Short, fun, yet still deep
As a huge fan of the webtoon it was adapted from, The World of My 17 Season 2 didn't disappoint me. There was never a dull moment, the acting was fun, the plot felt very realistic, the chemistry between the characters was great to watch, and the pacing was actually done pretty well considering it only had 10 episodes. This season had bits of actual romance, but it ultimately still focused on Nari's development - which I liked. I didn't really have high expectations for this season, so I was even more surprised at how much I enjoyed it.I also feel like I have to gush about Yena and how she portrayed Nari so perfectly. Her acting was so natural that it feels like she was born for this role! It didn't seem like she was a rookie actress at all. Even the supporting characters were also endearing. And while I enjoyed everyone's acting, I have to commend Lee Wonjung as Seungha. I could see him getting bigger roles in the future with how well his performance was in this. I was swooning every episode because of him.
Overall, I really appreciate how S2 was very loyal and accurate to the source material. This was something that S1 didn't really accomplish. Although S1 was still pretty enjoyable, I felt that it was lacking in many areas, and S2 was able to fill those. Fans of the Wookyung-Mirae couple from S1 might feel a bit sad since they didn't get that much scenes this season, but it was still nice to see them pop up in the story every once in a while.
Hopefully, there will be a S3 since the ending didn't really feel like a proper ending, the love triangle has a lot of potential, and all of the characters have intriguing storylines and backstories that can still be explored. I personally think the last two episodes were quite underwhelming, but the whole experience was still great.
