As another reviewer stated, for a show called Miss Lee, they truly don't focus on her that much. They don't even really make her the glue that holds things together. She mostly is kind of hopeless, and never really hits her stride like you expect. So you either want a comedy about a person who gets thrust in to a unique position and funny things happen, or you want a serious drama about the person figuring it out along the way through tough trial and error. Neither really happen here, and you are left wondering what the point of the main character even is.
The writers contradict themselves multiple times in the story. The characters are very gullible, and unlikable, with the exception of one or two. You know that cliche where everyone falls for someone's gossip story, but eventually they stop getting duped because they learn their lesson? Forget that. Everyone just believes everything they are told, and when they do question it, they are still eventually convinced by a quick rebuttal.
Not only does Miss Lee herself not get much attention. The second female lead also gets very little screen time and story development. I kind of want to do a spoiler review so I can point out the kabillion writing mistakes/contradictions, but I am not sure it's worth the time.
Verdict: This thing is a damn mess. I was kind of floored at how incoherent this was.

I really liked search WWW, and I thought that I would never see a better trio of female leads for the rest of my drama viewing life.
Then Be Melodramatic happens. These women might not have the same snap to them as the Search WWW cast, but the dialogue here is second to none. Every time they are just sitting around the couch and gossiping or philosophizing, I was completely sucked in to the conversation. That's not even something I am normally in to, but the writing is so damn good here.
Everything is here. Clever writing. Comedy that doesn't involve putting the character in a funny situation, but actually is derived from well written and delivered lines. Very little cliches, and when there are, they are very self aware. At the end, ven some character development that you aren't expecting for a side character. In your heart you wanted to go one way, but the writers dragged you another, and it actually worked, and you aren't left bitter at all about their choice. That is rare for a drama. Usually when the writers do something you are rooting against, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. They someone turn that on it's head.
Not much else to say here. This is a 10/10, and of the 87 dramas I have now watched, this is only the 3rd perfect 10 I have given out.

They even break a cliche at the end, and it's done in such a fun way.
If you like fun dramas, with rock solid female lead acting, look no further.

I had high expectations because it was the same writer as Jang Bori, and I love me some Jang Bori. When watching these longer dramas, you are going to see all the cliches and eye rolling moments. You will also be able to point out somewhere between 1 to 10 plot holes depending on how good the writing is. This show has about 40 to 50 glaring plot holes, and I am not exaggerating even a little bit. The writer clearly lost control of this somewhere after episode 20ish, and never got it back on track. The acting is great, especially Kim Da Som. So without spoiling I will list a few grips.
- This is supposed to be about 3 woman overcoming tragedy. At some point the writer just stopped including the character Kang Ha Ri, who you think is going to be a major part of the story, if not the main protagonist. There are supporting characters in this show that get almost double the amount of screen time. She is just completely forgotten about, and doesn't even get a story line of her own. For someone who is a lead in this show, it is very strange, and the first time I have seen a lead get completely ignored this badly in a 50+ drama.
- Kang Ha Ri's sister is played by an young actress that has actually been the lead in other dramas. They also ignore her. There are completely uninteresting characters that get a ton of screen time, but someone like her is ignored when she can actually carry a show on her own. It's baffling.
- The show is almost insulting with the way they portray autism and blindness.
- Another drama where the poor people who do bad things to try and get rich end up not learning their lessons and do not receive a redemption. There are 3 main villains, the two ones from a poor background get the shaft, while the rich girl learns her lesson and gets a redemption ending in a bittersweet way.
- All the bad characters are female. I understand that every story needs a villain, and sometimes that villain should be female because that's how numbers work. But in this drama, all the main bad characters are women. It gets kind of old. (these women are crazy stereotype)
I am not saying don't watch this one. It has all the fun stuff you want in a drama. You just have to tolerate that the writers simply didn't care to make any sense in this one. It has all the drama, but you have to constantly fight off the fact that you notice plot hole after plot hole after plot hole. Some episodes it happens 3 or 4 times. I expect plot holes when you have to write 54 hours of content. I don't expect them to happen this much. I wasn't rolling my eyes because of the silliness that dramas provide. I was rolling my eyes on how bad the writer just didn't get how some of the stuff didn't make sense in the context of the story.
This comes off as more of a rant, but I feel this story was wildly incoherent, and this is the worst of the 50+ episode dramas I have watched.

The drama itself has a few minor flaws, but floats along so nicely. I actually think it should have been 16 one hour episodes, instead of 45 minutes, as there should have been a little more time to develop the secondary characters. Other than that, you will find yourself with a smile on your face 95% of the time while watching this.
Jeon So Min deserves more lead roles, PERIOD! There is just no reason for her to not be a top tier lead. She nails romance, and has perfect comedic timing. There are only a few leads that have both, and she is one of them.
