The reason why I started this drama was because I was curious about Moon Geun Young being casted as a “vilain”. Her face is way too sweet to be mean. I have to say: she rocked it ! Why ? Because, Ok she’s a bitch, but a bitch with a reason for being so bitchy. You feel empathy for her and her crying scene was really touching. I even cried once. And that’s pretty rare. That’s how good Moon Geun Young acting skills are. You go girl !
I also like the intensity between the character. There was fire, screams, tears, first… Too much maybe. At the end it was a bit tiring. And sometimes a bit ridiculous.
The biggest turn off was Seo Woo’s plastic face. Everytime she appeared on screen, I couldn’t concentrate on her acting and kept wondering about what was her original body and what was fake. Plus her character was annoying like hell. The all “lolita-please-protect-me” act pissed me off like crazy. And to be honest, I found the all rice wine crisis a bit ridiculous. And Taecyeon’s character was pretty useless, just watching from a far distant what was going on…
As I’m writing down those words, I still don’t know how to feel about that drama. Sure it gave some intense moments but also made me roll my eyes several times. But I would put it in my “Love” list because Moon Geun Young

I had no intentions to start this drama. The main reason was its name. “King 2 Hearts” sounds like a cheap romantic melodrama and doesn’t give justice to the drama. I don’t know why they change it because I’m sure there are many people who didn’t watch it for the same reason. And they are missing a really good show.
The drama is asking a really good question: can two countries who grow up so different from each other and became sword enemies over those 50 years can work together again ? The relationship between the two main characters kind of symbolize the connect between the North and the South. They are different but, with time, they slowly develop a good relationship and fight to keep for their love. What King 2 Hearts is telling us that beyond all those political issues, there are people. It’s a bit idealist and far from being perfect but I really like this idea.
King 2 hearts also has the greatest antagonist I’ve seen in a Korean drama: John Mayer which gave me goosebumps from time to time. That character was really well written and played. But in the other hand, the love relationship between Hang Ah and Jae Ha was kind of annoying at the end. Too much drama kill the drama. I had more fun watching the relationship between the second characters than the main loveline.
Another plus, the use of foreigners. It looks like they casted real actors and did'nt pick some random tourists on the street. This time, the acting is not awkward and they actually can act. If you watched Rooftop Prince, you know what I mean. Right ?
Like I said in the beginning, I really like Lee Seung Ki in his role. In the other hand, Hang Ah lost my interest. I liked the fierce and strong north korean woman. As the episodes passed, she became weak and uninteresting.
I have hundred things to say about King 2 Hearts but my limited english stops me. I can say that I laughed a lot, cried a lot and enjoy every episodes of that drama.

This drama had everything: A good dark revenge plot, great and super hot actors, pretty good soundtrack, the kind of suspense that keeps you awake at 3AM screaming “OH MY GOD SHE/HE DIDN’T ? =O” … Well everything to be a really REALLY good drama . Until the two last episodes…
I read that the production had to cut off the drama to 17 episodes because of the main’s actor, Kim Nam Gil’s army enlistment. That can be a good explanation for the ridiculous ending. But my heart refuse to accept any excuses.
Many mysteries are still unsolved, some revelations were ridiculous and the end… OH MY GOD THE END. I’m starting to think that Koreans don’t know how to end their TV Shows. I’ve been loving this drama for 15 episodes… The two last should have been existed. NEVER . EVER .

The definition of a good drama for me is a drama who can keep me awake at 3am and seeking for new episodes and not caring about having to work in the morning. And God, I had so many sleepless nights because of TMTETS.
Honestly, writing down how outstanding this drama is is really hard and I'm not sure if I'm able to express it correctly. So I can't talk about how amazing the characters are, how breathtaking the storyline is, how funny and cute it can be (special thumb up for Hyung Sun, who is probably my favorite one :D), how sad and heartbreaking you can be... Watch that drama, it's soo worth it !

Even the talents of the actors couldn’t save the show from boringness. The change of the writers around the 11th episode helped the plot a little but it was too little too late. The show was doomed. There was a lot of cute moments but that’s not what make a good drama.
I don’t know how to feel about Mae Ri character. She’s cute like a button, but not really reactive. I don’t know about her dress code either. It’s more looks like a hall stand. It’s like stylists kept putting clothes on her in order to look bohemian. FAIL .
Also the feminist inside me was screaming of anger the entire time. Two man fighting for a female without asking her opinion about anything is a bit too much for me. Plus a father selling his only daughter to a rich family in exchange of money… Isn’t it illegal ? I know it’s just a drama but I can’t help to be a bit confused about the all situation.
The good point about that drama is Waffle Porn (nickname I gave to Kim Jae Wook), I was able to see him growing up as an actor. Ok, the two dramas he starred was huge disappointment for me (Bad Guy and this one) but he’s getting better and better.
My heart aches when I think about how good this drama could have been. sigh .

When I heard about the korean adaptation of City Hunter, I must say, I was quite excited. The main character is an amazing cop with a cheap casanova personality. But in that drama, there is some cop action (more bodyguard for the president action) but the cheap casanova is nowhere to be seen… I know, they had to change the plot because of the similarities with Plan B (which was pretty bleh.) but they could AT LEAST keep that “cheesy pervert” vibe… Or change the name of the drama.
It was what I thought first… GOD I WAS WRONG. After a few episodes, I totally forgot about the original City Hunter.
This is probably one of the best drama I’ve ever seen .It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be, but definitely not a bad drama. And for some various reasons:
- Some REALLY GOOD actors. Lee Min Ho kicked some serious ass. Boy, that guy can act !!!
- a REALLY GOOD plot . The all revenge plan was oh-so-good.
- Some REALLY GOOD eye candies. Lee Min Ho and that sexy prosecutor for the ladies and Park Min Young who is too pretty for her own good.
- Some REALLY GOOD kick ass fight scenes . Seriously, mind blowing. *___* Did you ever seen a cool fight scene with a bottle of water ? Well, City Hunter did it.
- Some REALLY GOOD close up on Lee Min Ho’s ass . And Dat ass is a masterpiece.
- some REALLY GOOD close up on Sexy Prosecutor. That sauna scene… I will never forget it .
I think most of drama’s writers don’t know how to finish their story. But not this one. I was, for the first time in my life I think, pleasant by how all the story ended.

I only watched the first episode and the preview of the second one to know that I shouldn't waste my time to understand what is going on that story. Plus, Shin Se Kyung didn't help. Her eternal confused face annoys me sooo much. I couldn't go further.
The real question is: what the hell Yoo Ah In is doing here ?! I love that actor and he seems to be someone who pick up his roles carefully. I need an explanation.

But I'm must admit, I'm slightly disappointed with "Big" .
All the ingredients for a good drama were there though: Good casting, an interesting plot, the name "Hong Sisters" on the script... But with "Big", they put had a new one which ruin everything: BORINGNESS . I found it hard to continue a drama where nothing is progressing. Any of the characters have capture my heart yet and to be really honest, Gil Da Ran annoys me. After 10 episodes, I still can't find the purpose of this drama and the excitment the other Hong dramas has provided me. Where is it leading ? I have no idea and episode after episode, I find it hard to continue.
