Predicament
From the moment I started to keep up with this drama, I fell in love.If something makes me feel nostalgic and fills my heart with warmth at the thought, of course I will hold onto it dearly. This drama had given me those feelings and so much more. The youthful innocence mixed with navigating independence, the struggle to provide and be present while wanting something for yourself, and the presence of love as a way of life rather than an arrangement.
Those are all things that were so beautifully addressed by our lovely cast and story.
Yet, the last episode lacked all of this. It lacked the authenticity and uniqueness this drama had. Perhaps, the goal was to show that not everything happens the way you think it will, but I firmly believe that lesson can be taught in different ways.
Why did the ending feel so unnatural? It was likely because in an effort to do something new, the story fell into a vague grey area where it lost its way.
Of course, I will never forget the way my heart fluttered when Baek Yi Jin did whatever he could to supprt Heedo. I will never forget how touched I felt when that group of friends navigated their youth together.
Is it so wrong to have wanted more for them? I don't think so.
I can't pretend that the story leading up to the finale didn't have a tight grip on my heart that loosened out of confusion upon watching the ending. But at least I can look back at those moments that fill me with joy and remember that there was a time when things were different.

This drama wrecked me. I came in looking for a lighthearted romance. This was so much more. From the very first episode, you would be able to tell that this drama is no joke. It's mature and serious and will pull at your heartstrings.
It is a reminder to give second chances, to cherish those whom you love, to apologize when necessary, to speak up, to tell someone how you feel before it's too late.
While Noh Eul and Joon Young had their ups and downs, they are a prime example of trusting your gut. Don't wait until it's too late.
Joon Young was more than his illness. He was more than his career. He was more than every label he was given. He lived well and on his own terms. I'm glad that he held onto Noh Eul. I'm glad that he didn't give in.
Despite everything, Noh Eul and Joon Young were there for one another. Isn't that ultimately what true love is? In sickness and in health? Through the pain and into new beginnings.
Noh Eul had to go on with life, but Joon Young will be with her every step of the way, counting all the reasons he loves her. From one reason and way past nine and a half and a quarter and an eighth and a sixteenth.

The brutal truth and reality of revenge
Honestly, I randomly clicked on this drama. I'm not really one who enjoys action, but I ended up loving this. It was a quick watch and didn't drag anything on. Perfect for an 8 episode series. The story itself was nothing incomprehensible. It all made sense so it didn't feel too outrageous. It was real and it was honest. You definitely get a look into the main character's mind, and before you know it, she's learned so much about herself and the people around her. I thought her relationship with Pildo was nice and didn't feel too out of place. Not to mentiom Choi Mujin's character. I'd give him a 10/10 alone. I loved it. I only wish that we saw a little more of Gangjae, but I guess the limited time would not permit it. Anyways, this drama was something I never saw coming. I hope lots of people watch it and enjoy it as much, if not more than I did.(Also this was the second drama I've seen with Han So Hee as the lead, the first being Nevertheless, and I definitely think she killed this role. I enjoyed her in this way more.)

One of the most well-rounded and enjoyable watches EVER
I considered writing a well thought out review for like a total of five minutes, but I can't. So, allow me to just yap. This drama had very quickly made it obvious to me that it would become my all time favourite. There are so many core reasons as to why, I'm not sure how to list them all. First off, the casting was splendid. I wouldn't change a single thing. The acting was impeccable. The emotions were so real. I adored that this drama started out with a focus on high school life, giving me that cute high school romance that I love so much. The fantasy undertones were the root, yet they did not take away from the sweetness of their youth. There were so many times when I genuinely forgot that this was a story of Im Sol going back and forth. It feels like she lived so many lives and we got to witness so much of it. I am also so glad that it wasn't a situation in which Sun jae's feelings were hidden for an unnecessary amount of time. You know how sometimes it'll be that the female lead likes the male lead and then you find out later that he liked her all along, but they tell you rather than showing you? I loved that this drama showed us his perspective so early on. There may have been some back and forth with him and Im Sol about their feelings, but we knew. However, I believe the miscommunication was just the right amount. It wasn't like they were going crazy trying to hide their feelings... Even in the last few episodes as Im Sol tried to stay away, it was obvious that Sun jae was just ignoring her completely because he could see through her efforts.
I loved seeing their youth, it just gave me butterflies the whole time. I'm glad we spent time in the past, seeing them all build bonds and grow together. Everyone's story was touched on well, we got see how In Hyuk, Tae sung, Sun jae, and Im Sol had come together as well.
Tae Sung became a very beloved character and somehow one of the most sensible of them all. I appreciate how his intellect was something present even in his youth and he learned how to better channel it as he grew older.
Sun Jae was just a green flag all around. I have so much to say but my mind can't pinpoint a single thing. He was great.
All in all, this drama really touched my heart. It truly was about making sacrifices and learning to sometimes be selfish and give yourself a happy ending. I think the saddest part was knowing that even though Sun Jae and Im Sol have their memories, those experiences that all the characters shared in the past are no longer part of their timeline. It's unfortunate to know that in some ways, they missed out on a very pretty life filled with sweet moments. That's why episode 13 was definitely the saddest for me.
Anyways, this was a 10/10 kdrama with amazing romance, beautiful moments of the past, and really makes you appreciate the privilege of time.
