There are bad point's about this movie though. As already stated by another reviewer, beauty is one of the themes in this film, and most probably know that, not only in thai media, but in most asian media, light skin is seen as beautiful. Luckily, in this movie, they make up for it by the end of the movie. I don't want to spoil the movie so i won't say why. Another bad point was the ending. I just felt it was a little childish/unrealistic, but don't make that stop you from watching the film. it isn't THAT bad.
Overall, the movie isn't one to skip!

it's a heartwarming movie that centres around a girl in her 20's and a child that she is forced to take care of while her sister(the mother of the child) goes on a business trip. I liked this movie because it centers around these two characters and their growth together, rather than wasting screen time on unnecessary love lines, although there still is a minor one. Their relationship builds throughout the film and you could really feel the chemistry with the two. the child is also extremely cute so beware of that. The movie builds the viewers emotions towards the two characters throughout the film, so you may need a tissue box. Overall, there is definitely a really great message that is sent with this movie that will touch anybody's hearts.

The reason why people were disappointed with this drama is because, well, it's just too damn realistic. People wanted a steamy drama about an affair where a hot and mysterious guy sweeps a girl off of her feet, but this isn't that type of drama, because, as already stated, this drama is realistic. What makes this drama so good though is that the emotions are so raw and believable. While watching lee jun (soo hyuk) and the female lead interact, i literally felt the intensity in my chest, it was that intense. I even watched the drama a second time and i still felt the emotions, and this is the reason why i think you NEED to watch this drama. I honestly decided to watch this drama since im a fan of uhm tae woong but lee shi young and lee soohyuk's acting blew me away. To top it off the supporting actors and their characters were all so interesting to watch, not one of their characters were ordinary or boring, and i can say that i didn't dislike a single character in this drama. The whole cast meshed great together and in such a natural and realistic manner.
Basically, fast forward through the 1st two episodes and watch this drama, you will not regret it, unless what you're into is unrealistic, corny, and predictable dramas.

Anti-climatic
I could not wait to watch this, as I love im siwan as an actor, and him finally in a romance drama was a dream come true for his comeback. This drama started so strong, it gave me butterflies and felt fresh, but... it went nowhere. I actually have no idea why anyone would recommend this drama unless you're planning to watch it in the background while doing something else. but that's just my opinion. And actually, i am the type that loves very simple slice-of-life dramas that have very obvious plotlines but this drama was missing something for me, and it just lacked charm. I honestly binged this because i was trying to get to the climax and... I was just extremely disappointed.1. I don't understand what this drama is about after watching it. it's all over the place, did they really need 16 episodes for what happened (or did not happen) in the drama? Im sorry but the two leads love story was too plain and boring for the drama to revolve around it. They tried to make it seem different but it was very bland to me.
2. The second leads love story is the worst I've seen in drama history. I have no idea why they ended up liking each other, and the drama does not even give you any straws to grab onto to make up a reason why they love each other so passionately. I don't understand, did they even have one conversation with each other where they're not being rude or arguing? its not 2009 this doesn't cut it anymore.
In conclusion, there was potential. The acting was all amazing, very natural and plotline was unique, but they did nothing with it. I wish the drama was about the guy who was being bullied, that would have been 100x more interesting because I was way more interested in seeing his happy ending than anyone else's, but they did not give that plotline enough attention. This drama was a waste of my time. Also, i know Im Siwan is pretty no matter what but did the makeup artist have to put that much foundation on his face? lmaoo

Serious about the most unserious things in life = Just cringy
If you want to start a J-drama where the two leads make your heart flutter and excited about them getting together, well, this isn't that drama, Although it could have been. This drama started off good but after ep 3 it was clear this was gonna be another j drama where the same thing happens every episode, with no progress. But honestly, that doesn't even bother me, what bothered me the most was how overdramatic this drama was with no good reason at all. It was trying to be serious so hard, making this such a hard and often cringy watch. I think I'm in the minority but I much prefer unrealistic cliche dramas to ones like this that are supposed to be a romcom but leave you bored and confused as to why a character is so upset over something so... unserious. Like it wanted to be angsty but without developing any reason for the viewer to understand why a character is acting a certain way. also, the two leads have 0 chemistry together, The love triangle was not believable at all cause I honestly did not understand why either of them liked her to that "deep" level. They literally did not develop any story as to why they fell for her, the writers really thought her being the FL was enough for the viewers to just accept it. Like there are tons of charismatic women at the workplace who also work hard so it made no sense to me why the CEO especially liked her. There is NO reason given at all by the character.... Once again, a really fake deep drama about "finding yourself" but no real discussions or plot points happening that give any insights on the theme at all. J-Romcoms, DO BETTER, please.

Lost potential
If you came here to see if this drama is worth watching because you like one of the actors that appear in it, i'd say it is. It is not nearly as bad as the reviews (including mine) make it seem. It is your average drama, and i would not say anything made it overwhelmingly bad or unwatchable. It was good for what it was, and i bet with this binged (where you could skip the filler scenes), the drama would be a solid 7.8.Now for my harsher opinion...Let me start by saying i am jinyoungs biggest fan, and have been his fan for 10 years, so i was so excited for him to finally be the lead in a drama on a public broadcast channel. This started soooo good, amazing, i could not even imagine it getting bad, but then... i was so bored that not even his 10/10 visuals were keeping me interested.
the plot:
The main problem with this drama is that the vibe of the first few episodes (which was fresh, youthful, and fun) did not match the vibe of the later episodes. I would say the drama got boring after episode 6 or 7. That's simply because the people who were watching from the beginning, were most likely in it for the romance, but that completely became watered down into nothing to the point where i could not care less where the romance even went. I would almost consider this a drama without a love line because it became that boring and irrelevant to the story. I cannot believe they barely did anything with the storyline of the female leads mother, one of the few interesting things this drama put in place at the beginning. Past the initial episodes, this drama is completely different, all the charms were lost into a boring gambling storyline.
Listen, i get that police drama's about crime are also of interest to people, but there are tons of police dramas, while there are none about a police university. This drama is lost potential because the focus should have been on the students, the hardships they went through, love, studying, or whatever drama that happens when you are preparing to be a police officer??? (guess we will never know?) I cannot believe this drama threw all that away for some basic gambling storyline, like at least make it a murder one like law school that actually keeps you interested.
Overall, People were interested in this drama because we thought we would get the police university version of a heart-fluttering campus drama, but no. we got a police drama, that has a lot of scenes that take place at a university.
the acting:
People hated on the acting more than they should have. The acting was great, and the times where it was bad was not because of the actors, but because of the over-dramatic script. They had jinyoung act shocked about things that weren't even shocking. Before you right off his acting as bad because of this lack luster drama i'd recommend you watch literally anything else he has been in, his acting in his last movie gave me goosebumps. The same goes for the other cast members. Cha taehyun is a well-known actor, but even his acting seemed so awkward at times because some scenes were just so overdramatic when it did not need to be.
Overall: For a Monday Tuesday drama competing against huge names, this didn't do that bad ratings-wise, so i hope that the actors in this drama find themselves better roles in better dramas. I especially hope Jinyoung can lead again in a drama that is unique and interesting because this drama definitely was not any of that. I do recommend you watch the first 6 episodes though, because it is so worth it. Then just drop it once you get bored.

another thing that bothered me was how pang was all of a sudden a good person in this season when in season 2 she was a little crazy but all of a sudden we get this character that is looked at as a saint when she was nothing near that in season 2. in season two it was made apparent how she wasn't a good friend but this fact no longer exists in s3 or is even touched upon so the writers of this season kinda annoyed me w/ this.
This series is legendary for me though, although when i think about it its just your typical teenage-high school drama, but there is just something about it that makes it stand out from any high school drama i have ever watched. Maybe one of the reasons is the legendary 1st gen cast that brought us, not only a group of very good looking people, but a lot of good actors too. The issues the drama brought forth is also a change for the typical thai-drama which was a big deal in Thailand and I just feel that it all ended very tamely. the last episode didn't feel like a last episode, i don't know maybe i'm saying this cause i don't want this series to end, but a little part of me wishes it ended after the 2nd season because the beauty of this show was really in the 1st cast and it just proves how important a great cast, and the chemistry they have together, matters.
