I agree that it fits the bill of a typical Taiwanese drama with all the over-the-top/absurd situations that either make you laugh or cringe. It has a lot of typical drama tropes and pairings (which is...basically all the romantic relationships you see in this drama tbh), but if you're willing to endure the cheesiness, it's a pretty fun watch. I enjoyed it despite the fact that I usually avoid anything too over-the-top these days, and as someone who typically isn't the hugest fan of Chris Wu, I actually found myself enjoying his acting in this one! It's a quirky, quick watch that'll help take your mind off things for a bit.
Some gripes I have with the show: I love the (1) One Ok Rock song they use as the theme song but it feels ill-suited for the show. They also cut it off weirdly so that didn't help either. I feel like the quality of acting fluctuated a lot, which made it hard to truly become immersed in the drama. The problem felt like a mix of both the script and the delivery.
Still, if you're looking to watch something that provides comedic relief, funny family dynamics, and the occasional sweet romance, I'd give it a try!
