Masterpiece.
If you would've asked me before what my favourite drama ever was, I would've told you "Wang's Family" (aka King's Family). But if you ask me today, I would tell you "Jewel In The Palace". This drama was phenomenal. The story was superb. The characters were fantastic. The whole thing was just amazing. From the first few episodes that introduce you to the palace world, to the 8 or or so episodes carried by that little girl, to the Lee Young Ae's masterful portrayal. If you haven't seen this one, then watch it. It's a classic, and until something tops it. It is my favourite drama I've ever seen!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Ooof...
Wow. Just finished watching this. Definitely among the very best dramas I've seen. Yeah that ending... Be ready for that. Hehe. This drama broke the mold in many ways and was just so special all throughout. I kind of had feelings that made me think about when I watched My Golden Life. I highly recommend this drama. So good. Aside from Kim Tae-ri's marvelous acting, the entire cast was really good. This was, I think, Nam Joo-hyuk's best role so far as well. He certainly came a long way from Bride of The Water God.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Torturous! But good.
My goodness. This show. Wow. I mean, it was a great drama ok, very melodramatic. But the thing is, it's probably the most sadistic drama I've ever seen! hahah, they just twist and turn you up and down, up and down, up and down, it just never stops man. They just torture you and brutally play with your emotions all throughout the show. Especially starting around episode 8 and then it just keeps going until the very end. They just don't let you have any peace! I mean, oh my god. I don't think I will ever watch another drama like this. I think that after this one, no other drama will torture as much as this one, and I'll be emotionally prepared for anything that comes my way! LolWatch this, but beware! You will be taken for a difficult ride!
Damn Koreans! They make the best dramas! lol
It was hard to even feel happy at the end because of how damaged I felt throughout the whole thing! lol

Special.
What I want to say about this drama, aside from that I really liked it, was that it reminded me yet again how Korea knows how to write good love stories. This was a very different drama. Different pace, and different style of storytelling. I found that it all really started coming together at episode 9. Which is very rare to see. But it came together beautiful. The story was unrushed. The ending was wonderful. They didn't go over the top, and it was just right. I highly recommend this drama, but know that going in to it, you're going to be getting something out of the ordinary.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
A piece of IU history nevertheless.
Well... It was okay. Kind of weak honestly. I stopped watching by episode 12 because I just didn't care about how it ended, and I wanted to start watching something else. IU was good but, this was her first drama and she was 20yrs old in this. (Wow what a difference even 3 yrs made when she did Scarlet Heart! It's like she grew up SO MUCH during that time. And now, at 25 yrs old she is just amazing overall). So, yeah this is a glimpse at a very "young" IU in a drama that is just "okay". I even like the male lead in this, and all the other dramas he's in. It's just the story itself was not very strong.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
