Fast-paced and quick. But maybe... A bit too fast-paced.
I wish a good day to the person reading this review.About this drama, let's look at it episode-wise. The first episode will definitely get you hooked in awe. The second one will hook you even more with a slight relevation of the ML's personality. The third episode has action at the beginning, but focuses more on the chemistry between Ajin and Fa. And the fourth... It has action and chemistry both, but somehow it felt forced and didn't really make it out in my eyes. It could have been better. But the ending was definitely worth it (Brightwin stan, imma pointin at ya)
For the story, it has a major plot of black magic with a secondary plot of Ajin and Fa's chemistry.
I'll say it right now, the second plot wasn't at all required. It was too much to squeeze in 4 episodes of content alone. If the makers of this series really wanted to involve this romantic aspect, they should have added more episodes because it honestly the chemistry between Ajin and Fa just wasn't given enough time to develop. That love just didn't manage to touch the core. I couldn't feel Fa's sadness when Ajin left.
However, the main plot of the story: Well done, director! Black magic, horror, thriller, yep well done! The story flow was good, and had the right amount of pace to keep you on the edge of your toes. Besides, this is my first major dive into horror and I was happy with my experience. I won't spoil much about this part, because it is worth not spoiling.
The cast was excellent. Win was so freaking handsome and fierce dude!!! ( I would atleast check out this show only for the visuals.) He played out a strange yet appealing personality I would keep an eye for. Wonderful actor. Prim plays out her character well too, she is a good actress. But there are some scenes towards the end where her act feels forced (When she's tryna take care of Ajin). But that was in the script, I believe, where the scenes could have been designed better. She was simply playing out what was in the script. Prim on her own is an amazing actress. With the right script and the right role, she'll shine. She has got those guts! Except the chemistry part, Fa executed herself well in the series.
The villain (I won't spoil that at any cost) plays it out fantastically. Her story hits me hard. It is said too, 'A murderer is not born, but made' and this character portrays that quote perfectly. I wish I could write more about this, but I promised to not spoil this part!!! It will touch you and make you rethink certain things. Overall, thumbs up here.
I love you, Yiwha! Her role was short, yet so nice 🙂 Definitely impactful
Namsai seems delicate and elegant.
Kaohom was played well too. Known and bubbly. Anything you'd expect from a popular girl in school.
Overall, a good watch. This ought to be checked out atleast once.
I am waiting for season 2 (Hopefully)
