Couldn't this have been a full series?
In my strongest belief, had this been a full series of like 12 to 20 episodes, this show would've been a BL classic. I'm not really much into iseki/time travel shows unless you can make it good, and Tinted With You had all the stops to be good. The problem was the length. For whatever reason that I can't find out (probably due to budget reasons), the production company decided to make this an 8 episode series each of them like 10 to 12 minutes long, and most of the time is either recapping last episode or a super long preview of what the next episode is going to be. The story felt completely rushed with modern boy transports to Joseon era Korea, modern boy has to fit in, romance happens, boy now has to return home. Uh, where was the action? Where was the conflict? I mean, couldn't we have some Inuyasha stuff happen at least? Oh, and as much as I love the theme song, I was sick and tired of it by the last episode. Like, did they not have any other songs in their soundtrack? Jeez...Overall, this show could've been great, but it missed the mark due to how much they were allowed to produce I guess.

The show is not good, is a live fanfic, not worth watching...But I LOVED IT!
The shows only appeals are the few food scenes and the fact that Cha Eunwoo plays himself and pretty much every other boyfriend character in every other K drama he's been in...but perhaps that is the point. This show must've hacked into my Google Docs at some point, but this reminds me of some sort of fanfic that I would've written when I was in my teens. I cringed while seeing it play out on the screen, but holy shit, was this hilarious.
This drama is CAMP, the true definition of CAMP. Like really? Using a real life idol as a character of a KDRAMA? Like who wrote this script? Call me biased her, but because it's Cha Eunwoo, it WORKS! Also, this series would not be able to work without the cartoony acting of Joo Ah Reum. This girl is such a delight to watch. I will always recall her mind-switch when she realizes what happened in episode 2. "OMG, you're in my apartment! This is my dream come true...WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE ANYWAY?"
Unlike otome game inspired anime or anime based on video games, this show clearly establishes a character. You get to root for her, and for the first time, I actually wanted her to have all that she wanted. Say what you will, but this drama was clearly made for a specific audience, and I am a part of that specific audience.

This reminds me of a relaxing slice of life anime, and I AM LIVING
Look, if you find the MFL super annoying, I get it. She's not for everyone, but she is very far away from being the worst FL character I've ever seen. In fact, Su Qiao is one of the most charming in terms of her character arc. She obviously plays the guide main lead because she clearly knows her small village like the back of her hand, and she won't let anything go astray in it, no matter what. Then you have the MML, Lin Zilu. Oh boy, was he a piece of work at first. Started out as a jilted pompous idol when he runs away to this small village to get away from his overbearing father and grows up to rediscovering his passions and loosening up a bit, no matter how much Su Qiao annoys him (although it's less annoying and more she's teaching him how to be a respectful gentlemen out in the country). This show doesn't exactly have an overarching plot, but I wasn't really looking for one when going into this. I was looking for some comedic adventures with a cozy group of characters in a quaint Chinese village, and that is exactly what I got. Seriously, the majority of these episodes are absolutely hilarious. The side characters completely steal the show, and I love them all. If you're not up to this cozy kind of thing, I understand. Maybe I might be rating this show too high, but this review is my truth, and I'm sticking to it.
