I enjoyed it but after a while it becomes so boring when the characters start to have the same conversations over and over and over again. After a while, all conversations felt like recaps of what had happened and scenes became a mixture of this, plus a bit of teasing about how things might work out next.
It felt like always waiting for things to happen, with strangely dull payoff. I think someone said in their review here that Dan Oh's role becomes just exclaiming 'Ha Ru!' towards the end, and they weren't wrong. A shame - there was so much opportunity! There were so many makings-of-good moments that were enough to keep you watching through the increasingly mundane scenes towards the end - I just wish it had more of these.

And so yes, the first half: nice but overdone acting but cute times and a nice enough drama - over-the-top, a little silly, cliche scenes/moments, and a little unempowering. But the second half is just a no. Even if it's entertaining at times - if you can suspend belief and think 'ah, it's romantic in some way', it's unhealthy as heck.

A little over the top at the start, but cuter towards the end as the characters to get know each other and a friendship forms. I like that it showed a friendship growing, which seemed really natural and lovely - and that warm feeling of feelings appearing was portrayed really nicely. (Nice for watching between dramas, after one long one and before committing to another.)

Eye-rolling and joy, somehow
This show was ridiculous in a way that really grew on me (and watching it with the Viki comments on was hilarious, too) and I see-sawed between a lot of eye-rolling and some amusement, which was a really weird mix. (I think a lot of it was made better by having commentary the comments playing at the same time because it still felt slow but without it would have felt really slow). Somehow I didn't love Veronica Park the first second when we meet her but quickly realised she is AMAZING and sometimes carries the show. Her scenes were pretty much guaranteed to always be entertaining.I wasn't rushing to watch it, but I did enjoy watching it. It was relaxing and comforting - the plot developments didn't feel particularly overwhelmingly emotional at any point.

I started watching this because I wanted to see Lee Pil Mo (who played Kook Cheon Soo) after seeing him in Pinocchio playing an excellent role as reporter Hwang Gyo Dong. He hasn't had many (any?) lead roles but he really stood out as second male lead here. I initially cared about his role, but as someone else has said this in their review, ended up caring about everyone. I found the arguments between the two leads a little hard to get into at the beginning, and so being interested in Lee Pil Mo was a very good distraction. But it always takes me a couple of episodes to get into things and the Emergency Couple's romance and the way they rediscover it, and navigate discovering changes (i.e. character changes from the time after their relationship and during their time in the ER) and with that adjusting how they see each other - and with a good amount of other things going on at the same time - was really lovely. The Mother-in-Law's acting was initially pretty extreme/exaggerated too, but it calms down over time. I felt like it was a drama that softened and matured over time, too. It felt like the right length - I wasn't bored or impatient at any point, and it didn't feel rushed or forced. I loved that it had an original storyline and carefully navigated a couple getting together in a way that really felt natural and enjoyable to watch. Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Couldn't decide whether to root for them or not
Halfway through I wasn't sure how this was going to go and read some reviews which made me worry that it was going to be a depressing, miserable ending in which we pitied the lead woman. But, I actually really liked it. It was a little slow - which was probably when I started checking reviews and wondering if I really wanted to be watching it - but I think it shows people coming to terms with their emotions and figuring them out quite well. That seems to be mostly what's happening. It had a few unanswered questions - I wish they'd answered what exactly one of the person's relationship was with the other at one point rather than keeping that all quite vague.I liked the first half - not just because it was 'new love' and felt really happy but the second half was less good, and I had to play that one 1.5x speed because I wanted to know what happened but found it was really labouring it and felt very slow. I also couldn't quite decide - maybe like Na-Bi - if I wanted to emotionally invest in the ML & FL in the second half. In that way, I suppose it was pretty effective. I liked seeing Jae-Eon emotionally evolve a little bit, finally.
The other couples, I loved. Especially the GL.
