Falls apart in third act

It's fun for a while, but the third act is a complete mess. The female rival is super toxic with no redeeming qualities. The male rival becomes a villain out of nowhere. The male lead suffers a lot of manipulation and guilt for no good reason - it's hard to watch him get walked all over for so long. Third act just gets progressively worse. Luckily the two leads and their sidekicks are fun to watch or it wouldn't be worth it at all.
Megan Lai is an absolute delight as always, so I stuck it out for her and the adorable Roy Chiu.
Acting is great all around, but the plot is just a disaster.
