Not your usual chocolate story
Sakaguchi Kentaro is one of my favorite J-actors so I had to watch this regardless how ludicrous the first episode seems. Overall it's a simple story where the main character is a little girl who lost her parents in a dubious terrorist attack. She is rescued by one of her father's assistants and from that moment they make a great due saving lives.
Back in Japan, with a very peculiar team, they start saving lives for a big deal of money and CHOCOLATE. The small ritual they have before each operation is something you start to cherish until the end. Each episode also shows each member of the improvised team and what motivates them.
The reference to a k-drama during the whole story is also unexpected, as it reflects the impact that k-dramas have in Asia. Our main character loves one of those and get's some cool lines from the episodes she watches.
This was hard to watch for a long time, as the subtitles were not available for almost a year. I'm glad and thankful for the one who put it all together and later for those who keept on searching so that we can all enjoy this small charming story.
