Masterpiece

This kdrama is very special to me. It revived my literary passion and thoughts, while watching each episodes. It was an experience of being literally transported into the screen, watching the actors played their role and witness every gripping and heart wrenching episodes (especially EP 14). The running time for each episode is 1 hour but it feels like I have been watching it for too long, yet without feeling bored neither the need to speed up the scenes. To liken it to music, the tempo is just right to enjoy the lyrics. Yoo Ah-in's portrayal of the character is admirable. There was distinction of acting relevant to the era of the role. He imbibed the role of an author flawlessly. I like the smooth transition between era and how the missing pieces of the story is revealed. With all the Kdramas I've watched this by far stands out in terms of literary value. It's entertaining and engrossing. Although I don't necessarily believe in reincarnation, other themes related to integrity, friendship, living life, trust and forgiveness were impeccably wrapped and embodied in the lives of the character, plot and setting of the story. I am thankful that this appeared in the recommended dramas to watch.
