must start with the most important.'We Are' is unpretentious. From the start, the show promised us a feel good romcom, delivered by an endearing cast of friends, and not once did it fail us. From beginning to end we are presented with a healthy loving group of friends in healthy loving relationships. Yes, drama can make for good TV, but there’s always room for a show that offers comfort and good-natured humor.
'We Are' is a slow burn. Surprisingly, I believe that in this case, it’s a plus. In the BL era of everyone must be dating by episode 5, it can even be considered refreshing. Despite our main couple not being official until the latter half of the show, there was little room for the viewers to doubt that they would eventually get there. By showing that a lack of a relationship status did not impede the romance of it all, they managed to cleverly keep viewers engaged. It was also entertaining to observe the multiple couples in various stages of a relationship. With such a large group of friends, there was always something going on.
'We Are' boasts of a lovable cast. The true star of this show and what kept the story connected, was how genuinely the friend group was written. There was love there that is just as important as the romance. It’s not difficult to root for a group of characters, when they are ALL genuinely good people. (I have to say that watching that last episode made me a tiny bit emotional. It’s like I’m sending off my children into the adult world. I don’t have any children.)
All in all, 'We Are' never failed to deliver that midweek kick of serotonin, and for that it will be missed.
Was it perfect? No. But it accomplished what it set out to do in a striking way.
Rating : 9.5/10. Comforting & Feel-Good.

A Slow Start With A Satisfyingly Conclusion
I liked this show a lot more than I had thought I would, while watching the first 5 episodes. The second half was worlds apart, and even if it hadn't been, that last episode was totally worth the time spent on this show.Shirasaki is an awkward character-- while Hayame comes off as cold and detached. Their relationship begins to shine when the story breaks down Hayame's persona, and we're left with the raw attraction between the two.
In true Japanese fashion, this is a slow paced romance, with two characters who refuse to communicate, and instead choose to hide their needs and emotions. It's not until they find themselves at the verge of loosing everything that they're no longer willing to let the other go.
TLDR : #Slow start #Watch it for Ep10!!! #The Chemistry!!!
Watch if you enjoyed : Taikan Yoho, Perfect Propose

I loved this show. Easily a 9/10.
Everything about this show felt fresh and creative. From the sets to the characters, to the editing. Fitting for a show set in the world of production.Like other's have said, this wasn't a BL-- and if I was to rate it solely on that it would be lacking-- but I don't rate shows that way. A good show, should be a good show all around, no matter what genre it is. Do I wish there was more JaneRyan? OF COURSE.
These two characters are some of OffGun's best. Gun, like always, became Ryan. His micro expressions are always so captivating to me. He's so interesting to watch. Jane is my favorite character that I've seen Off do. He is just such an attractive character, and so nice to look at. I would have watched a show solely based on those two, and would have been beyond happy.
But-- despite JaneRyan being the heart of this show-- this show was in reality the story of 5 trainee's (and their mentor Jane) and their journey from inexperienced bumbling kids, to adults who found their path in life.
Although there are parts of this show that felt annoying to watch (Yes, I'm talking about the trio), the story lines usually felt relatable and the conclusions satisfying or at the very least understandable. All the actors in this show did a great job because they had me reacting appropriately 24.7. I felt annoyed, angry, happy, empathetic, and all the emotions possible.
This is going to sound weird but-- It was a pleasure watching these kids grow up.

Weighing the good and the bad
Weighing the good and the bad, I do believe this show was worth the watch. The Bad :
Jade's Screaming. (Of course, I have to address this because it's probably the main reason why this show is disliked by a lot of people.) If you lower the volume whenever Jade starts screaming, it makes the show 10x better.
Lack of a plot. TBH, after watching Bed Friends, I was expecting deeper more complicated characters. This show definitely suffered from the departure of Jimmy and Tommy from the project, because scheduling was a affected and Bed Friend's was filmed before Middleman's Love, causing the main conflict in Middleman's Love source material to become obsolete. They tried to fix this problem with the addition of Ton and Gus, but it didn't quite work out, relegating King and Uea to minor roles.
The Good :
Unlike many shows that torture you until the last second, Middleman's Love gave us a whole episode of Jade and Mai together as a couple. Great NC scenes, great kissing scenes, cute couple moments and meeting each other's families. This episode alone was worth the shock Jade caused every time he screamed.
At the end of the day it was a cute short watch. If you can survive Jade, the first half, the second half gets better. I personally enjoyed episode 6 and on, the most.
