not a classic but worth it!
This is my first time writing a review for mydramalist...not that I disagree with the others,
I just want to share how this movie has spoken to my soul.
it was not as great as early 2000s Korean romcom classic movies we all loved...
and can't even say that it could become a favorite for this day and age when people are so critical when it comes to films.
but I am confident to say that it has the right amount of fluff and melancholy to moved people's hearts.
for a hopeless romantic like myself,
this movie has taught me a lot of things.
likehow to be brave and take that step towards love!
do it afraid despite the uncertainties and all...
maybe I am just a little biased because I can relate to So Jung (Kim So Eun), a girl full of misfortunes and a failure.
and not even a good feeling like love could overcome the sadness, insecurities and confusion within her.
That's why when a miracle suddenly happened to her,
realities of life have stopped her to taste the sweet feeling a love and dreams can bring.
it began so silly that you might think at first that it's a frivolous movie,
especially that the concept is nothing new.
but most romcoms start this way.
the comedy wasn't strikingly funny
but I did laugh on some part.
but when it's time to get emotional...
you will just realized what is the real message of the movie.
personally I like tsundere style like Seung Jae, who perfectly played by Sung Hoon with his admirable voice, physique and visual.
I dig the push and pull game...
and when he decided to get in the zone...
you just can't help but fall for his charms!
therefore this amazing guy Seung Jae made So Jung feel so ashamed and lacking...
hence the confusion...
that's why the movie title is a question.
I can't belive how a love so pure can hurt two lovely hearts. Life sucks!
you might think that you have watched better romcom movies than this one,
well, you are definitely right!
but I love how the characters found the answer to the question.
and that's what makes this film...a worthwhile.

Pandemic Romance
A short and cliche love story occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.Prepare yourself for some cheesy lines and cringey scenes that sometimes might be too hard to take.
However, this timely romance between a compassionate nurse and a cynical wedding videographer will teach you about simple things that really matter in life that we often take for granted,
like kindness, forgiveness, and a smile.
I don't usually approve this kind of twist but the turn of events led to a heartwarming ending that moved my heart.
A quick but heartfelt love story that transcends life, death, and epidemic.
This 5-episode series was produced under strict regulations in the middle of an enhanced quarantine.
So I commend the production for pulling off such a basic yet magical love story.

Like a meloromance Kdrama from early 2000.
From what I know, this Philippine primetime series that aired in 2012 will just serve as a mini-series or a filler for that time slot while the network prepares a bigger project to go against the unbeatable and sensational drama from the other network.
However, to everyone's surprise,
this cliche and predictable bittersweet young love story of Tisoy and Elisse
has become a hit!
Aside from the veteran actors,
it was a good call to cast two new and promising young actors for the lead roles.
Alden and Louise called DenLou by their fans/shipper had become one of the Philippines adored love teams in showbiz during their time.
The premise and conflicts were overused and overfamiliar but because of the amazing performances from the actors,
I have never met anyone who watched this drama who didn't shed a tear.
The melancholy and heart-fluttering moments has similar vibes to early 2000 meloromance Kdramas.

Wackily Romantic
Pinoy teleseryes are known for having very dark, twisted, and thorny premises influenced by popular Mexicanovelas from the 90s.Which is hardly my style by the way.
Therefore I was thrilled to found out that GMA7 decided to make a romcom primetime series back in 2009.
I am not sure if this was the first of its kind but all I remember was I got burned out from other over-the-top drama series that time.
So I made sure to check this show thinking to see something refreshing,
and I was never wrong,
The pilot episode got me at hello.
The feels were similar to Taiwanese dramas,
comical yet heart fluttering.
I vividly remember how I was hooked to this series when I was younger that I binged it again with my Mom,
more or less three years ago when I found a complete season on youtube.
And I will still do it again anytime!
Aside from the romance, the punchlines and comedic scenes were legitly hilarious that I still chuckled every time I think of them.
The veteran actors did a great job in that area.
Comedienne Eugene Domingo is the bomb!
Marvin and Jolina have a tested and proven chemistry that this series was a reunion project treat for their fans.
On the other hand, a lot of viewers were skeptical about the main couple Dennis and Jennica.
Probably because of the age gap? Perhaps the different celebrity status? Or maybe just because of the randomness of the pairing in this showbiz world of love teams.
But as for me, it worked out!
Like on Kdramas, the pair just make the chemistry works no matter what!
Both of them played their roles splendidly!
The story was nothing new or unique,
but when it comes to romance...
you can never go wrong with basics...
that's what I believe.
A light bordering silly romcom series that will surely entertain you in so many ways.
