Decent movie. Very cliche type of plot - marine biologist guy, mermaid girl, romance. Pacing isn't the best at times and romance falls a little flat imo, and there aren't really any other meaningful relationships to speak of.

No spoilers, but the end wasn't very satisfying to me, to the point where I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, even though the movie as a whole really isn't terrible.

Decent effects, okay acting, etc. Plot that's coherent at least even though it's fairly shallow. Definitely not the worst even among bad mermaid movies.
