Not badly done but overall I dont think it would be very relatable to LGBT people.

Writing this as a lesbian + occasional reader of BL. I will also say that I cannot understand the mindset of fujoshis and think that many BL tropes are demeaning to LGBT people.

Most of the plot points about being gay are present in many other gay coming-of-age tv/movies. So as someone who has seen a lot of those, I didn't feel particularly moved. But I think that all of them are true to what real life gay people face, and it doesn't contain anything I would consider homophobic or misinformation. Although the show deals with heavy issues like suicide/relationships with a large age gap, I think it handled those pretty well.

I really liked both the leads. Even though I couldn't sympathise with Miura at the start, I felt really sorry for her when she was being led on by Jun. I think that the story is an OK representation of how everyone is hurt when gay people enter into this sort of relationship.

The use of Queen songs felt heavy-handed, maybe because the English lyrics sometimes matched up too well with the scene. It felt almost comedic at times. But the use of Queen in the story was good and gave it a strong theme.

Overall I thought this show was OK, and had moments where I could relate a lot to Jun. But some of the more BL centric plot points felt far fetched.
