This is a passable action movie with not much of a story. Tiger Chen goes through a story arc in the movie but it is not really executed well even though it is actually critical to the plot. Cliches abound and the grand finales deserved better closure because it felt a bit underwhelming. The other actors do not really have much to do. Karen Mok is largely wasted. However, as everyone performed their role well, a weak storyline is better supported.
The action sequences are good though the choreography is predictable and obvious in some bits. Martial arts buffs would like the sequences as there are many of them and there are different styles on display. Thus, the rewatch value exists entirely for the action.
